More Injuries As Kevin Nolan Now Out For The Season

We really don’t know what’s happening with the Newcastle players these last couple of months, but news is coming through that Kevin Nolan is out for the rest of the season.

Kevin Nolan – wearing new strip – big miss for the last two games

The Evening Chronicle is reporting today that the Newcastle captain is to have a minor operation on his ankle, and he is out for the season.

We can only assume this is a precautionary move by Newcastle, and probably very sensible too, after Danny Simpson played the last few games with an ankle injury last season, and then was out for six months.

Danny did nothing but make the injury a lot worse, and Newcastle paid the price, with Danny not coming back until late October.

Kevin will be a big loss and with Mike Willaimson out last week and other players missing it will be tough test for Newcastle to get too many points out of their last two games at Chelsea and at home to West Brom.

Nolan’s goal total for the season is capped at 12 goals for the season, and it will make it difficult for Newcastle now.

With Tiote also likely to miss the last two games of the season, because he’s on 14 yellow cards for the season and one more caution will get him a  3 match ban, we wonder who will be the Newcastle  central midfielders in the last two games.

Maybe Joey Barton will move into the center of midfield, and Ryan Taylor could come in on the right wing.

But who plays defensive midfield we just don’t know.

Do you have any ideas?

i think he should play barton and guthrie in the CM roles. guthrie has been playing well in the last few games he has featured in so i think we should see if he could continue this form.

im also glad that this injury has came at the best time for nolan as we dont really need any points in the last two games although i would like us to try.

just interested to see if any youngsters get a game or sub app.

    Nolan out for the season…

That’s horrible! seeing as the season only has two matches left!

Thank god it is only a minor knock, hopefully this doesn’t interfere with his signing of a new contract.

I suppose it would give them (Smith and Perch) a chance to show us what they’re made of.

Maybe we could sling a young one in and give some exp.

Guthrie and Barton this Sunday vs Chelsea if fit with R.Taylor RM. Then maybe Ben Arfa/Gosling half a game each if fit enough alongside Guthrie vs WBA with Barton reverting to RM

play raylor on the wing with joey and smithy i the middle and i reckon we should try either lovenpants or shola up top alone with vuckic just behind…..worth a punt!

i would imagine that jonas goes right, fergie on the left, barton and tiote in the middle – tiote’s season finished last week but after nolan dropping out id put a large wager on tiote playing some part in the last 2 games. If we play guthrie and barton in the middle whos their cover??

I wouldn’t mind seeing young Richardson get 15mins against Chelsea and then get a start against West Brom to see how good the lad is.

According to FootballBanta (Alan Smiths ex) Heskey is on his way to North England. That could be us, the scum, M’Boro or Leeds. Be funny if Scumderland got him but my guess out of the 4 would be Leeds as he is getting old now and as many players do step down a division.

Guthrie is injured as is Perch & if they don’t risk Tiote maybe the line up could look something like this.

I know this is off topic but is it only me that thinks Fraser Forster should be number 1 next season??

Surely he deserves a chance after spending 2 season on loan, producing top class performances in both Scotland and England. I mean he’s in witha chance of being in a Scottish Premiership winning team. I really hope Alan Pardew doesn’t sell him as I think it’ll come to bite him in the arse so to speak!

I dont know the deal with that Twitter account.. APPARENTLY it is Smudgers ex bird with an axe to grind and dishing all the dirt. But then again you just dont know as I know how easy it is to create a twitter account and say I am Lionel Messi and I am going to AFC Wimbledon.

I don’t want a big lump up front. I think by having one it encourages long ball every game. Away from home maybe but 50k+ fans want to see passes and great footy.

I really really want to be positive for transfer window but every player we are interested has been dog shit and every decent play we are interested in have custard pied us!

Pardew knows what we want but i think even he is finding it hard to get the class acts we all want!

Although I’m a fan of Kevin Nolan they do say that this type of surgery can slow you down.

You know where I’m going with this ……

I know loads of Celtic fans and none of them want to sign Forster. JIMMYXAVI Forster will not be in a winning side as Celtic are 1 point behind Rangers with one game to go i cant see Rangers loosing. There will be a helicopter waiting with the trophy to see if Rangers win.

Forster’s not ready, from what I’ve seen of him. Don’t know if he ever will be. He’s very slow.

I can see Krul being our next number 1, or somebody else, but not Forster.

GeordieDoonSooth, you’ve got at least three players out of position in that line up. We have just about enough not to need to do that.

Barton and Vuckic (or Donaldson) at CM

    Right – Raylor

My Point : i rather gave a youngster a start than playing Smith. Nothing to lose and we are already Safe. Might boost Vuckic confident coming to pre-season

Why not Ferguson on the left and Gutierrez on the right? Drop Barton into CM with Smith/Guthrie. Sorted and get one of our best youngsters a run. ?

Nowt to gain, as we can’t reach Europe, nowt to lose as we can’t get relegated. Play the fringe kids, and lets have a look see what they can do, after all, does it really matter if we get tw*tted 10 – nil at this stage of the season?

    —Simpson——-S Taylor—–Colo—-Enrique
    –Routledge——Barton——-Smith– -Jonas
Subs= Lovenkrands, Kuqi, Tavernier, Harper, Ferguson, Taylor (R) and Donaldson or Haris Vuckic.
That is what i think the line up will be for the Chelsea if Routledge is here if not then Barton will be on the right with Haris Vuckic or Donaldson in the middle.
