Alan Pardew has again said today that the 35M they received for Andy Carroll in January will be spent in the upcoming summer transfer market.

Alan has also asked the Newcastle fans be patient this summer, as the club goes about trying to get new talent on Tyneside,
Alan knows there was huge disappointment surrounding the news earlier this week, that popular Joey Barton would not be offered a new contract, but he still hopes to keep Joey at Newcastle for next season.
This is what Pardew told the local Newcastle press corps today:
“My message to the fans is that we have to be better next year, it’s as simple as that.” “If we lose Joey like we lost Andy Carroll, we have to improve.”
“We haven’t really had a chance to do anything yet in terms of the transfer market.” “With Andy Carroll, we didn’t have a chance to respond, and we haven’t done anything yet because no-one’s done anything yet. But at some point we will.”
“It’s always negatives towards the end of the season, as players get released – like Sol Campbell and Shefki Kuqi.
“Now the positive stuff needs to come in, and that’s the next period for Newcastle. Positive news about players coming in, and that’s what the fans want.”
There was some news today in France that Newcastle may have tied up a deal with Lille central midfielder Johan Cabaye, and he looks more than a decent player.
That will offer some real competition in the center of the park if the news is true – mainly for Kevin Nolan – since the player is an attacking central midfielder.
