Ben Arfa And Gosling Looked Really Good In Training

Both Hatem Ben Arfa and Dan Gosling will be coming back to training at Newcastle before the rest of their team mates report back on Monday, July 4th.

Hatem Ben Arfa – Newcastle star player next season?

That’s  so that both players can get themselves fighting fit for the upcoming very important season.

The Evening Chronicle is reporting today that Gosling will start pre-season training in a few weeks time in the USA,  with one of the world’s top fitness experts, and then link up with the Newcastle squad when they arrive for their tour of the states in July.

Maybe that will be the same facility that Wayne Rooney went to last November – which was a state-of-the-art fitness center in Portland, Oregon.

Newcastle assistant manager John Carver thinks both players will be back fit and as good as ever come August, as he said today:

“Both Dan and Hatem will be back and up to scratch for the new season.”

“Dan is going to the US first to have a family holiday, then he’ll do some warm weather training before joining us for the games in the States.”

“It’s the same for Hatem. Last season we knew there was no point in risking anybody once we were safe.” “Dan and Hatem looked really good in training.”

It’s good news that both lads looked really good in training and we just have to hope that both of them will make 100% recoveries from their injuries.

Newcastle have been praised to high heaven in France, for the way in which they have handled one of France’s brightest young stars, Ben Arfa, since the 24 year-old broke his left leg last October.

Ben Arfa made 4 brief appearances for Newcatsle last season and Dan Gosling made just one, so they will be like two new players to Newcastle next season, and if they are as good as they were – they’ll both be fighting hard for starting places at Newcastle.

Both players are not out of the woods yet, and they will need to be handled very carefully in pre-season so they don’t have any unwanted relapses.

But Alan Pardew has shown that he is very willing to let the players fully heal and be absolutely ready,  before he will play them again – and that is a very wise approach.

Carver continued about the brilliant Frenchman, who has already captured hearts and minds on Tyneside:

“Our excellent medical team have made sure he is well looked after.” “Hatem has been working hard at Clairefontaine over in France.”

“And again, he’ll be ready for the new season.”

It will be great to welcome back these two new players in the summer, and we really hope both Ben Arfa and Dan Gosling can really shine for the Magpies next season.

Howay The Lads!!

    @toonbelmonter(mr.T…iote)

Why would someone confirm they are leaving for Newcastle if they have not even entered talks of contracts!
That can’t be right, unless he wanted to use us to make it publicly known he is leaving,.. then again stating you are heading to Newcastle would suggest to other clubs that you are already in agreement…

    Strange story that.

@toonruz: he announced it on here a while back. Can’t remember his name, like.

Any way, wasn’t Hatem limping around the pitch after WBA? Can’t imagine him looking all that great in training…

toonbelmonter, that interview with the Lille manager was from the weekend! But yeah, that is the only thing we have heard.

Everyone mouthed off at me when I said that it’s not a done deal lol. But there’s no news of other clubs in for him, so fingers crossed on that one.

If we still need two Strikers (after we supposedly get Gervinho)

My two ideal picks would be
    Sturridge (Ofcourse!)
    Pavylchenko

Why is it that you, and everyone else that post a team leave out Nolan??

He is our captain and was one of our best players last season, not to mention our top scorer.

How you justify leaving him out, I would love to know!?

your probably right. I would love to have nolan in that team has he had scored 12 goals. But i just can’t see where he is going to play? Can you help me and tell me where you would play him?

Maybe drop Cabaye/Tiote as bench players and put Nolan there? Or drop Arfa to the bench and play Nolan in the hole? What would you do?

Arfa’s position is in the hole for sure. Don’t gimme a team with him on the wings.

    @ Munster Mag..

Don’t think he’s allowed to play for Real Madrid being from Valencia!

And with the exception of Barca not sure any of the other Spanish clubs could afford him or his wages. (here’s hoping anyway!)

“Our excellent medical team have made sure he is well looked after.” “Hatem has been working hard at Clairefontaine over in France.”

…that made me chuckle. If our medical team is excellent why is he sent to France again??

I hope he’s back to his best come August both will be like 3 new signings. Although we shouldn’t rely most of our attacking flair from Ben Arfa as he could easily break down again. next season (I hope not!). We should sign more players of his calibre or close to it to be on the safe side.

JP – not that there’s anything wrong with our medical team. After all, they get plenty of practice!

But – there’s a limit to how much rehab work you can do, so still a lot of time to kill.

HBA would have been like a fish out of water in his ‘off’ time on Tyneside so far better to let him do his rehab in France where everything is more familiar, friends around him, etc.

I would have liked the club to fly him back a few times to be at our home games, just to make an appearance. Or maybe they did?
