Has Bidding War For Jose Enrique Already Started?

6:33 pm, Friday, April 29th, 2011 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 172 Comments

It could be that a bidding war is brewing for Newcastle’s top left-back Jose Enrique.

Jose Enrique - has been great for Newcastle

Let’s be clear from the start, that we would love for Jose to stay on Tyneside, because he’s a good player and been very loyal to the club in his nearly four years on Tyneside, and he always gives 100% when he pulls on the famous black and white shirt of Newcastle.

However, if the Spaniard wants to leave, we’ll be honest and say we’d like nothing better than a bidding war to develop between the interested club, who are currently  said to be Liverpool, Bayern Much and AC Milan, although there may be others enter the fray.

According to reports in Germany today, Newcastle have received an official bid from German Champions Bayern Munich for Jose, who is now 25 years old.

Jose has only 14 months left on his five year contract, and he was signed by  then manager Sam Allardyce in August of 2007 for £6.2M from Villareal, and after a difficult first season, Jose has turned out to be a terrific buy for the club.

The German reports don’t know exactly how much has been bid for the player, but are reporting it’s definitely in excess of the £9M Liverpool have said to have offered for the player.

There are different amounts being touted around in terms of the fee, and Liverpool legend Phil Thompson a couple of weeks ago said Liverpool would pay £15M for Enrique, but that seems a lot of money for a player with just over a year of his contract left – but we’ll take it. :D

As we said, we hope Jose stays on Tyneside, and there’s still a chance he will do just that, but if he does leave, let’s make sure Newcastle get as much as they can for him, and invest that money in this summer’s transfer market, in terms of fees and wages for players who are coming to Tyneside.

Comments welcome.

  • 3 shearerno9 // Apr 29, 2011 at 6:50 PM

Bayern are having a massive overhaul of their squad, hold out for every penny and hopefully liverpool will keep pushing up the price.

I think the only question left is, what club is he going to – it will be interesting to see how he does against liverpool though, putting himself in the shop window and hopefully bumping up the price

  • 4 Toonmania // Apr 29, 2011 at 6:50 PM

i’d take a lower offer from Bayern Much and AC Milan rather than let the scummy bin men have him.

So sad if enrique leaves although he has done the club proud by sticking with us through relegation when others left. Just do us one more favour jose
    DO NOT GO TO LIVERPOOL!!!

  • 7 Rangerman // Apr 29, 2011 at 6:59 PM

Already told the club he’s agreed to join Milan according to Beardsley.

  • 8 Partizan // Apr 29, 2011 at 7:01 PM

HOPE ENRIQUE signs a new deal with NUFC cause he is one of the finest lb in premier league

  • 11 GeordieGerman // Apr 29, 2011 at 7:11 PM

If Enrique does go I don’t want him to be the best LB in the PL. I don’t mind him being the best LB in the Bundesliga or the Serie A. But not the PL.

  • 12 colwell // Apr 29, 2011 at 7:11 PM

4 more games seeing Jose in a Newcastle shirt there is not a hope in hell he`ll stay.

Looks like Gervinho will be a no-go also If he leaves Lille it will only be for a team in Europe, Balls!!

  • 13 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 7:18 PM

has gervinho said that or is that u guessing bcoz twente were in champs league yet we still got tiote

  • 14 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 7:39 PM

If he wants to leave let him go.Bring young Fergie in he will do a good job.

  • 15 chuck // Apr 29, 2011 at 7:39 PM

Hey, we got a few good years outta the guy and as he appears to want away, lets get whatever the market will bear.
Remember everyone is re placeable !

  • 16 shearerno9 // Apr 29, 2011 at 7:42 PM

gervinho said he wants european football next year, so its no use with him. I think kevin doyle and shane long would be two decent buys, not too expensive and would work for the team – granted not going to get bucket loads of goals but with their work rate alone would create a fair few.

