AC MIlan In Bid To Sign Newcastle’s Jose Enrique

It’s not surprising at all to hear that a top club may be after Newcastle’s top Spanish U21 left-back Jose Enrique.

Jose Enrique – Newcastle’s star left-back – going nowhere

That’s because the player, who turned 25 last Sunday, has been in outstanding form over the last couple of seasons on Tyneside, and he still seems to be improving his play.

Jose is now a strong, determined and very skillful player, so it’s hardly a surprise to hear that AC Milan may be interested in buying the defender.

Jose, like a number of Newcastle’s top players, has been highly impressive since his side’s return to the Premier League this season, but the plans are for Newcastle to offer the Spaniard a new improved and extended deal at the famous Newcastle club.

The news in Italy is that the Italian giants are preparing a bid, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The news suggests that Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri wants a new left-back and is looking to get either Enrique or Bayern Munich’s Diego Contento.

Maybe he will have more luck with Deigo Contento.

Manchester United are also said to be considering a move for Enrique should their French left-back Patrice Evra leave  Old Trafford for pastures anew in the summer, which now seems possible.

Jose Enrique is going nowhere of course, and Newcastle may have already starting negotiations for a new deal for Jose, and he will be offered great new terms to stay on Tyneside, which he has always said he wants to do.

He’s get a great new contract because this lad has earned every penny of it, for the part he has played in the last couple of years in getting Newcastle back to the upper half of the Premier League.

Jose has been playing fantastic football, and has committed himself to Newcastle United, and is one of the central core of top players, around which Alan Pardew will build the team of the future on Tyneside.

We’re proud of  Jose – and he’s going nowhere.

m.0001 @ post 4. Thanks for the good news mate. It would be a disaster to lose El Toro right now. Whilst I wouldn’t go quite as far as Brutoon’s claims at post 2, I would certainly agree that there isn’t another LB in the world currently that I would rather see in the toon.

I love enrique too but lets not say silly things lol.

He wont be let go even if he wanted out, but he has made it clear how happy he is in newcastle so i dont think he’d want out of the club.

Theres probably only real madrid and barce who would really turn the lads head and quite honestly i cant see that this year

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!

When we’re saddled with so much c..p like Perch, Smith (actually that’s pretty much it these days) we mustn’t lose our jewel in the crown Enrique.

Somehow we’ve stumbled on Tiote, Ben Arfa, Enrique, Colo, Jonas (?,) Carroll, Barton, Krul, etc and with a good manager we should be top 6, not just looking to survive.

Bale is a world class left-winger.

He is abysmal at left-back. No positional sense at all.

Praying for Jose to stay. He is a hero on Tyneside.

Agreed brutoon, how many times has Harry Redknapp had to get Lennon to change wings coz he can’t get past the LB…NEVER!

Enrique is easily the best LB in the premier league at the moment just more notice would be taken if he was playing for Man Utd etc. But hey he’s ours to keep and all we need to do is carry on building on what we currently have to get an impeccable squad 😀

Jose is close to superseeding Bez as my all time favourite Toon LB. The only reason I rate Bez higher is because Bez once scored with his ass, and gives such fantastic stories at talk-ins. If it just came to a straight fight over ability, then Jose probably just edges it (by a country mile).

It doesnt say anything about this in the Gazzetta, did you actually check this for yourself Ed or did you get this “info” from the muppets at Talksport??? The latter me thinks!!!

And as already stated Milan did indeed but Emmanuelson yesterday.

Id love to say JOSE WONT GO, but i mean, an offer from a world class club almost guaranteed champions league football club…..it might happen.

If Jose supported Newcastle it would be a different story, but you cant expect guys like this to stay on, no matter what he has said in the past..

Its now up to Newcastle to turn down any offers and convince Enrique to stay longer, we need him, he is the best LB in the league.

Agree with Petey, want him to stay but am worried the draw of Champoins League might be too strong. I think people saying we’ll get 30mil are a bit off the mark as his only got 18 months left on his contract, I reckon more 12m. Hopefullylike others he signs a new contract soon!

No one wants to lose the likes of Enrique, Tiote, Carroll or Barton but the reality is if a top club come in with the right amount of cash and an offer of higher wages they will go. If Man Utd cannot keep Ronaldo how can we expect to keep anyone if someone dangles a big enough juicy carrot. The above four are probably good enough for any club in this country where they could get league and cup medals. With us other than the League Cup or qualifying for the Europa League they will not win anything. Very few if any on this site would stick with their current employers if someone offered to double or triple their wage, why should footballers be any different? Not trying to p*ss people off, will be gutted if any of them go but we have to be realistic.

    Exactly.

The only difference i can see is if you support the club. Like Carroll. If your already earning 40 grand a week and playing for the club you supported for i dont know how long and on top of all that a fan favourite…then i see no reason to leave. Shearer is an example.

Cant expect the same out of Enrique, but i cant say i wont be angry if he leaves, because he does claim to be a big fan of how things are going at the moment….

Well if this is true, then we’ll see how loyal Enrique is to the Toon…. mmmmm

    a) Toon offer him a new improved extended deal!
    b) AC Milan offer him a contract!

    Which will he take.. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Just in: van Aanholt to Leicester for the season on loan – Chelsea must want him to play every week. Shame, would have liked him back at SJP as cover for El Torro.

it all depends on clubs ambition.. of course its better to achive sth. >finish top 4, win a cup, etc. with a team you grew with..progress together..fight from bottom, rather then just walk into a winning team & win some medals.. so in my opinion noone will leave as long as we progress..& as long as there’s good atmosphere among players..

& enrique..no way he’ll leave..he was probably a target for milan, but they couldnt get him so they spent 4 mio on a not as good, but solid left back.. all players who play will stay..

& also..we dont need a left back..we have kadar..i cant belive he’s not playing for us.. true..he didnt play many first team matches in newcastlte shirt, but he never made a mistake..he was reliable.. we have a great young player in our hands..he’s better then wili & taylor! wili makes too many mistakes..colo’s saving his ass every match..& taylor..he’s a fighter..thats why he appreciated & he’s a solid center back..but kadar in 3 years time (IF HE PLAYS) could be world class defender.. which taylor will never be.. like i said..he’s a fighter & thats a very good thing..& he’s dangerous going forward..can score a goal..but he’s not that reliable as a defender..& thats what you need in this league..2 great CB’s..

If he goes and we make a pot on him, assuming FatAsh doesn’t blow it on a night playing craps, I hope its soon enough that we can get Van Arnholt.
