Ben Arfa Aims To Be World Class Player For Newcastle

More comments from Ben Arfa’s agent today, about Newcastle’s top midfielder, 23 year-old Frenchman Ben Arfa.

Ben Arfa – when he first arrived in Newcastle last August

The lad is getting close to returning to Newcastle to resume training with the squad,  and we heard this morning that he seems to be in top physical shape already, having been training at the famous French National Football Academy, Clairefontaine, just outside of Paris.

The news is that the lad is working a full six hours a day, under the careful supervision of Paris Saint-Germain doctor Eric Roland, and the doctor told the French press yesterday that Ben Arfa was making significant progress.

And the Newcastle Journal this morning is reporting that with recent cardiogram tests performed at the Academy, the former Marseille midfielder is now in better condition than when he arrived on Tyneside last August.

That’s good to hear.

His agent Simon Stainrod has revealed what Hatem has been thinking while he’s been out:

“The permanent move is good for Hatem, it’s good for the fans and hopefully it’s good for the club,”

“Hatem is just grateful to Alan Pardew, he’s grateful to Derek Llambias and he’s grateful to Mike Ashley.”

“I think it lays a marker down and now Hatem is desperate to get back playing and pulling on that black and white shirt again.”

“He told me that his goal is to become one of the best players in the world in a Newcastle shirt.”

It will be a great time indeed, when Ben Arfa is back on Tyneside, and then when he first appears on that St. James’ Park pitch again, he’s going to be surprised by the massive roar that will come from the very appreciative Newcastle fans.

They have already taken this lad to their hearts, and why not,  when his aim is to be a world class player for Newcastle United?

Sounds good to us – in fact it sounds very good to us.

Comments welcome.

This guy was like a breath of fresh air when he arrived.

The moment he set foot on the pitch, we all new we had something special.

Looking forward to seeing Hatem and Dan Gosling coming back soon. It’ll be like signing a pair of expensive players!

i’ll reserve my judgement till i see him performing week in week out…till then i just hope he’s a terrific signing for us and nothing more than that, certainly not a legend like a lot of fans and certain ED treats him but putting his picture on the banner when he played only 4 games for us and scored a wonder goal 🙂

Registering just to sing my praises for Hatem here.

His repeated statements on his ambitions for himself and this club is seriously touching.

If he means half of it he will be a legend. Can’t wait to see him play again.

There is no mid term whith Hatem. He will be a total failure or, indeed, a legend for Newcastle.

Surely a 1st post should only count if it has something to say in it, other than the word ‘1st’!
Can’t wait to see arfa terrifying defences. Hope he is the next ginola for us (sigh, those were the days)

He’s a talent, to be sure. Can’t wait to see him back on the pitch.

Anyone else see that AC Milan and Man U are considering bids for Enrique?
Pretty sure he said he doesn’t care who comes in for him, as he wants to play out his career at Newcastle. Good lad.

To me though we already have a few LEGENDS at our club now whereas I think i could name quite a few players that could easily become legends

But to me the following are already legends

I haven’t mentioned Carroll simply because of the shirt he wears on his back and in order to become a legend of that calibre he would have to consistently perform for a few more seasons at least and NEVER leave the club until retirement

Then there are the likes of Ben Arfa, Tiote, Ranger, Simpson and a whole lot of youngsters that could become legends and I have to say this is my favourite Newcastle squad since the days of Sir Bobby (Shearer, Speed, Solano etc)