It would be stupid not to look at somebody like van nistelrooy on a free transfer on the right wages, the guy has goals written all over him…. even if it was just for a season – but i think pardew will look elsewhere so its probably a no go

Y nt tel jose to sign a contract an then sell him, v might get 20m for him then

peter beardsley is gonna be at park drive cricket club in hartlepool for a charity match on saturday ill try have a word with him see what he has to say

  • 25 tom tomb // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:07 PM

    toonfan09- Obviously!

  • 26 Mancgeordie // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:09 PM

if he wants to go let him go and then we can replace him and move on, if wigan go down we should replace him figeroa and get n’zogbia, rodellega those 3 players could turn us into a top 6-8 contender i’am not to bothered with how much we spend as long as we improve some come sept 1st we can say yeah we are better than we was mid may quality and progress is more important than whether we spend 25m on a single player

  • 27 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:12 PM

mancgeordie spot on there its not about spending 20mill on a player but the qaulity of is better

  • 28 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:13 PM

Well just read on another forum the pr*** Pardew has said it is going to be difficult to attract players to the toon.More bulls*** from the bloke who said yesterday we will have no problem in signing players.

  • 29 north east lincs toon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:15 PM

tonytoon yeah he is. he was was crap player bad loser liverpool loose or concede a goal always an exscuse can,t stand bg beaked faced f#####r

  • 30 coolcatcarter89 // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:18 PM

I think the fee will end up being £12-15m. Could conceivably get Gibbs, Van Aanholt and have some spare change! Would be great battle to see who gets the jersey between those two, both have potential to be better than Enrique, in my opinion.

  • 31 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:19 PM

tonytoon73 – depends what players your goin for ones that are playing champs league or a tp european team wants them then yea will be tough to get em anyone else it will easy

  • 32 north east lincs toon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:20 PM

why the f##k are we looking players like boothrood and williams from the championship

  • 33 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:26 PM

So we will just sign championship players

  • 34 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:29 PM

By the looks of it that’s all Pardew can interest

  • 35 rknufc // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:30 PM

  • 36 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:33 PM

bothroyd n ashley williams would improve are sqaud as would gradel, snodgrass, taarbt, long, graham, sinclair n some other players from the championship thats why, jus bcoz there in a lower league dont mean there not better

  • 37 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:34 PM

follow cwarr07 he usaully gets info

  • 38 G-Man // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:36 PM

Well well this is a surprise , Pardew said earlier today ‘ one of the most difficult parts of the game, convincing players that the future here is bright, doesn’t sound very promising on just keeping our best players, nevermind buying better one’s. Forget the cream of young talent in europe, championship players it will be then..

  • 39 rknufc // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:38 PM

    @davybtoon cheers

  • 40 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:38 PM

just look at best n williamson turned out to b great buys now for jus 1million each, routledge n perch aint worked out but i dont believe perch will b sold n he is still young with time to improve n ill never forget that game v forest were he jonas in his pocket at SJP probably why we bought him

  • 41 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:41 PM

what is wrong with championship players someone tell, n are we ever gonna attract cream of eurpeon talent anyway not if someone can offer champs league is what he is saying

  • 42 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:43 PM

if at end of window weve signed bothroyd, williams, taarbt, gradel, larrson, wednt n got some europeon players like sow, mbengue, or some ive never heard of b4 ill be buzzing bcoz are sqaud will b better

  • 43 Mancgeordie // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:43 PM

yeah davytoon we need to go for players that aren’t at big clubs already or being touted by champions league clubs that want to play in the prem like your al arabi we need to just build and like i said progress i mean them 3 from wigan i said earlier and al arabi our lineup would be (without barton cos i’am still unsure of what he would do in summer)

    ———————krul———————–
    simo———colo——willo——-figeroa-
    ————-tiote————nolan———–
    al-arabi———–benarfa——-n’zogbia–
    ——————–rodellega——————
    see progress

  • 44 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:44 PM

Some of the players you said davybtoon have been at premiership clubs and they f****d them off, just look at Routledge now at QPR good in championship sh** in premiership.

