It Could Be French Striker Newcastle Bring In

It was a big discussion on this site yesterday, and it seems that Alan Pardew is officially interested in French free agent striker Jeremie Aliadiere.

Jeremie Aliadiere – brought in on loan?

Jeremie started his career at Arsenal, and then moved to Middlesbrough in 2007, and he’s a talented player, but for whatever reason has always found it hard to put the ball in the back of the net, but he is an experienced player, and still only 27 years old.

He played around 29 times for Arsenal with one goal, and played 78 times for Middlesbrough with 11 goals, but his presence at Newcastle will not only be to put the ball into the back of the net.

With his experience, he can also create chances for other players – like Peter Lovenkrands and Kevin Nolan for example, who have showed  they can put that ball into the net.

It was mentioned that Pardew and Aliadiere hadn’t seen eye to eye when they were at West Ham (2005-2006) together.

But it seems to us that Alan Pardew doesn’t seem to bear grudges, and he’s mature enough to put that in the past, which is what it is, and if  Newcastle do go after Jeremie, we hope the Frenchman can do that too.

We would expect to hear something quite soon about who Newcastle will be bringing in – and they could even bring two strikers in.

Then hope one of them can get the job done for the rest of the season, and Newcastle will have to make it profitable enough for the loan player(s), because the Tyneside club have put themselves into a difficult position.

Comments welcome.

I know no of us are excited about this, but we are where we are.

Get the lad in, short term only, and let’s see what he can do.

Utterly embarrassing, yet another calamitous decision by the board leaves the club a laughing stock, scouring for players who aren’t good enough for this decision/
What an absolute farce. Instead of strengthening or Strike Fore which we needed to do anyway, we lost our best striker and now we have noone.

Perhaps the sale of routledge doesn’t look so odd now, no need for wingers with no Striker.

Remeber Sibierski! Some players just need a change and a chance.

….if he comes in he deserves a chance. I remember he used to destory teams in the carling cup for arsenal then went to boro and was awful.

But yeh i remeber him as awful to be honest.

    Angryman –

If that was the case why did we turn down a £16m offer for Enrique from Milan then? Alsdo the £13m offer from Tottenham?

Are some of our reserves not ready for a chance, I’ve heard Airey likes to bang em in, bringing in someone else who doesn’t score often isn’t exactly going to help!

In fact, the only thing you can say for definite about NUFC targets right now is that no-one has the definitive insider’s ear in this club.

So journalists are almost the same as posters on here; merely speculating! We’ll get 10 names thrown at us over the next few days.

What really hurts me the most at this time is that within 2 months, the club has managed to mess up its good PR that it had built up over the last 18 months since relegation…Ahhh well! 🙁

Besides, when we do sell it will be August the 31st at approx 2pm and Tiote / Enrique will hand in transfer requests.
The precidence has been set by the club and the players now!!

Stop calling us a feeder club, just becuse we sold a player for a record fee! I´m as saad as most are he left, but mostly because I saw him as our next big striker, next shearer, and looked forward to that.

If you read any other neutral comments about him leaving, everyone thinks he is a good player, but the price is way to high! Depends on how we replace him in the summer, but hopfully we can replace him with two realy good strikers, and that would be better than just the one Carroll!

Aliadiere is someone I always thought was quite poor, but, if he comes I´m sure he can be of value in the short run!

Marveaux I have looked at before. Not the greatest I have ever seen, but sure has a great left foot and quite qick. Two things we realy could need! Also, not bad getting french player in to make Ben Arfa happier, the two of them could realy cause trubbel on the wings!

What gets to me more than anything is the fact that Fat Ashley keep saying that he’s trying to balance the books and keep the club financially sound, but surely he must realise that a successfull clubs books would be more financially stable than a club, who don’t trust the owner and are dissilusioned to the stage wher it might cost the club, by people staying away and refusing to by merchandise in protest.

@nufc90 A player has to be a free agent BEFORE the window shuts, players who free themselves after are not eligible to play till summer. Stupid rule.

If we get relegated I doubt we’d get much of the 35m as it would need to be used to cover the loss of tv money and that.

I still don’t think we’re going to get relegated though, I think everyones forgetting AC hasnt played the last 5 games and we’ve only lost 1 of them.

The owner should have all 35 million in dirty fivers strapped to his back and made to do 40 laps of SJP before tomorrow’s match.

There is no way in hell we would get Hulk. He’s being scouted by the biggest clubs in the world and I think hes already on higher wages at Porto than our wage cap.

Would be one hell of a replacement for Judas but I highly doubt it like.

This news just adds to the traumatic week we have had.
Aliadiere is pants, he couldn’t do it for the smoggies so what chance do we have with the guy. Pardew is no magician, after Bests hatrick against the hammers he might think he is.
    I am depresed!
This new of Hulk was featured on Caught off Side. Com. BullS**t. That site is full of it.
Not a chance we will get the guy, might see him at Man U or Man City if a spanish club don’t get him 1st.
Can I also mention how bad we wor the other night. If Nolan and Barton dont bother nee one else does (sorry, Enrquie did, but was the only one, shame he ar*ed up with Duff)

If we manage to stay in PL, which I think, it is better to get a class striker like Hulk in the summer rather than paying ridiculous money for an average striker on the last day.
Even if I really don’t see Hulk comin to toon as Portos price tag on the player is 85million.
What do you all think of Anderlechts Romelu Lukaku? similar to AC only faster and better technic, and he is 17!!!
