Kevin Nolan – We Can Build From Here

Kevin Nolan knows that Newcastle need to start winning games, and sooner rather than later.

Kevin Nolan – a great shot of the Newcastle captain

Newcastle  play 3rd bottom of the table Wolves today,  and you have to think a win is at least probable today at St. James’ Park, but of course you never can tell this season, in the Premier League.

It seems that on any one day, any team can beat any other side, and as I write this, West Ham are already 2-0 up at home to the Red Devils after 25 minutes, in the early kick-off game, with two penalties.

Mark Noble has scored both penalties for the Hammers.

This what Kevin told the local Newcastle press today:

“We’ve got to make sure, as a group, we stick together.” “We can always lean on each other, and that’s a massive plus for us.”

“It’s been key for us this season and last, and these are the times you’ve got to stick together and look forward.” “We’ve had to make sure we haven’t got carried away and start that backbiting, if you like.”

“We’ve always managed to keep that out, and I’m positive, with the squad we’ve got, we’ve got enough, and we can build from there, really.”

“We know the next game’s the most important one. But it’s not all about one game.: “We’ve got to look forward, and get it absolutely right.” “That just comes every week. You’ve got to make sure you keep a level head.”

With Leon Best out today, Newcastle may need Kevin to bang in a few  goals, and of course Nolan is currently the Newcastle top goal scorer with 11 goals.

When push comes to shove, and in a match that really matters, then Kevin usually comes up with an important goal – so we hope the Liverpudlian can do just that this afternoon.

Newcatsle will need to find some goals from somehow if the lads are to take all 3 points today.

Comments welcome.

we must avoid defeat today at all costs…..a win would be great, but a draw wouldn’t be the end of the world..

Stone wall pens yeah I agree. Disagree vidic should of been sent off, wasent a goal scoring oppertunity. But, as I said, on the field man u are better. Valencia is destroying Bridge. Get Chicorita (read a stat on him and hes scored 10 goals from 14 shots….AMAZING talent) on with Rooney (purely cos fergy wont take him off regardless of what he does) and west ham can be beaten..

Ranger wont start unless we get more injuries. Am still thinking a win with decent goal difference, 2-0 or 3-1 I think

That “something different” might be to leave a striker on the bench and go with a five man midfield with Jonas roaming in a free role, Ferguson on the left (assuming Jose’s fit) JB on the right. Then either Shirley or Ranger to start as a target man.

If the forwards cant score then give the midfield more opportunity as Jonas, Joey and Nolan have goals in them 🙂

There’s no way West Ham will go down with the form they’re on. Won 7 out of 9 home matches!

So having said that, come on Hammers! Though I’m not sure why Parker turned superhuman when he joined West Ham, instead of taking opportunities at Chelski and us.

And WOW Shrek just scored a screamer of a free kick!