  • 45 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:45 PM

jus gotta look at graham carrs record of players he brought in at every club this guy knows a qaulity player wen he sees one, n i trust his judgement over some fans who think they know best coz there good champ manager

  • 46 toonfan09 // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:47 PM

while we need players tht arent from the championship and already have a proven quality there are some championship players that can be bought cheaply enough that are good enough to boost our thread bare squad

u cant have a squad of superstars unless your the likes of madrid

a show with charlton last night made a good point three players won them pretty much everything law, best and charlton

u need those few special players then also a team that has good depth

man utd prime example u cud say that chelsea arsenals and maybe even man city have a better first 11 but man utd have 3 or 4 special players the likes of nani giggs rooney and hernadez the rest are pretty average as an attacking force but all work hard and when they have players missing they have the numbers to field a half decent side

  • 47 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:49 PM

Williamson was a premier league player when we signed him from Portsmouth.

  • 48 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:51 PM

tonytoon 73- what like taarbt n how stupid were spurs to sell him for less than a million, sometimes players need to go play regular footie before they realise there abaility jus look at taarbt n sinclair
routledge is championshi standard we knew that b4 he came
but look at tim cahill signed from millwall when in league 1, beckford signed from league 1, williamson n best both from championship, matt jarvis signed from league 2, kevin doyle championship, dorrans, thomas at wba do i need go to on

  • 49 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:54 PM

davybtoon I thought Graham Carr was in europe and asia watching talent not in the championship

  • 50 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:54 PM

williamson had never played premier league footbll tough only championship with watford, i mean jus look at puncheon n matt phillips at blackpool from league 1 n 2 but giving a chance n have proved there capable of pl

  • 51 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 8:59 PM

tonytoon 73- so say we sign max gradel from leeds and bony wilfried from vitesse whos better u sayin the guy from holland or the one from championship

  • 52 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:01 PM

fact is they would both improve are team and neither are proving premier league players or u saying there both crap bcoz there not high as profile as bigger name from europe

  • 53 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:04 PM

Where are wolves and blackpool in the league like,so you might as well say championship dip****.

  • 54 stuart no9 // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:11 PM

jose has always said that he loves it here , and i believe him , now , if it was true that we are going for all these great players would that , maybe tempt him to sign a new contract. ok he is ambitious , but if pards was to show the same ambition could that be enough to sway him , or does he want more? why leave somewhere he loves ?

  • 55 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:13 PM

well id take bein a dip**** who clearly knows what a good player looks like then a football snob whos idea of a good footballer is they have to cost more than 15million over wise there tom tit
yea there down at bottom bcoz there sqauds are crap but they have two or three quality players n the like of jarvis, doyle, rodeglla, nzogbia, parker, demba ba, cole, samba, holliett, adams will be bought by prem teams shud they be relegated

  • 56 Billy1985 // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:13 PM

i hope there is a bidding war cause we could do with the money. and as for buying championship players 1 maybe yes but not more than 2 thats a joke we should be getting decent lads in from all over the top leagues to show our ambition as a club going places if they are any good why havent the likes of manu, man city, chelsea etc went in for them or in fact many other prem clubs……we are a bigger club than buying championship players

  • 57 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:14 PM

Stuart no9 your being negative,he he

  • 58 Mancgeordie // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:17 PM

there are players in the teams going down that would improve our squad also we have been linked to a good few younger players this week like the argie striker n wanyama from some team in belgium its just about quality rather how much or how good his rep is

  • 59 Billy1985 // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:19 PM

stuff it because i had a rant the other day but i would take carlton cole any day of the week think he would be a total different player in our squad. i wouldnt mind a few players from the relegated clubs from the prem definately make a difference to us. @davybtoon your right mate we have been there and done that at buying massive players well so called players but its time for a change and i think it will work in time because its not going to be overnight success

  • 60 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:20 PM

Cole your having a laugh and you must have never went to a game when parker played for us. Clueless

  • 61 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:23 PM

bcoz manu man city n chelsea are buying the best players in the world n jus to prove my point tiote n hernandez both bought for less than 10mill probably the 2 best new comers to the premier league this year n who the hell had heard of them b4 that, its not bought biggest n best names in europe its bout havin great scouting networks u can find them gems n when u hav europeon footie to offer then u can start talkin bout the playrs your on about

  • 62 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:23 PM

Where would parker get in our team now.

