News in the Sunday Sun today that French club PSG have priced Mevlüt Erdinç, their Turkish striker, at £10M, and he may not be worth that.
Neil Taylor – next through the door
But the news is that Erdinc is still keen to talk to Newcastle about a move, but first things first, and a fee must be agreed between the two clubs, before the player can talk to Newcastle.
Well, that’s the way it’s supposed to work in any case.
Newcastle are unlikely to rush in for Erdinc at that price, because they are not fools in the transfer market these days.
The Sunday Sun is reporting Newcastle have a five man list of targets that includes Swiss international Tranquillo Barnetta, Erdinc, Swansea left-back Neil Taylor and Saint-Étienne defensive midfielder Blaise Matuidi.
And the next through the door could be Neil Taylor for a cool £1M, and the news is he could be confirmed within the next couple of days.
We’re not sure who the 5th player is, but we would have thought it was N’Zogbia or even Adel Taarabt of QPR.
The Sunday Sun is reporting Newcastle are no longer interested in the Wigan winger, and apparently Daniel Sturridge of Chelsea is not a target.
🙁
We still could see Charles coming through the door at Newcastle, as we think there are games going on between Newcastle and Wigan regarding the fee Wigan want for the French International.
It’s said now to be £10M, but Newcastle may want a better deal than that.
What do you think?

Comment #10Epic fail for that prick cheick and bake!
Contribute or don’t post anything.
I still go back to the way we do most of our transfer deals (Tiote and Marveaux) no one had a clue! Hence the Sunday Sun is probably over 50% wrong!
Erding and Taylor are probably right because of direct pardrew quotes.

Comment #13Downing is going to cost alot like, purely because Liverfool are stupid enough to get mugged by a 3rd club this year.
If its true that Aaron Lennon has fell out of favour with Dirty ‘Arry I think we should put a cheeky bid in for him.

Comment #16We should just pay the 20 million asking price for Daniel Sturridge! A better player than Carroll and we could get him for 15 million less than we sold the traitor for!
My team for next year..
—————–Krul
Simpson–Saylor–Coloccini–Enrique
——————————————
———Tiote——-Cabaye
Gutierrez——————–Marveux
————–Ben Arfa
————–Sturridge
That would be one hell of a team, and one definitely worthy of a place in Europe!

Comment #19We Have bought great players so far
Cabaye—Ba—-Marveuax—Ntaylor(most likely) ….this is good but the problem is with all these new players they will take time to gel together there are no combinations here like (jose/jonas) or forward partners

Comment #20Anyone who states Jonas is a right Winger , You are wrong wrong wrong !!!!!!!!
He is right footed yes , however this lad has never played right wing for Mallorca, Newcastle or Argentina eva eva eva
We need to sign a RW this close season , stop putting players into your teams when its not their position. Souness did that all the time and look what happened………
Plus if we do sign Matuidi Then Tiote off as well for me, we would not spend that sort of money on a player who may sit on the bench as we have Cabaye and Tiote already for CM, cant see one of them sitting on the bench regardless of strength in depth

Comment #26Has anyone at Chelsea said that Sturridge has a 20m price?
It’s just speculation. Spurs are not willing to sell Modric “at any price”, which really translates to “unless the offer is absolutely ridiculously stupid”. But Chelsea could just as easily put the same condition on Sturridge. He’s good but I still don’t think we should pay stupid money for him. It would be… well… stupid.

Comment #27Last week or the week before the sunday sun claimed we were not interested in signing demba ba, this week we signed him. They get stuff wrong just like everyone else, i think nzog will be a newcastle player by the time pre season starts. He put on his personal twitter page what a good midfield ben arfa cabaye and him would be so he obv wants to return.

Comment #29That Erdinc fella looks more trouble than he’s worth really. I mean, his good form might return after a confidence boost, but 9 in 34 isn’t all that impressive. Surely there are other, better french speaking strikers.

Comment #38Elpaso… When we were playing with two out and out wingers( jonas and routledge ), jonas would often swap sides when he was getting no joy on the left and He looked better crossing the ball with his right foot, not having to cut in all the time.

Comment #39get a better striker for less than £10m. Erdinc hasn’t proved himself in anyway and is no way worth £10m. A proved and better striker (still young) could cost us less than £10m. Marveaux is very similar to N’Zogbia so i dont think we will go for Zog and Barnetta and Taylor are close to completion whereas the others may be just links and I believe that Pards likes Adel Taarabt even though he is thinking of his future after nufc already, cheeky.

Comment #40rite can a just say all this talk of them all not gelling
cabaye, marveaux, benny, matuidi, mayb either zoggy or menez hav all played together before
ba n ben arfa know each other well
tiote, saylor, simmo, collo will al start next season they have prem experience, not to mention the fact every player we are signing has experience in good sides,, people make 2 much out of them needing to gel together like, why do you think were getting buisness dun early like
plus every1 were signing has top international caps so they are quality
