Classy Yohan Cabaye Having Medical At Newcastle

Yohan Cabaye is due on Tyneside right now, and  having a medical and will them sign on to become Newcastle’s first capture this summer.

Yohan Cabaye – looks like an excellent acquisition

Newcastle are paying €5M (around £4.5M) for the player, and that’s because there is a release clause in the player’s contract  at Lille.

And the news today is that the 25 year-old will be offered a 5 year deal at Newcastle for £30K/week, which is a fairly reasonable wage for these times – but good value for Newcastle.

Yohan picked up his 4th French cap last night when France beat Poland 1-0, and in seven seasons at Lille the 5’9″ box to box central midfielder appeared 253 times and scored 39 goals for the current French Champions, and he looks a very good player.

He seems like an excellent acquisition for the club, but it’s always hard to judge how well a player will perform in the top league in the world.

Yohan played for all the French youth sides (U16, U18, U19, U20 and U21), and had 15 caps at U21 level, so he seems to have an excellent pedigree, and getting him for 5M is a great deal by Newcastle.

We just have to hope two things happen – one is that more good players like Yohan come through the door.

And the seocnd thing, that’s just as important, is that Newcastle can also keep players like Kevin Nolan and Joey Barton on Tyneside – and if that happens Newcastle could well have an excellent squad come September.

Howay The Lads!!

Haha, the Brazilian wonderkid! Shanio Longionho!

I wouldnt mind shane long like. Not Ba though, one knock could bugger him for months and he’s after £4m signing on fee and around £65k a week wages.

This guy looks a great little player and im hoping with him tiote, ben arfa, guti and the addition of a new striker will will play a bit more a attractive passing game.
As far as nolan goes,if someone offered 6m i would take it,i know he’s a great influence on the team but he’s 28 and no spring chicken and also on a huge wage,we really need to get these high earner of the books.
Now lets go for sturridge and adam johnson even though johnson can only be a dream.

As another striking option, I think we should into Welliton from Spartak Moscow. Seriously good forward, might cost £12M + though,

No flights into Newcastle from Warsaw today.

    Only Polish flights are:

    LS354 19:40 KRAKOW

He could also be coming in via Heathrow!?

Happy if Gervinho comes but not gutted if he doesnt,he blows hot and cold all the time and the last thing we want is another laurent robert who we knew had the abbility but too many times didnt look interested.

6 flights from Warsaw already landed at Heathrow.

10 flights from Warsaw scheduled at Heathrow this afternoon.

I would say he is in the UK already, possibly on one of these:

    BA1326 11:05 LONDON HEATHROW LANDING AT 10:56
    BA1332 12:50 LONDON HEATHROW

On a seperate note, if barca are interested in Enrique couldn’t we do a deal including Bojan as he is surplus to requirements at Barca. Looking forward to seeing cabaye in black and white.

Great capture. All we need now is two solid strikers. Carlton Cole and Shane Long would be fantastic. Along with hoillett and Nzogbia. And the only place left to strengthen is another left back when enrique leaves. Back up for our first choice Neil Taylor.
