Newcastle Reported To Be Interested In Daniel Sturridge

Newcastle will be reported to be after almost every player who is up for sale this summer, and most players who are not up for sale too, so we all have to be aware of that.

Daniel Sturridge – 21 year-old Chelsea striker

With that in mind there is news today that Alan Pardew will be pursuing Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge in the summer, and Daniel is currently on loan at Bolton.

6’1″ tall Sturridge is just 21 years old, and started his youth career at Aston Villa and Coventry before moving to Manchester City in 2006, and then he moved to Chelsea in 2009.

Man City and Chelsea were unable to agree a fee for the player, and a tribunal decided there would be an initial fee of £3.5M,  with additional payments of £500K after each of 10, 20, 30 and 40 first-team competitive appearances.

Daniel’s  played 41 times for Chelsea with 9 goals and so Chelsea have paid £5.5M for him, and he would cost more than that if he was sold to Newcastle, but of course he’s looked a top players with 3 goals in 3 games for Bolton.

He’s also the biggest Bolton threat to Newcastle,  a week today at St. James’ Park.

With Fernando Torres now at Chelsea, it could be that the London club would be willing to sell the youngster and he would be a decent replacement for Andy Carroll and is 9 months younger than Andy.

But Sturridge already has 76 first class appearances with 18 goals, and he looks a very good player with an eye for goal.

Maybe £10M would be enough to buy the player, but of course Carroll’s amazing £35M fee, would probably raise the price for Sturridge significantly, especially if Newcastle are the bidders.

Daniel has played for every England Youth side from U16, and has played 10 times for the England U21 side with a couple of goals, and we think he would be a terrific acquisition for Newcastle.

And news today in the Daily Mail that Newcastle are to give a trial to 17-year-old French striker Alister Tangane next month.

Alister plays for regional club Bretigny-sur-Orge, and the news follows Newcastle scouts watching the player turn in some good performances for his club, which is located just outside Paris.

Should be us to loan Sturridge on january. He has potential and I rate him highly. If he move to us and show some good form, he can knock the door for international career.

However I don’t know about his attitude but I confident our team can coup well.

    Tal_nufc4eva;

Are you serious? He won’t be a £1.5m signing. Chelsea paid £7m for him. He’s one of the best young strikers around. I’ve been saying for a long time we should sign him. We should have got him on loan even before we sold Carroll, if he’d been with us on loan playing in front of 52,000 he could have been persuaded to sign permanently.

On the Enrique situation, Pardew has said “We’re going to try and compete to keep Jose but the reality is that it’s going to be difficult.”

10 million i wouldnt pay for him, but if it was asround7 i would do. Chelsea didnt buy him for 7 mill they bought him for 3.

We should sign Abel Hernandez from Palermo would cost alot but would be our best striker by some distance

A players asking prize does not increase just because the buyer has money. That has not logic what so ever; Sturridge is available because he’s surplus to requirement. And since Chelsea will not be using him regularly he’s asking prize should not be much more than they payed for him. £ 12 mil is laughable.

    MarkO ;

Chelsea paid an initial £3.5m for him with more payments based upon appearances. Read the article, they have already paid £5.5m for him and that fee could still rise.

Gervinho would be the best signing we could make this summer but Sturridge would be good too.

A year ago I would of traded Carroll for Sturridge in a heart beat. I doubt Chelsea will let him go but anything under 10 million I would consider a good purchase.

McEachran should be looked at aswell with Shaqiri from Basel.

McEachran is the future of chelsea in the cm position if thats who you are talking about not sure how his name is spelt but i think you mean him. If so there is no way in a million years that lad will be leaving chelsea nearly as bad a s people saying we should bid for Adam Johnson from City it was rediculous.

If anyone, we should be looking to bring in Felipe Caicedo from City. Far down the pecking order but has loads of potential and could blossom with the toon! Has slammed them in for Levante this year and rumours has it that he could go quite cheap. Caicedo for 3 mill would be an absolute steal!

Somone mentioned felipe calceido. I then saw a highlight real on him yesterday. Amazing potential. I liked him at city but he looks to have developed into a new drogba. 9 goals in 11 or something.

Also heard we are signing johnson , the injured alchy one, and jo

Would prefer Whickham if honest. But sturridge is a very good prospect, I don’t think Chelski will sell, if they replace The Drog they may consider another loan at best.

Highly rated and we should try to sign him if Chelsea is listenint to offers. Would still prefer Gervinhio as signing him means we have a more settled Tiote. :O

about caicedo i see a story saying levante were going to sign him for a million after the loan then sell to the highest bidder to help their finances. he’s done the business so far for a poor team in the top division of spain i think he could be worth a punt. has decent attributes just needs game time

The only thing Ed does is post EVERY rumour that is written by ANY ONE, regardless of the credibility of the source. Indeed he knows that what he’s writing is bollocks, but then gives credence to it by analyzing the players attributes. It’s pathetic. Oh….but what is the next post going to be?….oh same again Ed? You must be very bored at home

Hilarious… Chelsea won’t entertain the idea of selling Sturridge, they were even reluctant to loan him out.

In the event of him being sold, which will definitely not happen this summer, he will not be going for under £15m..

It might not work out for him at Chelsea depending on the manager but he’ll go on to be recognised as England’s best striker & a top European Striker.

He’s scored in all 7 games he has played more than 15mins in this season.

He has scored a goal every 93 mins this season.

Only player to score in the FAYouth Cup, The FA Cup & the EPL in the same season.

Sturridge was supposed to be given his chance for us last season in the F.A Cup, well every game he started for us, he scored in the FA youth Cup.

Sturridge is golddust.. It’s not like Chelsea don’t realise it, Drogba Anelka & Malouda are all facing the axe.. I dunno why you didn’t get him in January 0_o
