I am not angry at him if he wants to move because he’s given a lot for us but the least he can do is play well for the remainder of this season.

I have no qualms whatsoever if he does leave. Two things though:

    1. He must continue to play well. He wasn’t so good yesterday but he did have a week out plus everyone is allowed a poor performance now and again (although, to be fair, he played alright just poor by his standards).

    2. It would be good, if it is indeed true that the deal is done, to make it known to the fans as soon as possible. There would be nothing more damaging to his reputation at this club if he kept it from us for a too long a period of time. I’d see no problem at all in him informing us that he is moving at the end of the season.

On the assumption that this story is true, thanks for the commitment to the club, Jose. Excellent professional and an adopted Geordie for sure.

Like everyone he wants to perform at the highest level but as everyone else is saying Liverpool ! They may not even be in Europe next year. Its all well and good moving to a so called bigger club however it does not guarantee international recognition – just look at Pepe Reina who is a far better goalkeeper than Casillas, but who is the spanish number 1. I for one will always think fondly of the Bull as he did stand by us. Maybe he has no faith in our owners producing the goods?.
    Keep the faith

There going to have half the team that got us relegated… if he wants to go then f*+k him we only need players who feel passionate to play for our club, such as Ben Arfa.

Bye Enrique you are already the past we have FERGUSON 😉

if jose has already agreed in principle a big transfer fee, then his heart has fallen out of the club so he must go, remember though jose it is not always brighter over the fence, remember shay and habib and owen none of whom can get a game, you did not go when we got relegated cos no one would match your wages as you had been pants up until then that is the only reason you stayed, show me i am wrong and sign a new contract if offered that to me would show real loyalty.

i am upset at hearing the news, would be good to hear something from our club or jose himself, if he has gone then so be it. He has given his all for our club, and you could tell everytime he played for us (apart from 1st season) that has enjoyed every moment, one of the biggest parts of his career, scoring his first ever goal, was with us so he will always have fond memories. Good Luck Jose if you have gone, but still the big question…. Liverpool? if anything please go to Milan!

The “as far as I know” part of that interview says it hasn’t happened yet, but it’s clearly being discussed. Ifu8king hate Liverpool. Filthy pikey bin dipping scumbags (not necessarily all Liverpudlians, despite what my personal experience tells me). If Jose goes, I sincerely hope it’s not to them.

No point risking an injury and losing a big fee and we’d be better off letting Ferguson play and adjust to PL football.

So Liverpool agreed a deal ages ago? Didn’t Chelsea get in trouble for agreeing a deal mid season (again for a left back) a few seasons ago? If it’s true go on and get the litigation started, hopefully Liverpool getting sued will convince Phil Thompson and all the other gobs***es to stop unsettling players with rumours to further their pundit careers

This has to be “tapping up” unless ofcourse Ashley has initiated and gave the go ahead……

I don’t blame Jose but hate our owner and another thing he’s done to us, the fans.

Carrolls money will not all go on players and neither will Jose’s! Anyone who thinks £50 mil will be spent on platers is living in cloud cuckoo land.

We are a selling club .
What happened to Jose saying he would make his mind up in the summer when we are safe ?
that seems to be and was always the statement the club feed us ..more Lies ?

Why are we a selling club? ..because we won’t match the wages of the vultures that hover round us when a player shows he’s a top player.

We could keep these players if Ashley raises the wage limit a tad

Where are we going as a club with this policy?

Nowhere ..Mid table ? Winning nowt season after season … skirting relegation..?
Kevin Keegan was right in what he said
We will never get anywhere with Ashley as the owner

JIMMYMAGPIE Had it said to his face by Ashley
He wants to get his own back on us Bloody Geordies ,whats that all about ?

Why we have to sell anyone to Liverpool is beyond stupid , we might as well be saying , heres one of our best players ..you grow as a club and we will go backwards ..If Jose is is going then don’t sell to our rivals in the Prem, sell him abroad ..

IM finished with this lot at Newcastle if we keep selling our best players with no real attempt to keep them because we wont pay the going rate for a top players wage…we will loose out all the time year after year

Really, If this happens again Ashley can **** o**

And is Phil Thompson trying to rub our noses in it ? with his Liverpool are far supeirior to Newcastle United attitude?

I dont care what Ashley’s put into this club if we keep on selling our best players..we are going nowhere as a team and a club ..Just a selling club

Milner, Given, Carrol, Bassong, all top players gone ! £60 million quid ! Thats without mentioning Zogbia’s fee in the equation

With Jose’s £15 million And the Carrol fee thats a cool £50 million !!! without TV £30 million ..

We are Pi**ing in the wind really as fans .

