Shola Ameobi Now The Main Man For Newcastle

Yes, we know it’s not great, the way Newcastle lost one of their top players yesterday, and failed to bring in a replacement.

Shola Ameobi – huge opportunity for this local lad now

But the attention for tomorrow night’s game now turns to another local lad, 29 year-old  striker Shola Ameobi,

Shola now takes the main lead up front, and needs to step up to the plate to try to somehow replace the departed Andy Carroll, because when Shola’s in the right frame of mind – he can get the job done for Newcastle.

Yes, we know he’s been frustrating to Newcastle fans over his 10 years at the club, but his heart is at Newcastle, and he knows someone has to now come through for Newcastle up front,. if the team is to continue its relative success this season, so far.

Shola thinks the squad will be in a confident frame of mind at Craven Cottage tomorrow night:

“It’s hard to explain,”  “We go into every game obviously wanting to win and we have a mentality in the team that we want to stick together.”

“When you’re away from home, it’s a lot more difficult to break teams down but we’ve got that mentality to go out there and try to do that.”

Ameobi will in all likelihood  partner 24 year-old Leon Best at  Fulham, and we look to both of them to produce for Newcastle United tomorrow night, and also in all the 15 reamining games left this season.

And Nile Ranger and Peter Lovenkrands can also do a job for the club p front, and we really hope they can come through big time for the remainder of this season.

It seems that 4 more wins could make Newcastle safe this season in the Premier League, which must still be the number one target.

And then hopefully Alan will be given the some significant transfer funds in the summer to immensely improve the Newcastle squad for next season.

Alan has also told Shola to start enjoying his football again, and Shola continued:

“The manager says ‘go and express yourself’ and as a striker you always like to hear that. It gives you a licence to try stuff and really put the defence under pressure.”

Good words from both Shola and Alan, and there’s no doubt at all that a win tomorrow night is just exactly what the doctor ordered, and we’ll be right behind the lads and manager Padew tomorrow night.

Howay The Lads!!

Don’t worry, we will be buying Carlton Cole – Shola and Cole up front.

What a bright future we have.

Shola, Ranger, Best are our striker for the rest of the season so they will get my support.

Hope to god to be sining the ‘shola’ song tomorrow at the Craven Cottage.

Thank goodness…an article at last looking forwards; What’s done is done; I am feeling empty inside from what’s happened over the last 24 hours, but we need to sort our mindsets out…what’s done is done, we can pick over the bones, feel sorry for ourselves, blame one side, the other or the middle, but it just isn’t going to change one atom of the last 1,440 minutes of the pain which is being a Newcastle fan.

We need to get behind the team; they are still our team, whether it’s Amoeba up front, Best, Lovenkrands, Ranger or a training dummy. Let’s show the nation that we can rise above this disaster and still love our team…HWTL’s!

Shola aint the ‘main man’ at all.

I dont think any of strikers can say they are the main man…yet.

For me, despite that miss the other week, Ranger has more about him that Carroll has and with time and games, he could be far better.

Remember, Ranger is only 19 years old but he’s a big, powerful lad with far more pace than Carroll and certainly gives defences as much to worry about.

Two years ago, we didn’t brag about Carroll that much, so just give Ranger the support and playing time and I’m certain he can become way better than Carroll.

Shola is a good lad. I can’t stand the “supporters” who get on him. He is the most reliable striker we got so we need all the fans to get behind him now.

Also, Leon Best hasn’t done badly at all.
Wasn’t long ago we were all raving about his 3 against West Ham, all three very well taken goals on his weaker foot.

He’s a decent finisher and as I keep saying, strikers only put the ball in the net with frequency when the midfielders provide the service.

Barton and Ireland have that quality in abundance, let alone HBA.

I agree Edd, Ranger will come good; he’ll learn from ‘that miss’; he’s just got to build up that confidence in himself.

Now I haven’t written here for a while, but I cant hold my breath any longer.

There are fans thinking this and that abouth the transfer of AC, and who to be blamed. Well we all know that the board/FMA hasen’t been all honest at times so do not belive all you hear from their part.

Now what you all must think abouth is this: For AC to come out and say to the press the day after signing for his new club, that he didn’t want to leave Newcastle and was forced out – that takes some courage! Do any of you really think he would come out and say these things if they were in fact not true?! Imagine what this does to his image in Liverpool! This guy clearly loves Newcastle, and was forced out – not a single doubt in my mind!!!

Yes sure he could reject the offer from pools, but where would it really leave him…. He would be stuck at a club with manager and board hating him, and he would find his future difficult to say the least!

ED – so have the decency to put shola on the banner if he’s the ‘main man’. 10 years and by a country mile our current leading goalscorer.

With all respect Arfa’s played 3 games. Credit the lad at last.

Yeah Ranger’s the future. Until he starts scoring, asks for a competitive salary and is sold the next day.

no matter what people say shola is loyal other clubs would have him birmingham is proof people need to support him now rather than give him stick cos we need him to get the goals to keep us up i bet the majortiy of you were praising him when at the begining of last season he was scoring goals for fun for us he cant help that he gets injured

im gonna get stick for this but i think a lot of you are a disgrace and should support any player who is wearing the black and white

k-man, exactly. Liverpool supporters want to think that Carroll would be itching to play for their club and not dreading the fact he was pushed out of Newcastle.

It takes a lot of strength from Andy to come out and say what he said.

geordiedownsouth: I’m sure he wasn’t “PUSED” whatever that is. Also once it’s plain that your boss & the owners don’t want you then the best thing is to go. Especially if someone’s going to double your wages. BTW the club could have said no if they had really wanted to. Also I’d rather believe a fellow Geordie than a bunch of cockney tw*ts
