Alan Pardew In A Difficult Position At Newcastle

We often think what Alan Pardew really thinks of the situation at Newcastle at the moment.

Alan Pardew – difficult position right now for the manager

We think Alan is a good man, and he seems a much better manager than we gave him credit for last December.

But he’s now been publicly undermined by Mike Ashley on two separate occasions at least since he arrived last December, which was another difficult situation, after Ashley had fired Chris Hughton for no apparent good reason.

The two occasions Alan has been undermined are  the selling of Andy Carroll and the departure of Kevin Nolan yesterday to West Ham.

In both cases Alan made it clear he wanted to keep both players, but Ashley and Llambias did what they thought was best, which happened to be the opposite of  what Pardew wanted.

But that doesn’t stop Alan from being the naturally positive and confident person he is, and again he’s looking on the bright side of things, and hopes to sign both Demba Ba and possibly Neil Taylor this week, and hopefully will get the club moving forward again.

Alan is not responsible for contracts at the club, so when Newcastle cannot agree a deal with a player, there’s not too much he can do about it, and he doesn’t have too much influence with things either.

Alan Pardew is in a difficult position, because he’s the mouthpiece for the club, since Mike Ashley and Derek LLambias never say anything to the fans, so it’s always left to Pardew to explain what happens.

And even when Alan arrived after Chris Hughton had been fired, it was Alan himself who had to answer questions from the media on why Chris was sacked,  a situation Ashley and LLambias should never have allowed the new manager to be in.

The situation Alan found himself in during that first press conference was woeful, but he handled himself very well, under the rather trying circumstances.

Where was Derek Llambias for that press conference – is a very good question to ask.

Alan is indeed in a difficult position at the moment, and we would have to hope there’s more pulling in the same direction from  owner Ashley, Managing Director Llambias and manager Pardew in the future.

Sad that Kevin left but if Pardew didnt plan to play him in a prefered starting 11 then the board maybe felt that he would be a exepensive backup player and shipped him out.

Great player, great leader, great character but we might get an faster game at St James Park.

I quite like Pardew’s attitude when he does speak. Didn’t think I would, as always thought he was a bit of a ‘grey man’. I will reserve judgement until after the transfer window and next full season.

pardew had us playing some good passing footbal at times last season. TS77 thats my point in all nolan isnt going to get much playing time next season and to sit on the bench at 50k a week just isnt worth it. plus we might not be able to get rid of smith so well be stuck with his 60k a week till next summer i hope not but think hes staying. if we had good players with pace couple of quality strikers we potentialy could have a quality team.
    Krul

    K.Walker Colo Saylor Warnock

    Tiote Matuidi

    Barnetta Ben Arfa N’Zogbia

    Ba

    Harper
    N Taylor
    Hoilett
    Jarvis
    Gosling
    Erling
    another new striker
    Williamson

ive only put barnetta in team as it looks like hes signing personally i think buying hoilett and jarvis would be better

    Yeah Jack spot on.

Tell you what I think is off. Releasing those new shirts and weighting them price wise and getting names on them gets people a Cat ‘c’ ticket for £25 and then flog half your players. Shocking. There’ll be a lot of people who bought Nolan shirts (in particular) disappointed. Or am I wrong?

Someone explain it to me: why dont we (havnt we) just released Alan Smith. If no ones gonna buy him, its certainly got to be better than paying his wages for nothing. unless there’s a large release clause…

    OK ook….

    either A:

We are about to bring in a troop pf players( wich I doubt knowing the scum that run our club)

    or B:

We are over selling wich could be the case and we should be worried.

I am puzzled… say example 3rd game in just like ben Arfa bam goes Dem ba’s leg owww look no striker lets look at bench ow wait a minute no Best…. lets put? Who now? I rate Loven good he is staying but he is getting old now…

He has been brought in because he is a yes man who will agree to everything Ashley says