  • 63 Billy1985 // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:24 PM

ive had a season ticket since i was 16 and i also played football so im not clueless at all mate. we arent going to get massive players so your saying you would have shola over cole? shola shouldnt even be at newcastle now we should have cashed in on him years ago even though we wouldnt of got much

  • 64 ToonDownSouth // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:26 PM

What people need to start thinking, is why would all these great players want to come to Newcastle? We have no European football to offer, we’ve just been promoted, we have a low profile manager, and well documented ownership issues – despite the positive of fantastic support.

This is going to be a slow building process. We won’t be buying Gervinho or Sow.

  • 65 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:26 PM

id take cole aswell better than all are strikers n as for parker yes crap when he was here but hav u not seen him this season think youll find thts the reason spurs n liverpool are wanting him

  • 66 ToonDownSouth // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:27 PM

Also, my best mate’s a West Ham supporter from London, and says the frustrating thing is that they know he CAN be good when he’s motivated. There’s just not much to be found at Upton Park !!!

  • 67 Billy1985 // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:28 PM

davybtoon i wasnt having a go i was agreeing i totally understand we need those gems and i think parker coulkd fit in because nolan really hasnt got pace has he not saying parker has lots of but he can shift faster than nolan, and im not saying nolan is crap.

  • 68 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:28 PM

davybtoon I have never mentioned big money signings but some decent signings, but not from the championship.

  • 69 stuart no9 // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:31 PM

cmon tony toon gis a break, am starting to get paranoid man, am even getting the mrs to check it over before i click the submit

  • 70 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:33 PM

we hav the chance to get any player from the french league n dutch league we are still regarded as massive club over there hence the reson were targetin those markets, we may not hav eurpeon footie to offer but in france bcoz of the way we handled hba were very well thought of n moussa sow is very realistic target top 4 wont b goin for him, which means we hav a chance as we do with gamerio, even gervinho bcoz tiote, n if rumours are true we have officals in france ryt now trying to tie 3 deals

  • 71 Tonytoon73 // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:35 PM

Billy1985 I wasn’t calling you clueless. I was calling the comment before you by davybtoon

  • 72 Mancgeordie // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:35 PM

whether we want massive players or not ain’t an issue your only as big as where you finish at the end of a season not how many fans you have or how big your ground its harsh but true cole wouldn’t do it for me either would love rodellaga gets normally 10-15 goals a season in a poor plays on the last defender would stretch the play allowing ben arfa to have more room between def and mid to play has good movement and has prem experiance not sure of his age but i don’t think he is that old

  • 73 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:36 PM

billy1985 i know u wernt n i agree with u bout carlton cole wud b very different player in our team

  • 74 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:38 PM

tonytoon73 – well id like u to name the players u think we shud b goin for and then we can see who is being realistic with there targets

  • 75 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:39 PM

rodellaga still only 24 i think

  • 76 ToonDownSouth // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:39 PM

I know what has been said about us having a good reputation due to HBA, but I read someone on here the other day suggesting that that means Benzema may want to come here.

But I also agree that, with the possible exception of Best who hasn’t had a long enough chance, NONE of our strikers are good enough for a top half side. I would ley McLoven and Shola leave, but I’m sure we wont.

I’d be happy with Cole or Rodellaga over what we currently have.

