Neil Taylor Could Arrive At Newcastle Early Next Week

Newcastle could sign 22 year-old Swansea left-back Neil Taylor, within the next few days.

Neil Taylor – could be signed next week

And it’s really surprising that Jose Enrique has still not told the club what his intentions are this summer, and that seems a little strange.

Bur Neil Taylor will be brought in whether or not Jose leaves Newcastle, and it looks to us that Jose is probably just waiting to see which club(s)  may come in for him this summer.

Liverpool seem to be looking elsewhere for a cheaper alternative to Enrique, since they seem to have been turned off by Newcastle’s valuation of Enrique, which we believe is around £8M.

Newcastle offered £1M for Neil Taylor last week, and the player himself asked his club Swansea if he could speak with Newcastle, and permission was granted by the Welsh club, and that meeting will likely happen early next week.

Neil is expected back soon from his Spanish vacation, and the news today is that Taylor is already more than keen to come to Newcastle, and even though Swansea would like other clubs to get involved to drive up the price of the player, that’s not likely to happen.

And Swansea boss boss Brendan Rogers seemed to open the way for Neil to leave, when he said last Friday:

“There will be no player at this club who does not want to be here.”

“If a player decides they want to speak to another club, they can go, it’s as simple as that.”

“I’m only interested in those who want to play for Swansea.”

Yohan Cabaye and Neil Taylor for a total of around £5.5M seems good business to us, and the next one after Neil who could arrive on Tyneside is Demba Ba – if he can pass a medical on that knee of his.

And since he is a free agent – Newcastle could get Cabaye, Taylor and Demba Ba for a total of around £6M, assuming a £500K signing-on fee for the Senegal striker  and his  agent.

Comments welcome.

Good business and fits perfectly to the supposed Ashley model. Be great to have a bit of solid back up at lb. Hopefully Jose will stay also

It is a fake, here is proof.

The picture that claims it is Gervinho- http://yfrog.com/z/h8we5ruj

    The real picture- http://www.nufc.co.uk/javaImages/c3/3a/0,,10278~9452227,00.jpg

He just put Gervinho’s head on Tiote’s body. Horrid photoshopping.

Did cwarr07 put that photo up? If he did, he loses any credibility he ever had, if he had any credibility in the first place.

The striker were trying to buy is from PSG ( don’t know his name but he is turkish 😛 ) and scored 10 goals this season or something…

But overall he isn’t bad as he is quick and has an average of 1 goal in 3 games. ( counting every pro game )

    we will bid 7 million

Sources well lets just say i have a gut felling and if i’m wrong i will not deny it but this is who i think it is

1 thing is for sure its not Sow

I can see that Mike Ashley´s policy is to bring in average players, pay a reasonable price and see if they can do a good job at the club. We are not fool and we all know that with these players Newcastle United will fight to survive in the Premier League once again and I hope that we shall finish top 12 next season. Newcastle United will not challenge teams like:Arsenal,Tottenham,Liverpool,Manchester City,MUFC and Chelsea. Bolton and Everton will spend more money and will bring in more quality players. If Nolan,Barton and Enrique stay at the club to play next season then things will be a little easier for us.

@jackbutler – It’s easy to score points on here by knocking the current strikers we have. To me it’s a bit low and cheap of you if I’m honest. Shola, Best and Loven have all scored 7 each and all helped us get points towards safety; in shola’s case through a painful injury.

We all want to see new faces coming in, although it’s easy to take the contributions of our current lot for granted. Erdinc, just as an e.g. got 10 goals last season – in an inferior league, can’t see how that’s anything to sing and shout about. What say our new strikers don’t come good right away? I’d feel better knowing we have players on standby who have proven they can step in and help to earn us points. But then, that’s just me.

@marcos – Colo, Enrique(if he stays) Tiote, Jonas, HBA, Gosling, Cabaye, Barton, Nolan.

    Potentially N’zogbia, Gervinho.

I’ve named quite a few players there and not one of them are average.

    Jog on you sour b@stard.

If we keep Enrique, atleast for the upcoming season and we “Nail” Taylor 😉
Maybe Naylor could learn something valuable from one of the best left backs in the world, supposedly.
    It’s a win win imo.

I’ve watched Strolla for his entire carrier at NUFC, the guy promised so much when he first broke into the first team, but has never reached his true potential. Don’t know weather he is just too comfortable being with us or whatever it is, if we want to move forward as a club he simply is not good enough. Yes he’s been loyal, but he would never get a move to a club as big as NUFC, as for Loven, I really like the guy, he works hard every time he playes, but does not score enough goals.
I’m not taking a cheap shot or trying to score points on here by knocking either of these players, I simply do not think that they are good enough if we want to move forward and push up the league.
    Its just my opinion

mevlut erdinc was class at sochaux and class in his first season at psg but last season seems to have stalled. i asked a french football writer about him and he told me he and gameiro are very similar, but gameiro is a different class. he also said he doesn’t think mevlut will be hanging around psg now they have gameiro.

does anyone think neil taylor looks slightly like enrique in that picture? ha ha

hmm maybe i was wrong lol mevlut cost psg 9million and seen so he still has 2 years left i can’t see them selling him for 7 million 😛 so who else could it be

Hope its someone quick cause ba is a long kinda guy so if we have someone quick who can play off him we could easily reach top 10 next season

defence – ok ( some bad slip ups costing bad goals )

midfield ( attacking wise great with cabaye and arfa and for defense Tiote)

strikers: if we get good a long dude and a quick one who can strike a partner ship we will be sound ( best to back up )
