Some of the inside information surrounding Newcastle’s capture of Yohan Cabaye are coming to light.
Charles N’Zogbia – recommended Newcastle to Yohan
Charles N’Zogbia and former center-back David Rozehnal, who signed back in 2007 from PSG, both recommended Newcastle to the Frenchman, and he has also revealed he watched some videos of Newcastle, including their 5-1 walloping of Sunderland last year.
Well, that would have done the trick.
This is what Cabaye said through interpreters after he signed last night:
“I spoke to Charles N’Zogbia and David Rozehnal before joining Newcastle. They both said it was a good choice to come to Newcastle,”
“They said I would have a great time, especially with the fans.” “And those fans appear special. Before signing for Newcastle, I watched some videos on the internet, and particularly the game against Sunderland when Newcastle won 5-1.”
“I could see there was a great atmosphere in the stadium, and I really want to see what it’s like to play at St James’ Park and in the Premier League.”
“I’m very excited about playing at St James’ Park, now I hope I can adapt quickly to the Premier League.” “I hope I can excite the fans here with my football, and I would love to score for Newcastle and see the reaction of the supporters at St James’ Park.”
“But first I must adapt to the football and the city, and get to know my team-mates.” “I also have to adapt to the style of play in England, as it’s very different to France. This is the first time I have moved from my home region, and I want to be ready for the new season.”
There’s constant news about N’Zogbia wanting to return to Newcastle, but we wonder what may happen if Arsenal go after the 25 year-old talented winger?
And Newcastle will hardly want to pay an inflated £12M for the lad from Wigan, when other clubs are being offered the player for £3M less than that.
There’s not doubt that Yohan Cabaye is a very good technical player, and Charles N’Zogbia would be another very good signing for Newcastle, and would add some much needed flair to the side.
In our vote on the home page, 47% think N’Zogbia is not worth £12M, and 46% think he is – with 7% undecided.
What do you think?

Comment #82look we as fans want good players at this club but most importantly we want players who want to play for newcastle united zoggy fits into both of those categories i would rather pay 12m for a player with proven quality at prem league level and one who will settle cause he knows the area and seems keen to come back to it then pay 10m for a player whos only coming cause hes not wanted by anyone else I FOR ONE DONT SEE WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT SIGN THE LAD UP AND SIGN HIM UP NOW PLEASE.

Comment #88If we sell Enrique 10 mill, Barton 5 mill, Nolan 5 mill and Forster 5 mill we would have 60 mill to spend in summer.
Then we buy Sturridge 15 mill, N’Zogbia 10 mill, Neil Taylor 1mill, Charlie Adam 5 mill, Gervinho 15 mill, Demba Ba 3 mill, M’Bengue 7 mill, Max Gradel 3 mill
Wow we are gonna win the league!!!

Comment #106Can we get this ‘bad attitude’ rep of N’Zogbia sorted out?
First was ineligible to play when we first got him and he stewed his heels without a fuss until the legal wrangle with L’Havre was sorted out.
Then he spent most of his time playing left-back because once again in our recent history, we under-rated the full-back position and he had to play out of position, mostly for Sir Bobby and mostly without a squabble. He did a decent job, too, for an attacking midfielder. That was the bulk of his Newcastle career.
The lad never smiles and his puss is naturally a bit sour-looking. So what? I don’t care if he looks like Freddy Kruger or Mr. Angry. He gets on with his job and plays for the team.
And as far as his relations with team-mates goes, he had a couple of fallings-out with 6’4″ Andy Carroll and by all accounts, Carroll was none too keen to resume hostilities. Well Carroll is clearly not hard to fall out with and hats off to Charles for taking no crap from the big fella.
Finally, he is insulted, on TV, by the worst manager we’ve had since Dinnis in a stupid, pointless and unprofessional public display. And some of you were glad to see the back of the player????
And lo and behold, he goes to a little club with a manager who believes in playing football the right way and N’Zog shines in an attacking midfielder role. What a shocker!
Howway hyem to newcastle, Chazza, and divvent mind them knuckle-draggers.

Well if Spurs are the only one that have put in a bid then we still have time
Forster is a bargain for 5 mill, young english and already had two seasons of first team football
Ba is a free, i just did that to satisfie WWJBD 😉
Take 3 mill from Ba put it into the Adam fund then get him for 8 mill
P.S
I dont actually think this will happen its just me getting carried away 🙂

Generaly, i talk to you of French players, but this time, it’s me who want some information about an english one.
I have several time heard of Daniel Sturridge on this blog. What is he worth for, is he a pure striker, did NUFC got a chance to sign him, for what price?…

Claiming Gervinho has signed is a big claim but you were right on Ben Arfa so i`ll deffo be giving you the benefit of the doubt.