  • 77 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:43 PM

we will never get benzema, its more players that are playing in france now, for starters we cudnt afford his wages but he wud b one my dream buys if we cud get one but no chance of that happening

  • 78 dazza // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:45 PM

  • 81 Mancgeordie // Apr 29, 2011 at 9:54 PM

Berbatov he is a toon fan aswell

  • 86 Mancgeordie // Apr 29, 2011 at 10:01 PM

i’d have rodellega, perotti, lens or n’zogbia and a good strong cb to complement colo someone like willo just better (cahill or shawcross would be ideal) and if el toro and barton go then figuoroa and fer if wigan go down i reckon 20m could bag all 3 players

denis stracqualursi i agree with didnt someone reckon his agent was in toon the other day, perotti n denis we hav chance simply bcoz of jonas n colo are here so wud be very easy for them to settle in, honda we cudnt afford his wages
gamerio wud b my top striker and id like to pacey trickey wingers like taarbt, perrotti fits the bill n that guy from psv the hungarian

Since i live in Macedonia which is next to Bulgaria i will tell you something interesting about Berbatov.

Not many people know that he was drinking a lot while he was in CSKA Sofia, but was still scoring goals for fun.

One day the manager decided enough is enough,,so he told him to stop drinking cos he was worried for his health.
The outcome was very negative cos then Berbatov couldn’t score a goal for 7 or 8 games.
The manager realized the problem so he had no choice but to allow him to drink again.
Next thing you know, hat trick straight away from Berbatov……since then he was allowed to drink as much as he liked.

Its funny i know, but its true.

I didn’t realize that uphill gardener was a euphemism for toon fan ochytoon? Seriously though, I don’t care what he is, but he can deffo kick a ball well. With regard to some of the comments above about transfers, I agree that inflated fees need to be a thing of the past, and also we should be looking at the Dutch, Belgian and French leagues, because there is much better value for money there. Somebody hit the nail on the head earlier when they suggested a limit of £5M max for a player. I think it’s doable, and with the right scouting should give us a decent enough team to continue building both financially and as a football team.

If we get near £10m sell him we can get 2 players of equal ability for that to make a mix stronger squad. Just read some guy on twitter saying We are back in for Kevin Gameiro with a £9.5m offer plus add ons. He is perfect for 18 league goals this season with 17 and 11 before that.

TonyToon73 – It’s alright, I guess I’ll have to take one for the team. In regards to this story. This is great news. The bigger the price the better the replacement so I would welcome this bidding war. We’ve already seen Liverpool are willing to play over the odds for players they want

  • 125 Andy // Apr 29, 2011 at 11:17 PM

Why would we want Ngog. He is total gash. If your plan is to get rid of Shola and sign Ngog then what you are doing is replacing the original Shola for a younger one meaning we are stuck with a gangly lanky shocking footballer for even longer.

  • 126 ToonDownSouth // Apr 29, 2011 at 11:18 PM

I guess so yeah, but you’d also think that people in the industry would know more than us, but we spend all year round hearing completely mixed reports. But I imagine Enrique made his mind up as soon as Pardew came in and disciplined him for tweeting immediately!

Also, please combine your posts lol! & I’d take Ngog & Pacheco any day. Pacheco was fantastic at the U19 Euro’s

  • 127 Andy // Apr 29, 2011 at 11:18 PM

Beram Kayal davy. Watch them a lot as they are my second team and go up to watch the 2 or 3 times a year. I can tell you that he is quality. He has been linked with both Man U and Liverpool which kinda puts into perspective how good he is. Great engine in midfield and bosses almost every game. One of those players that puts absolutely everything in and he would be loved if he came here. Him and Tiote CM would be immese

thanks andy thats the guy hes only 22 aswell aint what price u looking at for him n whats fraser been like in goal

  • 133 Andy // Apr 29, 2011 at 11:32 PM

I’m not too sure but the prices being touted for him have been between 8-10m but whether they would come to us is another question as we don’t have anything to offer them really as if they are looking to move up in football they will want to prove they can play in Europe. And davy with Forster in goal i have my heart in my mouth every time the opposition attack. He can pull off the odd great save but he is terribly slow to get down to things and he never comes out for things which is a big problem considering he is 6″5. Basically he is just a mini Harper

