Ben Arfa Back For Liverpool Game

It is looking more and more likely that Alan Pardew will have Ben Arfa playing for Newcastle United, before the end of the season.

Ben Arfa – could return at Liverpool 3 weeks come Sunday

And if you believe reports in the local Newcastle press today, it seems that Pardew is looking at the game at Anfield, on May Day – the 1st May.

That Sunday game will be televised live around the world, and it’s a great chance for Newcastle to get the league double over Liverpool in their first season back in the big time.

Ben Arfa has returned to Newcastle this week, and is in training with the lads, but he is not with the squad during their training where contact occurs – not yet anyway.

And there was more good news today that Jose Enrique should have recovered from his long-standing hamstring injury, and should be fit to return after missing Newcastle’s 4-1 trouncing of Wolves last Saturday.

It will be terrific if Ben Arfa can return at Liverpool, because then there are four game left, including the Anfield game.

There’s a couple of goals Ben Arfa could score for Newcastle, before the end of the season, right there. 😀

It will be fantastic to welcome Ben Arfa back to St. James’ Park too,  after his very difficult time recovering from the  double leg break.

Comments welcome.

Out last night in town, said hello to Nolan, Smith and Gosling. Didn’t see the funky chicken, but Gosling was moving pretty well on his knee. Happy days.

20 minutes at the very most. We can’t risk this kid getting injured.

Dont think he should be rushed back for liverpool, there hardly the biggest treat these days. I think if we can keep all our best players and add 3 new defenders and 2 strikers we would be near 6th next year no bother. cant wait to see ben back

Would be great if he could come back this season, but he only really started back training a couple of days ago. We all seen how long it took players like Sol Campbell to even just get match fit never mind get fit and back to full strength after a double leg break (with complications)

Benny would be better kept for the summer and he will be for sure our main man next season!!!

    Team thoughts for this weekend?

AP would be an idiot to play him this season , so expect him back for the liverpool game.

there is no point playing BFA, by then we’re prob be safe and we should be preparing him for the new season and not try to throw him into the deep end, that said, AP does have a tendency to ‘beg players to play’
