Alan Pardew Interested In Jamie O’Hara

Jamie O’Hara has long been a transfer target for Newcastle United.

Jamie O’Hara in action against Newcastle

And in today’s Sunday Sun, there is a short report that Alan Pardew is interested in bringing the Spurs player to Newcastle in the summer.

Jamie has been in great form for Wolves this year, since he’s been on loan from Spurs, but today he seems to have surprisingly pledged his future to the Wolves club.

The 24 year-old has said that Wolverhampton is  perfect for his ten-month-old son Archie and his fiance Danielle Lloyd:

“We’re really settled here at the moment and we’re actually looking for a house to put down some roots,” “I’m really enjoying my football and Danielle loves it here too which is another reason why I’d love to stay here.”

“She’s become great friends with some of the players’ wives and we’re going on holiday together to Portugal with a few of the boys and their families.” “We’ve become really close with people here and we really enjoy it.”

“She’ll go where I go because we’re a family now and we stick together and we’re going to have another baby in September so I think it’s time we settled down somewhere and stopped moving around.” “We want somewhere we can have as our family home.”

“We’ve found some lovely places in Sutton Coldfield, but it would be silly to go and buy somewhere now and then the chairman turns round and says ‘it’s not going to happen, go back to Tottenham’.”

“But we’ve got plans in place if it happens so we’ll have to wait and see.” “If the club stays up it’s going to be a big summer for me because I will put down some roots and get some things organized.”

Even if Wolves get relegated, O’Hara is still hoping for a permanent deal in the Midlands, but he says quite rightly that would be up to the club’s owners to decide.

Of course all that thinking may change rather quickly, if  Jamie gets a chance to play in front of 50,000 fans at St. James’ Park, so we’ll take it all with a pinch of salt.

Jamie is a good player and a good lad, and he seems to have an excellent attitude and outlook on the game.

He would fit very nicely into the Newcastle squad.

Comments welcome.

Where would he fit in though? We already have a fairly packed midfield (when fit anyway).

We do not need O’Hara. We already have a packed midfield with Barton, Tiote, Nolan, and next season we will have Gosling and maybe H.B.A if he is played in behind the front two and we will have Vuckic back in also. Vuckic will have to start putting more pressure on Pardew by putting in some top performances next year. Next year is pretty vital for Vuckic. I think we will offload Smith, Gutrie and R.Taylor and let go Campbell and Kuqi. Pardew knows full well that we will need more than 3-4 players through the door next season. Like i said we will more then likely let Kuqi and Campbell go so there’s 2 down already and it looks more likely now that we will lose Enrique and there is a chance we will lose Tiote if a huge offer is made which will probably happen. I can see 6-7 players leaving at least so this summer is very important for the future of NUFC.

    Wolves 2-0 WBA

Climbing out of the relegation zone in the process…

Timely win for them if they hold on.

A decent player, but not a player that will get ahead of Tiote or Barton in CM, maybe not even ahead of Gosling (when) he is fit so bit pointless.

But (IF) Hammers go down guess what Pardwho would be the ONLY PERSON in the world who will choose to sign Cole over Ba.
Lets hope he has no say in signings.

    Good with the ball
And he know how to kick to a ball!

I’ll tell you something else Pardew should be interested in …

And that is telling STaylor to pack in DELIBERATELY elbowing players. He often does it slyly, sometimes obviously, and far too often. Ever since he came into the first team Taylor has tried to show how ‘hard’ he is by making these dangerous – and stupid – elbow leading challenges.

This is also the guy who two or three times has gone down in the box holding his face when the ball has clearly hit his hand. He’s clearly got a touch of the bullsh%tter in his character.

If Taylor ends up seriously hurting someone all of these other elbow incidents will be replayed.

Mark my words – Taylor is bad accident waiting to happen if Pardew doesn’t get him to clean up his act.

What type of a player is Gosling? Is he more defensive like Tiote, or more of an attacking player? Either way we need to players who can tidy up in midfield and stop the opposition coming at us. Tiote is one, so assuming he stays we need to make sure we have another (and no, Smith doesn’t count any more).

Wolves to stay up… Their run home is much easier than Blackpool. They play against the unwashed and Stoke. Win one of those and they’re in good shape.

They could use a Wigan-West Ham draw or a Hammers win and they’re in the box seat for survival.

Cheers Tony. I can see him having more chance in the defensive role, despite Tiote being so prominent, as there’s a fair old queue for the attacking roles. Plus there are plenty of times when you want to put two defensive midfielders in the centre and just rely on wingers.

trying to be very realistic….no big names
here is my wish list based upon their value and what wages we could afford.
    prem players only
    what do you think

Samba – powerful, good positioning, owns the air

Shawcross – leader, reads the game, powerful

jarvis – trickery, winger, can cross

warnock – steady, good cross, versatile

    kranjcar – tecnical, creative

nzogbia – not sure we would have been relegated if jfk hadnt pissed him off – quality

onuoha – i think if we give him a bath and washed him, he would be worth a gamble

bendtner – not everyone tea but in a 442 hes exelent

    ireland – loan

No one player makes a team. We then have a decent striker, left back cover and money to get a new defensive midfielder.

Marvin Martin (born 10 January 1988 in Paris) is a French football player who currently plays for French club Sochaux in Ligue 1. He plays as a creative play-making midfielder and is described as a player with “very good technique on the ball” and “excellent vision”, which compensates for his relatively small frame.
    5 ft 7 94 app with 19 assists 6 goals.
Has only been the main playmaker this season

Remember we are top of the injury list every single season therefore he can provide backup as well as competition