  • 134 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 11:34 PM

well if we did sign tabanou, larrson, gamerio, kayal, ngog, gradel, snodgrass, there all 22 n 23 apart from larson whos 25 all those to our current sqaud would be great thats 2 strikers 1 centre midfielder n 4 wingers with one a left bk but cud get wednt aswell who also only 25

  • 136 Brutooon // Apr 29, 2011 at 11:35 PM

Figuero decent replacement, i want wayne bridge but he is 29 already. Shane Ferguson is still a young player but he is more of a winger than a left back (and he need to add some muscle)

  • 137 davybtoon // Apr 29, 2011 at 11:38 PM

ya talking probably 25mill for 8 players there
    gamerio 12mill
    kayal 7/8mill
    larrson n wednt free
    gradel 2mill
    snodgrass 2mill
ngog free part of jose deal
n id add williams from swansea

  • 138 Andy // Apr 29, 2011 at 11:43 PM

Think we’d need stronger wingers than gradel larsson and snodgrass. Out of those 3 only Gradel has the potential to take us up to the next level imo. We need players to take the club forward. I would take larsson and Gradel and Wendt (if Jose isn’t sold) as squad players. The other signings would be good. Williams is a very good defender, probably better than Taylor and Willo

  • 139 GeordieGerman // Apr 29, 2011 at 11:44 PM

Why do people think that if (if) Enrique goes he will go to Liverpool? I lean to Italy, Spain or even Germany. The teams that have been mentioned from these countries have more chance of a Champions League trophy. Ok Spain hasn’t been mentioned yet, but it’ll come.

  • 140 GeordieGerman // Apr 29, 2011 at 11:46 PM

Andy, Williamson is learning. It’s his first season (playing) in the PL. Remember Jose’s first season in PL.

  • 141 Brutooon // Apr 29, 2011 at 11:47 PM

Enrique would prefer a move back to spain to make sure his Spain International cap achieve

I thing he can easily get the left back position in either r.madrid or barca

  • 163 Andy // Apr 30, 2011 at 12:32 AM

Was watching the damned united the other day with a few pals which got us on to talking about the best british managers. We came to the conclusion all the best come from either the North of England or Scotland. Examples being, Fergie, Busby, Stein, Clough, Sir Bobby, Shankly, Paisely. Quite interesting i thought

  • 164 gorskino10 // Apr 30, 2011 at 12:46 AM

    @coolcatcarter89
Kinda of but if they do they will (just) go down but i dont see that happening with Milljaovic who has 15 goals in Bundesliga they have enough toi survive.
If he would leave Arsenal and Spurs are linked with Podolski he wont join us over them 2.

“For sure, our pool of strikers needs boosting, there’s no doubt about that, and that will be high on the agenda,” he concluded.”

Quotes from Pardew, ATLEAST he knows we need a striker i was worried as ive stated before i see around MAX 3 new players (even) if one of them is a LB for a replacement.
I was hoping one of them would be a striker and atleast its HIGH on the agenda.

Have little faith in Pardew but have full support with Carr and the scouting team.

Barton feels he owes us for 3 years. Will he play for free then ? No didn’t think so. Joey looks after number one and always has.

It’s funny Pardew now saying its difficult to attract players to SJP. I wonder how much factors like Barton play in that, along with a mediocre manager, no European football, a classless chav of an owner and a slimey sidekick of a chairman.

  • 171 Phil K // Apr 30, 2011 at 11:17 AM

He’s paid back what we paid for him, and has been the opposite of the likes of Michael owen, say when it comes to giving back what he’s taken from the club. If he needs to go, we don’t want him to, but OK.
    BUT WE NEED A REPLACEMENT
Young Ferguson is well liked by the fans, and may just be a home grown replacement.

    Rh you ask

I wonder how much factors like Barton play in that, along with a mediocre manager, no European football, a classless chav of an owner and a slimey sidekick of a chairman,

Those factors probably don’t even come into it as the rest of the world does not look at things the way you and your small minded group of bellends do.

I think most people see the world in a better light than the one you and the other doom and gloomers on this site are looking through.