This summer is really really defining as we have the biggest transfer Kitty of any prem club apart from Man City say..

Lets see what excuses the Ashley regime come up with when we don’t sign any top player’s ..just free’s and also ran’s ..lets just see…

You know in your heart of Newcastle United hearts don’t you ..that they are going to take the pi** out of us again.

    Disappointment Lurks.

I am a little sad to hear the news but when you seen his performance yesterday, it sort of tells you that he doesn’t want to be here anymore. Wendt is better and all of this talk about Van Aanholt. WHY!!, he’ll be like Perch (thought he was good in the championship and we bring him to the PL) and look what he’s done!

He still not quite in last 12 mnths either, im suspecting mr thompsons talking bull and may mean a decision on sess pool behalf to bid 15m, is in place. MA aint daft enough to start expecting bids until he sees at end of season who bids highest!

I wonder if Tim Krul has been promised to Arsenal or Man Utd ?… Why?

Tim Krul is a fantastic keeper He will be Holland’s top international Keeper for years to come .

He is the best Keeper at our club without doubt but was dropped with the poorest of excuses by Ashley ? Yes Ashley …Not Pardew ..the official line was he was dropped because of his Kicking !!!!

His Kicking is excellent ..look at some of his games, look back.. He made one error

Look at Harper at Stoke ..big glaring errors ..still in the team ..not dropped like Tim.

There might be a bid on the table for Tim and to avoid what looks like taking the pi** out of the fans with another top top player leaving, Tim Is stuck on the bench and we forget about him so as to not upset us and cause us more disappointment with the Ashley regime

A word about Harper , A good Guy but not a good keeper.
He looks like a keeper, walks like one, does the standard things ..goal kicks etc.. but cant save shots or deal with crosses to save his life ..He really is a mediocre Keeper ..

Tim Krul will save a match for you with some amazing saves ..He will get you 3 points with extraordinary out of this world saves that he has no right to get to

Harper will just watch the ball go by ..his reactions are slower and in my opinion he is an Amatuer keeper ..really ..I now think that other clubs have rumbled us in that we don’t have a proper keeper in goal

Tim Krul is being Kept out of the side because we have sold him .

And dont go giving me a hard time because i tell it like it is, Steve Harper is a mediocre keeper

And before you have a pop at me look at some of his performances ..He’ has had the ball kicked straight at him or headed straight at him and it looks like he’s doing a job ..But slightly left or right of him and he is nowhere near …check it out see if Im wrong …

Tim Krul is far superior , ask yourself why is he on the bench.

Pardew has already stated that he has to let one of the keepers go ..and I think Krul has already been sold

Its all lies smoke and mirrors with the Ashley regime and the manager is his yes man

Let the slagging begin. Bring it on..or get your head’s outa the sand.

Online guy, did you watch the aston villa game? It could have been more than the scoreline if it wasn’t for some amazing saves from Harper. The commentators kept saying how he is one of the best around. Krul maybe be good, but at this time i’d still rather have Harper in goal. And as for “before you have a pop at me look at some of his performances ..He’ has had the ball kicked straight at him or headed straight at him and it looks like he’s doing a job ..But slightly left or right of him and he is nowhere near …check it out see if Im wrong”.
He made two WORLD CLASS dives to save us more harm against AV. Both one handed. No offence but I think Krul would have put them into the net.

Online Guy… seriously, please stop talking. YES, Mike Ashley is a bad owner, but why you feel the need to post about 2 A4 pages repeating exactly the same stuff that gets written on here day after day I don’t know.

It’s SO boring reading the same stuff again and again and again. Also, Pardew said the other day that at the start of next season he expects to have 3 keepers challenging for the #1 shirt.

And saying Mike Ashley dropped Krul? What on earth are you talking about? Yes, Mike Ashley’s a complete and utter w*nker, a disgusting human being, and one of the worst owners football will ever see, but don’t talk out of your arse…

    Online Guy-

I would much rather have Steve in goal. Tim has good potential but I would never describe him in such a fashion as yourself. You’d think he was the best ‘keeper in the entire league. I don’t think Harper is the greatest either, but his communication is superior and I would argue he is more solid in goal. How could you have missed some of those saves he made yesterday? One was a particularly top save.

On a further note, out of our entire squad the GK position is the one area we need to stress over the least, apart from perhaps CM.

NUFC has turned the biggest end of year profit of any club in the English football league at 51.7mil. That after being relegated. Anyone who thinks Ashley has anything resembling the fans interests, or the on-field success of the first team is wildly in denial.

Oh aye – Nagatomo – the young Japanese left-back currently having a stormer on loan at Inter… if they don’t take up the option in the summer we should be IN THERE. Classy marauding attacking fullback.
