Newcastle Interested In Fulham’s Gera – Not Likely

Even though Newcastle have some decent cash to spend this summer, we  expect them still to pick up some bargain deals in the free transfer market.

Zoltan Gera – free agent in summer

One of the players that may interest Newcastle is Fulham midfielder Zoltan Gera, who seems not to be rated by new Fulham manager Mark Hughes, and Gera’s contract runs out in the summer.

The Hungarian International wants to play more games, and that’s always a good sign, but whether Zoltan is good enough for Newcastle is an open question.

Fulham will talk to him about a new contract, but it is likely that he will want to move on from Craven Cottage this summer.

But Gera turns 32 in April, so he hardly fits the profile of younger players Newcastle will be looking for, and couple that with the fact he’s an average to good player at best, we don’t think Newcastle will be too interested.

The news is that Newcastle and Stoke both made late inquiries for the player on Monday, but that news may not be factual. Yes we know, that would be very unusual.

The player signed on at WBA in 2004 from Hungarian club, Ferencvarosi, and joined Fulham on a free transfer in the summer of 2008.

The 6′ tall attacking midfielder, who can also play on either wing, has played 68 times for Hungary, and 111 times for Fulham with 17 goals.

Zoltan is a decent player, but we doubt Newcastle will be too interested.

Comments welcome.

No more midfielders please. We already have a lot of them, good ones and promising ones so lets spend were we need it the most. Strikers and Fullbacks.

That’s it – as far as I am concerned NUFC no longer exists. They may as well rename it Cockney Wankers United. It’s run by Londoners from London, for the benefit of the FCBs’ wallet. Now they’re slagging off Shearer for saying what everyone else in football is saying. They are reviled in every boardroom in the country, the FCB and his pathetic lap dog, for lowering standards, and some of you wonder why we can’t attract players. Get it through your heads, the reputation of the club stinks throughout the football world because of these arseholes. Pardews’ body language and his ‘vulnerable’ comment said it all yesterday – he knows the morale in the dressing room after Monday, now makes it very likely we’ll slide towards relegation. Prepare for a catastrophic performance and result at Fulham, with TV pictures of the fat slovenly owner with his latest tart, and hais gormless evil little lap dog. I hope they go bloody bankrupt. NUFC – RIP.

NUFC RIP. As far as I am concerned it no longer exists, rename it Cockney Wankers United. Run from London by Londoners for the benefit of the FCB to fund his tarts and gambling habit, aided and abetted by the evil little lapdog, who is now slagging off a true legend for saying what everybody else in football is saying. This club is now the most reviled club in the game because of these two. Redknapp openly laughs at them on TV, Whelan tells them to f_ck off on Monday night, and their response is to slag off Shearer. Pardews’ body language and ‘vulnerable’ comment yesterday told us all we need to know about current dressing room morale after the events of Monday, and our chances of staying in this league greatly reduced. Prepare for a catastrophic performance and result at Fulham. Joey, Jose, Cheik, tell them to stuff their club up thier arse! I hope the bastard goes bankrupt, and he’s so crap at gambling, he probably will.

    Outs:

    Mike Ashley
    Derek Llambias
    Alan Pardew

    In:

Someone who will take the club forward and put the money in.

A manager and a chairman who are not just puppets.

The sooner the better as these monkeys make my blood boil. Bobby will be turning in his grave yet again.!!!
