Nice to see Bruce backing us. He’s come out today and said that his squad lacks courage.

Is it me or do we look a better team under Pardew than Hughton. We look a lot more organised and harder to beat now so maybe that ruthless decisions to replace Hughton by Ashley is looking to be the correct decision.

I watched tonights game with relative placidity, away from home, that’s definitely new! 😀 So much poise about our game now, an actual plan! I have so much gratitude for what Hoots did, but believe we had been marching on solely through team-spirit. Now we have a formula, the team looks well-knit, the defence looks robust and unified. Cheick is a revalation, can’t remember being thrilled by watching a defensive midfielder before, he just swats off the opposition and makes things look easy. Roll on Bolton!!

from the money i would get Ireland N’Zogbia A quality striker Van Wolfswinkel possibly a left back and a quality centre back
then maybe Larsson and Elmander on frees yes please
    so this see
    Ireland worth about £8m
N’Zogbia worth about £12m but Wigan want more i would spend 15m at max
    Ricky Van Wolfswinkel Probably £12m
    Then Larsson and Elmander free
that would be £32m and im sure there are pretty good left back (as cover) would be cheap and a centre back but who the F uck I am

Pretty much agree with everything there although I wouldn’t want Elmander as I think he would want inflated wages as he’ll be on a bosman.

I would also get Sylvain Marveaux on a free and spend £8 – £10m on a quality young striker like Connor Wickham or Daniel Sturridge. Wickham got a hat-trick today and looks like a great talent.

You can take Zog and shove him. Why would you want to buy that prick? We don’t need players who didn’t want to play for us and who have bad attitude, specially if they are going to come for more then what we got for them.

It is the same if you say – I want Carroll back, for 45M. Why?

    Crawfordladd17 // Feb 15, 2011 at 11:15 PM

Crawfordladd – Optimistic predictions. I’d take them if they were offered now.

With regards to N’Zogbia; he is a brilliant talent and would work well down our left flank, however, I wouldn’t have him back in the black and white if he was the last left winger in the world. His attitude is appalling and for a team whose togetherness and spirit have got them through on the occasions where all else has failed, he’d be like a cancer. It’s going to be hard enough to keep the likes of Ben Arfa happy without that little gobsh1te coming and p1ssing everyone of AGAIN. Frankly, we don’t need him.

Oleg – I’d have Carroll back any day. When the dust settles, I think a lot of fans would. We’ll give liverpool £10m for him an a year or two, when they can’t get goals out of him.
