£12M For N’Zogbia – Better Value Elsewhere

The news today is that Newcastle have been quoted a fee from Wigan of £12M for for former Magpie winger Charles N’Zogbia.

Charles N’Zogbia – is he worth £12M?

Wigan have a bit of a cheek, and we’re not sure if it’s even legal – but they have said they will sell Charles for £9M to a club playing in the Champions League next season, but for other clubs they will sell him for £12M – how can that be legal?

So if the richest clubs come around,  they can get him for £9M, but the poorer clubs will have to cough up £12M – what’s wrong with this picture?

Well, if that’s the case we should probably cross Charles off the list, because Newcastle should be able to get better value elsewhere for £12M.

But surely Wigan cannot do this from a legal standpoint?

The Newcastle Journal is reporting that Newcastle have not been put off by the fee or his wage demands of around £55K/week.

But surely they should be, and there’s always a question regarding Charles as a team player, as in the last eighteen months on Tyneside, he was a problem child.

We think £10M is the maximum Newcastle should pay for N’Zogbia to return to Newcastle, what do you think?

Comments welcome.

He’s their player, legally they can set whatever price they want. It’s not legal discrimination.

It’s Whelan and Ashley playing games.

Ashley’s bid for N’Zogbia ten minutes before the window closed in January was just so Ashley could gloat about the 35million from AC.

£12m is to much for him as is the quoted £20m for Long of Reading if we are going to spend that much it will be on much better players.

No more than 7M. Better players available for cheaper prices overseas.

Menez, Martin, Dzudsaks, Wijnaldum. There’s 4 players who are better than him for a similar, probably cheaper outlay.

I would offer them the £9M they originally quoted and see what they say.

If they say no, then I would look elsewhere…

    Bargains…

Leeds – Max Gradel, Jonathan Howson.
    West Ham – Mark Noble.
    Birmingham – Jean Beausejour.

Where else do you think you can find premier league proven, young, not injury prone, with passing and finishing ability players? Anyone who keeps thinking we should always go for players with 4-7M are pretty much brain washed by our eloved fat c unfortunately I can say.

Ah, fair one. Wey he’s obviously not going to get anywhere near that.

Plus Long is going to want to leave this summer after getting linked with prem teams. He’ll go for around £5m.

What better players are you refering to? N’Zogbia has became a much better player since he left us. His finishing skill is probably better than anyof our current players and he can do long shots. He can play at similar level to Martins and is still improving. If we miss Gervinho then he’s probably the best deal out there.

10M is a bit steep already. We can find much better and much cheaper than this fool.

Boudebouz, Marvin Martin, Max Gradel, Taarabt, Adam Johnson, etc.

Wijnaldum?? WHO??? That good no frigga has heard of him umless they paly FM….which by the way folks is NOT real!!!

My point is, Love him or hate him, N’Zog is proven premiership class………and IMO there is no one else available who is!!!

I would have him before Gervinho (O shit, dragged into that boring debate now) or Gameiro tbh……
