Nightclub Photos Only Make The Newcastle Situation Worse

To make things even worse than they already are today, Alan Pardew was asked about some night club visits by his players on Friday evening.

This is the photo on the Tup Tup Palace Facebook page

Leon Best, who missed the game through injury, and Stephen Ireland, who will not play one minute for Newcastle in either February or March since joining on loan, and youngster Stephen Folan, were shown displaying their torsos in the Tup Tup Palace.

The photo shown above was on the Tup Tup Palace Facebook page, which alerted Newcastle fans to the situation.

Neither of the two first team players traveled to Stoke, where Newcastle were hammered 4-0.

While there’s nothing particularly wrong, but of course professional players have a responsibility not to be seen in places like night-clubs, and the like, because the fans will just get the wrong idea.

They were drunk and all over the place – is the things that are said when these things are reported,  and they are very rarely true, and the three of them look quite sober in the photograph above.

Alan Pardew had this to say when told about the photos after the game:

‘This is a situation I will have to look at on Monday. Certainly, it is not ideal on the eve of a match, even if you are not playing.’

“Best tried to train yesterday but was no good, and he had an injection in his ankle and he’ll be OK, we think, for Wolves.”

We don’t think it’s too bad the players were caught like they were, but it was poor jusgement.

And it’s even worse with a story like this when Newcastle have won only one game of their last 10, and relegation could again threaten Newcastle.

This story is like a red flag to a bull, and that’s how most of the Newcastle will see it.

Comments welcome.

Leon Best and Stephen Ireland did not cost us a 4-0 beating at stoke city. Rather poor tactics and stupid player choice by an incompetent Pardew on the day cost us dearly. Deflecting attention to this matter is not convincing.

If the players want to let off steam on a Friday night (the best night to celebrate) to take the pressure off a relegation fight, then thats fine by me. Two goals in a game would be nice mind.

I’ve been off work injured and still gone out for a beer or two. I don’t see any problem with it. I would if they weren’t injured and playing the next day.

Ed, please please please put some positive posts up. The doom merchants are out in force and we need a lift. I implore you to write one positive piece today. Not transfer rumours, not take over bids but something like “it could be worse we could be boro” or “Reasons not to panic we still have 8 games five of which are against teams below us” we really need some positive writing from you today mate.

Now that the new broom effect of Mr Pardew has worn off, we are beginning to see the real calibre of the manager. Does anybody really fancy him as our manager from the start of the season?

One question we asked at the backend of last year….. why did we replace CH with Pardew?

A question I have now, why did we replace CH with Pardew?

Nothing about doom n gloom, we were terrible yesterday, we have a depleted squad after Jan transfers and injuries, who’s fault is that? Not the fans!

Feel free to sign up for 10 more years of this at a discount price!

I can guarentee one thing, we’re gonna have 2 weeks of verbal rubbish coming from the club err Pardew and cetain players! Great.

It doesn’t look good on us but I also believe that if they are not playing it can’t harm us much. Although I understand the club’s view and if Best has an ankle injury it can only get worse if he goes out and maybe dances or trips himself. He could save Newcastle the drop with his goals and so can Ireland so further injury would really hinder our chances. We need them both back and pronto after the crap we had to endure from the team yesterday. Dan Gosling and Ben Arfa can’t come back soon enough either, we desperately need more class in the team.

On a positive note I think Shane Ferguson played really well for us and looks a fantastic player. Against Stoke it was his longest appearance for the first team and what a display from the youngster. How he got past players with his skill and he even nut-megged a Stoke player and had two shots on target.

CH is free at the moment – can you imagine the boost of him riding to our rescue, rallying the troops and saving the day!
mind you, Glen Roeder did something similar and he doesn’t appear too busy at the moment.
then again, if we got both of them…………..

Stephen, Stephen and Leon. You are under house arrest, you are not allowed to act on your own free will. You must stay at home twiddling your thumbs, sitting on your large disposable incomes. It is totally beyond question, that you should ever enjoy yourselves. You cannot behave like the huge majority of young guys, who have no responsibilities the following day…

    Get a grip people.

Bye the way, I’ve just heard that a lybian zillionaire (gadaffi or something) has heard that owning NUFC is an ideal place to hide without needing to talk to people or show your face for a few years, and having been assured he will definately be more popular than the current owner has put in a bid to buy – sounds promising!

Non event, they went on the lash no match for a fortnight sure they will get over the hangover by this evening let alone the 2nd of next month.
Tried too hard yesterday to fight the long ball which led to a overly defensive team, Campbell should be put up on bricks and sent a bus card.

Side note, Carroll vs mackems i personally hope he fails big time and would want the scouse to loose but that would require a mackem win so cant do that, just hoping both entire squads somehow get injured

Well, I think a player of that status (of NUFC) should not be out drinking. They are athletes who need to show respect to their bodies and mind, and be a figure to follow for the young boys (and girls as well).

Don’t think it is appropriate to take your shirt off in public specially when you are a public figure, it sends all the wrong messages. I don’t know the British culture but I am sure that is not a must, so they should keep it decent and keep their underwear in their pants (specially when it is a pink one – WTF?! he took a pair from his girlfriends drawer?)

And in general. When the team is not in a good form, there should not be any celebration. period. None.

Get off some steam? What steam? Ireland didn’t play for a second, this other boy there, what steam he suppose to have? And Best, well, if he is injured, should stay out of these kind of places.

That is my opinion at least, I see that some of the people here think differently.

    Completely agree with you MacToon.

CH managed 19 points from 16 games, and left us in 8th position, if that record continued he would have got 45 points.

AP has managed 17 points from 14 games and is supposedly more experienced then CH, that was the reason CH was replaced after all. If this record continues we’ll end up on 46 points come the end of the season. AP has also only managed 4 wins from 14 games and we’ve played alot of teams in those 14 games that are in or around us.

So is sacking CH for AP really worth that 1 extra point and can you honestly see us even finishing on 46 points? I cant.

CH had a big problem – he was not a ‘yes-man’, he might even have thought that selling Andy Carroll was not a good idea – he just had to go.

Actually Ed, you’ll find it’s articles like this that make the situation worse. Yes, they went out for a drink. Neither are fit to play and please keep in mind that it isn’t a case of ‘if you can walk, you can play’ – I have a broken toe right now, I can walk on it, I can have a few drinks but I wouldn’t dream of kicking a ball or running on it.

The lads went out to let off some steam, they look fairly sober and yes, they might look like tools but I highly doubt all three of them decided to get their abs out for the sake of it, pretty sure they were asked and being young lads they thought “Why not?”.

Everybody is entitled to a drink (no, Gazza, this doesn’t include you) every now and then. Live and let live.

OMFG – what the frak is wrong with some of you…. they’re not allowed to go out… they’re not allowed to show off their bodies…. oooohhhh…. you sound like a rate faggot complaining & whinging…. so frakin what if they have a couple of drinks when they’re not playing due to injury, yeah they were in a club but I don’t remember seeing any pixs of them dancing, do you???

If you want to moan at anyone, moan at the fraking players who went to Stoke but didn’t bother to turn up & play, players like Campbell, Lover, Strola, Colo, Harps…. its unbelievable that the best player on the day was a raw 19yr old LB who only got a game due to injuries & all you can complain about is some pixs of our players flashing their bodies in public…. get a frakin life!!!!

As for who’s fault it is that we lost 4-0… well thats easy… those so called multi-millionaires we go to see week in, week out on the pitch… yes Pardew may have chosen the tactics but its the 11 guys on the pitch that have to put them in to practice once the whistle goes…. imo!!!!
