Reports Newcastle After Algerian Attacking Midfielder

There are reports coming out of France that Newcastle are interested in a young Sochaux midfielder.

Ryad Boudebouz – Newcastle interested?

The play is 21 year-old Frenchman Ryad Boudebouz, who is an attacking midfielder, and has been at Sochaux since 2004.

Though born in France, Boudebouz  has Algerian parents,  and after playing for the French Youth sides at U17 ans U19 level, Boudebouz made the choice to play for the country of his parents.

He eventually made his debut for Algeria last year after obtaining an Algerian passport,  and so far has 7 caps for Algeria.

The reports suggest that Liverpool are also interested in the player – well that’s a big surprise. 😀

The player has been in the Sochaux first team since 2008, and has so far played 103 times for the French club with 18 goals.

The 5’9″ midfielder is already an accomplished player, and of course he can  still improve in the next couple  of years.

As well as Newcastle bringing some top players to Newcastle in the summer, we also expect some younger players to be brought to Tyneside.

I haven’t seen Boudebouz play, but it seems the boy is a very skilled midfielder.

Comments welcome.

Ed – One for the future???? You must be kidding. Have you seen this kid in action, I think he makes our whole team look like school kids trying to play real football. Him and Ben Arfa in the same team and I’ll cream my pants! Add in there Adel Taarabt as well and I’ll go mental!!

Sounds like a tidy player, I’d have him. What about this Barnetta bloke, unless I’m mistaken we were linked with him. Scored 2 free kickes, and running the Swiss midfield.

Anytime anyone is after a player, all of a sudden, Liverpool are also interested.
Someone needs to tell them it isn’t the 70s and 80s anymore, and they’re just another Premier club

Gervinho signing appears imminent announcement in Newcastle on Saturday, Sky Sports. Lille striker could join another player in the LOSC, Yoahn Cabaye among the Magpies from this weekend. The Ivorian striker’s agent Lille currently negotiate the final details of his transfer with the leaders of the English team. In operation, the LOSC could pocket 16ME. For the record, Gervinho joined Lille in 2009 paid an average of 6.5 ME at Le Mans.

We’ve got four more weeks before the team is back in training and we need most/all our signings to be in by that time to get the best out of our squad, so we should start seeing some transactions very soon, hopefully the two from Lille Cabaye & Gervinho next week, followed by a new striker and obviously we have the Enrique contract that needs sorting and the longer it takes I believe he’s staying put and will sign a new one.

haha not being negative but watch the deal break down because of wages, that would be a bummer but it has been typical of Ashley in the past but here’s to hoping he can pull this off.

And to the person that said sell Enrique and buy Baines…Baines would cost twice what Enrique would, hes older (i think) and hes not as good as Enrique.

Can anyone remember last year when I said we had agreed a deal for cabaye? And he was asking my mate who is part of lilles youth recruitment what the north east was like as he heard he was a Geordie. I remember getting slated not so long ago for that. I now have news that all personal terms are agreed with zogs agent, and gameiro is due for talks Tuesday afternoon, but is also holding talks with psg as they have bid 9 million euros but we have bid 12.5. I don’t know much about the gervinho deal but I really hope he does join, but I’m most excited about the cabaye deal, quality player.
