Dealing With Multiple Gervinho Agents A Problem

The Sunday Sun has revealed today, it’s very difficult to deal with Gervinho, because he has multiple agents.

Gervinho – multiple agents representing him

But the local paper is reporting that Newcastle have not given up on Gervinho, although they have definitely lost out on Kevin Gameiro, who will join PSG.

It even seems that it will be a choice between Charles N’Zogbia and Gervinho, and perhaps N’Zogbia is Newcastle’s number one choice for a fast and skilful winger, and he’s now a proven commodity in the Premier League.

There seems to be nothing straightforward at all about Gervinho’s transfer, and there are a number of clubs still pursuing the African winger/striker.

The Sunday Sun has reported that Newcastle have already been quoted as many as five different prices for the forward, over the last couple of weeks, so we can see it’s a problem.

Multiple agents will be trying to do the deal, so that they get the agent’s fee once he is finally transferred, but it seems a complete mess at the moment, and is likely delaying any move by the player.

Apparently there have been no negotiations that have taken place yet with Lille and Newcastle, and the deal made for Cabaye with Lille was apparently exactly the opposite – simple and straight forward.

It’s also not surprising that Newcastle are concerned about potential African Nations Cup commitments in January, because they already have Cheick Tiote, who will be  missing in Jnauary, and have reported interest in two other African stars – Demba Ba and Gervinho.

So the news is that Newcastle are still in for Gervinho, but maybe if they can get Charles N’Zogbia back on Tyneside, that will end their interest in Gervinho?

We shall see.

I agree N’Zogbia over Gervinho. He will also cost less than Gervinho which means more money to spend on a striker.

Erm, we have about 25M left to spend. Gervinho AND N’zogbia make 20M + Wages = about 21.5M. Get rid of Routledge (1.5M), Perch (1M), Xisco (Whatever we can get) and we STILL have spending money.

Why go for one or the other, if we are to move ourselves up the table we need to sign such quality players.

@Nufc_mo – Apparently Ashley is giving Pardew 30 out of the 35M as spending money. The other 5 to go into Ashleys back pocket…

Think we have a little more then 25 million left mate. Also, N’Zogbia is a left winger and Gervinho is a right winger. We need both so why one or the other?

NEWS I HAVE JUST FOUND OUT before the England vs Switzerland game Newcastle has a bid of £8mil rejected by FC Basel for Xherdan Shaqiri, they have been watching him for a while and wanted to quickly tie up a deal. Basel want closer to £18mil and wernt prepared to sell him before the under 21 championships which they belive will start a bidding war.

Also Newcastle have bid for Stefan Kießling but i am not sure how much. Both of which i know for a fact!

We don’t have to spend 35 or 40 mil just cos we have it! let’s face it Liverpool paid over the odds for AC cos they panicked when they lost Torres.

But we do need TOP players and getting Tiote and Ben Arfa was proof there are bargains around if you do work properly.

Can’t understand why we were told it was –
Gameiro, striker or Gervinho, right winger
now it’s N’Zogbia, left winger, or Gervinho, right winger???????
Usually your targets are either or in the same position???????

We have jonas too play on the right, without having to just cross the ball in all the time he is a very good player. Also Gervinho isn`t defensive minded and will leave simmo more exposed then Barton did.

N`Zogbia for me does everything and saw only Messi completed more dribbles in the world, thats impressive.

I’m fed up of hearing/reading this blokes name. I don’t care if he has 1 or 100 agents if he wants to come to us all he has to say is “fix it”. His agents work for him, not the other way. He hasn’t, he doesn’t. Next please!

Well whatever, we’ve got 25 – 30M from the Carroll transfer to spend. I hope Pardews got his scouts out at the Under 21 Euro Championships, sure to be some talents there. Even if we don’t get them in summer, bid in January window.

    @Boater.

1.Henderson is English. Young English Talent is overpriced. If Henderson wasnt English he wouldnt even be worth 10mill.

    2. Shaqiri is not as prolific a goalscorer as Gameiro and Gervinho. Newcastle were only prepared to offer up to 12mill for Gervinho.

What makes you think Mike Cashley would spend 18mill on one player?

We need one top, proven goalscorer, plus Ba and at least 2 defenders then we’re in good shape. Keep Barton and Nolan for another year and then get what you can for him.

If this happens I go on me holidays happy! Howay the Lads 🙂

very reliable source mate, i think its a case of what they want not so much what they are going to get, i want £5mil for my house but i am not going to get it. Basel would be crazy selling him before the Under 21’s tho they want a bidding war for him and may end up getting it.

I have heard this is what we are doing putting bids in at our valuation with no negotiations e.g gamiro and its a take it or leave it and think its quite sensible but there is defiantly a bid on the table for Stefan Kießling

To many cooks spoil the broth, time to move on from Gervinho. To many people involved(agents) so the kid can not make his mind up because of that. They are all thinking of filling their own pockets and have regard for nothing else. Vultures lol. That is how i see it but i may be totally wrong.
