Every Newcastle Player Is Under Scrutiny

There will be no slacking off by any Newcastle player through the run-in to this season.

Alan Pardew – every Newcastle player us under scrutiny

If there is and it’s noticed by manager Alan Pardew, then that player will have jeopardized his future at the Newcastle United club.

As we noted yesterday there will some players leaving the club in the summer and of course others coming in, and it seems that Pardew will have plenty of money to spend from the £35M gained from the Andy Carroll transfer in January.

Mike Ashley has assured Alan that the £35M will be reinvested into the club, and we assume a sizable amount of that will be for transfer fees for players coming into the club.

Certainly over the summer months, there should be lots of action at Newcastle, once the transfer window starts to heat up, and it will be players leaving as well as coming in.

Alan Pardew said today that every single player was under scrutiny on Tyneside:

“Every player is under scrutiny. It’s well documented we’ve got finances to improve the squad. So if I was a player here, I’d be making sure I was playing well to do my best to stay in the team next season.”

“You can’t afford to take your foot off the pedal in this division because you’ll get embarrassed,” “Manchester United went to Wolves, took their foot off the gas and got beat.”

“We can’t afford to do that. We’re aware we’ve still got a job to do until the very end.”

With Newcastle’s spirit and professionalism in the squad, we would be surprised if there was any noticeable slacking off of the commitment.

After all, every single position we move up the league table is important, as players Newcastle target this summer will be looking at where Newcastle end up at the end of the season.

And if  Newcastle can finish in the top eight, that would definitely help our transfer business over the summer.

Good move by Pardew but the problem is how many players part from the younger lads actually want to stay here next season. Only the summer will tell.
You keep mentioning about how much of the £35mill. will go on players Ed however when Ashley came he said his intention was to inject £20mill into the club each season. Why can’t that figure be used for the new wages and improved contracts so leaving as much of the £35 mill. as possible for new purchases?
And that’s apart from outgoing sales.
I think we all know that’s not going to happen.

So in other words, no one is safe & everyone is up for sale if they don’t pull their weight for the rest of the season!!!

All very well, but it works both ways. With season tickets up for renewal Pardew, Ashley and Llambias are under equal scrutiny by the fans as to their decisions / actions.

Solaidback – that seems to be about right.
    And if they go down?
Do they ALL get shipped out for not “pulling their weight?”

I’m a bit sick of reading all this positive PR stuff about the team moving in the right direction, being prepared and blah, blah.

It seems the more AP and the players talk the poorer they play when the game comes around.
