Carroll Resumes Training – Wants To Stay At Newcastle!

Andy Carroll wants to stay a Newcastle United player and isn’t keen at all on any move away from Newcastle.

Andy Carroll – wants to stay on Tyneside

And the great news for Newcastle fans, is that the striker has received the all-clear from a Swedish thigh specialist to resume training, and he will do that today on Tyneside.

We suppose he could be ready for the game at Fulham on Wednesday night, but that may be jumping the gun a little.

And Mike Ashley has again done the right thing and just turned down a £30M bid from Liverpool for the lad, and we have to hope there’s no way Mike will accept any offer for the local hero.

Carroll is back in Newcastle today, and a source close to the player told the Evening Chronicle today:

“He’s in Newcastle and he’s going to be at the training ground today.”

“That should tell you everything you need to know about whether he’s staying or going.”

“He’s tired of saying how much he wants to stay.”

That’s only one reason the local lad is a hero to Newcastle fans, because he only wants to play for his home town club – the famous Newcastle United – and we love players who want to do that.

And of course if Newcastle do accept the offer from Liverpool,  Andy could technically turn down the move down, even if he was offered £75K/week from Liverpool.

But he shouldn’t be put in that position and Mike Ashley can gain a few friends on Tyneside today by rejecting all bids for big Andy.

And of course Newcastle will renegotiate Andy’s current deal, once this all calms down a bit.

Comments welcome.

If I were Andy it would be so so easy to stay at NUFC. He’s living the dream and can’t wait to score some more goals for the Toon.

    He’s Newcastle’s No9 – England international

Playing in front of 52,000 screaming Geordies.

    Q. Why would he want to move away?
    A. Cash

Renegotiate his contract to a sensible wage for a £30million forward – problem solved.

Dublin Steve -Don’t think liverpool are on the decline mate. I think they have arrested the decline. Much as I hate to say it, think they will improve this season under KD by getting back to basics and bringing in some much needed additions in this window.

Mactoon – are you 8? Yeah, yeah we’d all love to play for the toon, but what has that got to do with it man? If the club take the decision to sell then that’s it, doesn’t matter about your shearer bleedin duvet cover. Get real.

Dublin Mag – why would he suddenly change his mind if a top 4 club came in for him, he’s said it there, he doesn’t want to play for any other team, so what makes you think he’d leave for a top 4 team??? wake the f****k up for f***s sake!!!

if one of the top 3 (or madrid, milan etc) come in for him, we might have a problem as they’d be able to dangle “immediate” glory in front of him.

Liverpool tho? hahahahahahaha….. laughable. for once we seem like the more stable club in all this… I honestly bet carroll took one look at those headlines and thought “what would be the point?”

Good man Andy – proving there’s more than money to all this.

If I was a pro I’d sign a contract for the whole of my career for the toon tomorrow. Then anybody could speculate as much as they want.

I wouldn’t take £100m for Big Andy, he’s 22 – over the next 10 years or so he is going to be much much more valuable than that to us. Bottom line, he gives us hope, that in my view is invaluable.

Actually, Boater, if the club decide to sell, Carroll has to agree terms with them. He’s not obliged to speak with any other club if he doesn’t want to.

    Clearly, he doesn’t want to.

I just hope to god that we noobody of any significance leaves we need our squad. I hope we have a suprise signing too but cannot see it. Ireland could be a good signing if his head is in the right place. I also we think we need someone pacy as apart from Jonas and Jose we are very flat footed. Pace is a neccesary component to any good side in the premier league. HTL

Players leave clubs reluctantly all the time, just as clubs accept transfer requests reluctantly. Beardsley didn’t want to go to liverpool from newcastle, neither did Gazza. Ferdinand didn’t want to go to spurs, but they understand that it’s a business and they have to act accordingly at times.

boater! Haha quite good that one mate. Just pointing out, i’m toon through and through, why would I want to play for anyone else? Number 9 is worth more than a paycheck to me..what difference does it make if you earn £40m over the course of your career or £20m? Wages wouldn’t mean shit and painting on a fake smile while lifting a trophy for a club I don’t give a shit about is ridiculous. Much rather lift one trophy for the toon than 100 for Manure, sorry but that’s just my opinion, so you can take your “sensible” crap and shove it.

By the way, I think (touching a lot of wood) that AC will still be here tomorrow.. my point is – relying on his blind faith as a toon lad as the sole reason for him to stay forever and ever, is nuts. We need to constantly be improving the the squad, so that the likes of AC, tiote, enrique want to be a part of something which is upwardly mobile. Not just ‘sticking’ as we’ve been spoon-fed all transfer window.

Just look at liverpool now – they failed to address the squad issues over the past 2 years and their star players are wanting out.

What we need to do to stop all this bullshit is tie down all of the players we have had offers for to long term deals!

This includes Enrique, Tiote and Barton! Until we do that we are gonna get all this crap every time a window comes round! Ours is still a team under development, and if anything we should be strengthening and not selling!

It looks as if Ireland is coming on loan/ (Rehabilitation) to us. Everyone says he,s talented, but he comes with a reputation as a troublemaker. Not gonna judge him till he,s played a few games for us.
Not pleased that van Aanhout has gone on loan to Leicester City! as i thought we were interested in him? and i still think van Wolfswinkel is worth following for the future!

Wait for a rush of last minute trans this evening before the window slams shut. Hopefully nothing involving any of our players though!

Jamma – so your point is what!?! You love the toooon so much you would want to stay forever and ever.. Ah that’s nice. I’m pleased. Thing is this forum isn’t about how much you or we love the toon. We’d all play for newcastle forever, cos we’re mags dreaming about playing for our beloved club. There are real life grown ups who also have a say in the matter though.

Shouldn’t you and Davies be in school today anyway!?

boater i beg to differ about liverpool if you think kd is gona turn them around your off your loaf he will lose out on tactics everytime, bangin your chest and saying how much the badge should mean will only get you so far their midfield is shit its wafer thin theyve no options i admit their trying to address the squad issues but that wont b easy with no champions league football on offer.

it’s unrealistic to think that every newcastle player will have the same loyalty as you jamma, even andy carroll for that matter. I’m newcastle through and through too, but if barca or milan came calling and told me they wanted to build the team around me, it would be pretty damn hard to say no! That’s not because i dont love newcastle, but because i have ambition to play for the best clubs in the world.

dublin mag – I hope you’re right. If they do get adam, ashley young (or n’zog) in today as expected. Another decent striker to play alongside Suarez they will line up a whole lot better.

They have looked a lot better in the past 3 games mate. 3 or 4 signings and they’re gonna be coming back into the top 7 easy.. like I say everyone else is adding at the moment. Sturridge to bolton n’all,, not that he’s what we need, another 1 in 6 striker like, but good player for that side.
