Charles N’Zogbia Back To Newcastle – That Would Be Surprising

There’s an odd report in the Sunday papers that Newcastle may try to get Charles N’Zogbia back on Tyneside in the summer.

Charles N’Zogbia – does he want to come back?

Newcastle sold N’Zogbia to Wigan for £6M plus getting Ryan Taylor coming the other way, so that could be for around £8M approximately.

Charles has done well at Wigan,  and may even be showing some signs of maturity, and the lad has played well for the Lancashire side this season – their best player easily.

But the fee is said to be £6M, and there’s no way Newcatsle can get him for that low price, surely.

Charles, who is now a full French International seemed to be willing to come back to Newcastle when Pardew went after him on January 31st, after selling Andy Carroll, and that surprised us a little.

At the time the price Wigan wanted was of course sky high, and they were hoping the Magpies were desperate enough – but they weren’t – they are not quite that daft these days

The news is that Newcastle are willing to put together a lucrative package for the 24 year-old, who was at Newcastle from August of 2004 until January of 2009, and there’s no doubt the lad is a very good player.

Sunderland and Birmingham are also said to be interested in the player – and it’s not surprising Sunderland are interested in him. 😀

It would be a big surprise if Charles N’Zogbia comes back to Newcastle, and in our poll asking if readers wanted him back,  around 62% said they didn’t want him back on Tyneside.

Should Newcastle Try To Sign Charles N'Zogbia In The Summer?

I would love someone with his talent but not with his shitty attitude. We can’t go back to the past. We have to make a new squad with newer, younger, hungrier and better players. N’Zogbia was a prick before and always will be. Remember him texting on the phone during team talks?

I would love him back aswell, he is the type of player that Pardew described as being able to get us off our seats. Despite his personality he is an excellent player and at 24 and already very much proven in the premier league he would be a terrific asset to have. He can only improve. And I’m sure Pardew would be able to control him and the team would help to welcome him in.

    For £6m it’s a bargain!

I think he and HBA are quite similar. If Jonas was going I’d be happy to get him back but otherwise with Jonas, HBA and Ferguson all on board we dont need him. He would not be happy on the bench and would disrupt things. We’d be better to get Larsson in on the free, pay him an average wage and use him only when we need to.

Ed -why is this an odd report ,as we tried siGning him on last day of window for 12 mill after judas had gone .For 6 mill would take him in a heartbeat ,imagine zog and benny ,with another creative player and a top striker (no9) we would be a great force going forward !

That’s true JP.. but I doubt we could get someone with his talent for £6m, imagine him and HBA in a team together. They’d run riot. We’d just have to muzzle N’Zogbia

Good player who actually knows how to score, unlike Jonas who refuses to have a pop!

Dont understand why people wouldn’t have him back!

whys everyone thinking of n’zogbia instead of guti .. surely we should have n’zog on the left .. guti on the right and arfa in the middle .. really good attacking flair .. also N’zog and guti track back which is key to a solid team ..

Zog would be a perfect signing, he’s so positive ( on the pitch ) direct and versitile.
He could of course play wide left or right or behind a striker or even in the middle.
    For 6million ( I’d be surprised ) he’s a steal!

No way. Ugly attitude. Bad manner. Selfish player. No one. You don’t bring back bad karma!!!

There other players like him with better attitude. Don’t bring back losers.

People forgot for some reason what and A-hole he was while here.

Id have the Zog back, I could understand his frustration while he was here. Was without a doubt one of our best players in the team then all of a sudeen Damien Duff keeps him out the team with below par performances

At 6M or 7M it would be a good buy but I wouldn’t pay more. His attitude is really awful and do you want to upset the dressing room? Don’t forget that this is the player that opted to leave for a ‘bigger’ club. I don’t think he will get very well with players that stayed after his antics.

He kept saying crap in the press also or getting into trouble for stupid childish behavior. I met him personally and the impression he made was that of arrogance. No more than 7M, we can’t keep looking at past players.

I must agree with many people on here, N’Zogbia & Ben Arfa in the same line-up would be prolific! I would be extremely happy to see him back at St James’ for 6m

hes a useful player to have but no, i wouldnt want him back. throughout my years of watching him he always comes across as a whiner who overrates himself way too much. wouldnt want him to upset the current dressing room.

walked out on us, now fighting a relegation battle. PRICELESS.

that said, i wouldnt mind bassong back tho. lol.

Can’t believe the majority want N’Zogbia back. He couldn’t wait to leave Newcastle the first time, to move to a “big club”. Ended up at bloody Wigan, and I can’t wait to see the whiny bitch relegated.

He’s not a bad player, but for 24 years old, I thought he would have progressed much further than he has. I wouldn’t take him back if they paid us.

Anyone who wouldn’t have him back is clearly idiotic. The lad’s talent CAN NOT be argued with and he would greatly improve our squad, and for only £6m would be a bargain.

i’d better have good team spirit than ‘talented’ player like N’Zombia who wants to play for a bigger club. We have Fergie, we have Gutti, Arfa, Goosling, Raylor and probably Larsson + Barton also could play on the wing. Spend those 6M on wages and buy A BIG STRIKER, No.9.

    simpson s.taylor colocini gibbs

    nolan (c) tiote

    ben arfa barton gutierez

we could proberly get gibbs for the amount of money we sell enrique for (about 10 mill each) i would then buy gibson of man u because there having a clearout sale so they can play in europe he will probaly be 5-10 million and will be good back up for our injury prone midfeild. gamerio will be in excess of 15 million seeing as big clubs are after him this will leave us (if we get the promised 35 million) with 10 million to spare to sign people like demba ba in west hams fire sale, josh mcecheran (cm) and daniel ayala (cb) are two youth players who are on top form and could be bought quite cheaply
