Supposed Newcastle target, Sochaux midfielder Ryad Boudebouz, is said to be disgusted that his coach Francis Gillot may soon leave the French club.
Ryad Boudebouz – disgusted coach may leave
Over the weekend, both Newcastle and Liverpool were linked with the 21 year-old French born midfielder of Algerian parents.
Sochaux finished a decent 6th place on 58 points in the French League last season, just two points behind 4th placed PSG, and the youngster says he may even have to consider his future, if the coach does in fact leave.
The rumor is that French club Bordeaux are ready to offer Gillot the manager position.
This is what the Algerian International told the French Daily L’Equipe today:
“I am disgusted. He is a coach who could build a young group. He knew how to talk to the young players.”
“I hope everyone will remain at the club next term, otherwise we will lose matches and I don’t want to experience that.”
“I feel fine at Sochaux but if I have good opportunities, we will think about them.”
Ryad has been in the Sochaux first team since 2008, and has so far played 103 times for the French club with 18 goals, and last season he fired in 8 goals, and helped Sochaux qualify for the Europa League.
The 5’9″ midfielder is already an accomplished player, and of course can still improve over the next couple of years.
He has 5 caps so far for Algeria, after playing for the French U17 and U19 sides.
