Good News – Ben Arfa’s Been Flying In Training

We had an article out yesterday on Hatem Ben Arfa, and he was quoted as saying the doctors had told him not to rush back from his double fracture of the left leg.

Ben Arfa – with Tiote after scoring at Everton – what a goal!

Now there is news almost to the contrary, that the player is already in fine fettle and things have gone extremely well, and this is news coming from his agent, Simon Stainrod.

The 23 year-old French international has been out injured with a double fracture of his leg since early October when a Nigel De Jong tackle was the cause of the terrible injury.

Since that time Newcastle have made Ben Arfa’s move to Tyneside permanent, by signing the Frenchman to a four and a half year deal earlier this month.

Simon Stainrod has said the Frenchman has been doing very well, as he told the Daily Star:

“I saw him last week and Hatem is absolutely flying,”

“He’s been away to Dubai for a bit of warm weather training and now he’s back in France and training really, really hard.”

“There are no miracles with an injury like his and he knows it is hard work that he needs to do, but he’s as fit as a fiddle.”

“He’s really got the bit between his teeth and is making good progress.”

“Mid-February might be a bit optimistic but the way he is going about his business at the moment, it’s not unrealistic or out of the question,”

It doesn’t seem to us that this is any new news really, since he had been expected to return to training in Newcastle early next month.

But his agent is saying that things have gone really well, and that Ben Arfa is probably already very  fit, and maybe he can surprise us all by playing earlier than expected.

But no risks should be taken with the player, as we have already seen what happens when a player plays too many game too early, when returning from a serious injury.

Dan Gosling’s previously injured knee swelled up, so it’s always wise to be cautious, when a player has been out for some time.

But this is obviously good news for Newcastle fans.

gr8 news Ed should rush a player of his quality tho. News on Ireland is Villa willing for him to go but stated they gotta pay his £65k a week wage like it or leave it.

i think were being fed this to put the fact we have made no signings yet to the back of the mind

he should not be played till he has had plenty of training with the squad if he is rushed back it could make things worse no matter how much fitter he is

i doubt we will see him starting before mid march and i do hope he doesn’t start until he’s fully ready and actually deserve a place in starting line up…

on a spat note Larrson is definitely staying at brum for the rest of the season so we’ve got only Ireland now

I would have drove him myself 🙂 but i dont mind him being the cover as long as he’s just a cover but the problem is he stops development of Ranger (though ranger 1st touch and finishing is terrible itself)….tbh shola hasn’t been bad this season but the thing is he has never done enough to justify the fact that he’s been here for 10 years now 🙁

no because if we sold ameobi then our strikers wud be carrol lovernkrands best and xisco people need to realise that ameobi does a job for us and at the moment we do actually need him

he worth mo than that. the thing is aint that bad is strolla we could sell him and get some flop from abroad eg. A.Luque for mega bucks and we would of been better off with strolla we should leave the selling till summer.

We can’t sell Ameobi espescially for a measley £1.5m. He is worth more than that & I think he is a decent PL squad player and backup to Carroll.

Mackems haven’t got the Bent money yet. Quinn explained, in an interview to an Irish journo, that Villa are paying it in installments and that the first installment was being used to pay off one of the mackem’s transfer buys. So you never know, Ashley might open his wallet and spend it on players, instead of wasting it in a casino.

this is great news but we need to be patient with him, hes top quality but its not as if were struggling without him take care of benny we want him at his best. Anybody else starting to get the feeling were not going to sign anybody 1st of all pardew said he wanted some1 in b4 the stevenage game then he said b4 west ham hes now saying b4 the end of the window i think hes begining to find out fat mike is not all hes cracked up to be if were after some1 why cant we just go get them instead of driving us all mad with speculation for weeks on end at no.11 who in their right mind would sell a premier league striker for 1.5million hes a half decent back up to carroll and u wont replace him for 1.5 thats for sure.

i also have the feeling that no1 will be coming thru the tyneside door but that day on monday we might get 2 or 3 as teams driving hard bargains just give up and balance the books.
