Enrique Options – Sign New Deal Or Move On

Newcastle will give Jose Enrique two options this summer, either sign the new deal that;s been offered to him at Newcastle,  or move to another club.

Jose Enrqiue – move on or sign new deal at Newcastle

That’s what Newcastle will hope happens this summer, and of course the club’s nightmare scenario is that Jose doesn’t move to a new club this summer,  but he doesn’t sign a new contract either.

We say it’s a nightmare scenario for Newcastle,  but on the other side of the coin, it’s completely within Jose’s rights to do just that.

It could mean Newcastle will lose at least £8M on Jose if that happens, and that’s the same reasoning why we expect Newcastle will want to move out Joey Barton this summer.

That’s so the club can get say £4M for him, and not lose him for nothing next summer.

Yes, we know it’s a big business now, and it’s only going to get better or worse, depending on the view you hold on business and football – if you don’t like it then believe us it’s going to get a lot worse.

The fact that Newcastle may start next season without Nolan, Barton and Enrique was almost unthinkable a short few months ago, but events have conspired that all three could have left come September.

And the more we think of the Kevin Nolan  move to West Ham last week, the more we think he may be regretting making that move so quickly.

Oh well, you cannot say it’ s been a dull transfer window so far, and we’ve had just three weeks of June.

😀

I think Enrique is simply waiting to see who we bring in. Fair enough really when you’re one of the best players in the team that could easily play for a champions league club.

Menez and Taarbt are sharing this bad attitude, Adel if joins is only joining as a stepping stone, For Menez he has disaplinary issues and could flare up at our club its a dangerous thing, but he is talented no doubts bout that.

Matuidi seems more level headed and would welcome our club he seems fine and would work hard thats something your may not get with Menez/Adel

Also with Andre Villas going to Chelsea may see him cash on Sturridge, if he gets over 10M he would use that to buy a striker HE WANTS like Falcao/Hulk etc…

Absolutely cannot stand how Newcastle have become a selling club. Having said that, towards the end of last season it looked like Jose wanted out judging by the way he played…! On the one hand we should cash in now, on the other hand, any money we do get for him will just go to to fat Ashleys pocket so he can buy more burgers and fries for himself!

We all know he is going to go. What will happen is that he will wait until the end of the transfer window and then the club that want him will come in with a tiny offer. Ashley will panic and accept the fee rather than let him go for nothing. Enrique will pick up a bigger signing on fee because of the lower transfer. We will be left with no replacement. CYNICAL yes however this is the way Ashley does business. For what it is worth he will go to Liverpool for 3 millionish in August. I hope I will be proved wrong as he is a great player. Happy with the current signings (creativity/pace/goals) Long may it continue.
    Keep the Faith

A bit, but i feel he only played 3 games for us and didnt get a chance to see the attitude much, But after the shock of maybe him loosing a leg and his career ending THIS WAS the time where his mind has changed for me.

Menez has still got that and at NUFC it could go OR be brough right back up.

Newcastle have not become a selling club. That’s really not a clever thing to say.

We sold one player for 35m, and for some reason, another left for the Championship. Selling to lower leagues doesn’t make us a selling club 😛

i think somewhat..ben arfa will not have much disciplinary problems..after experiencing the concern and care shown by the nufc fans and backroom staff…im sure menez will be aware of as well..since he is fellow french….but i wonder have we been linked to menez..is it possible that we can bid for him?..is he within our reach?..whats the situation of him at roma?
matuidi is a viable option as well..he and tiote and help to protect the backfour..allowing cabaye, ben a rfa, marveauvx or menez(if he comes) to feed and support demba ba/best etc…=goals.

True but we could loose from Jan to Now

    Andy Carrol
    Kevin Nolan
    Campbell
    Kuqi
    Routledge
    Jose Enrique
    Forster or Krul
    Simpson
    Coloccini
    Jonas
    Best
    Ranger
    Barton

ALL these have been linked with moves and once you sell your best player that means EVERYONE is for sale, at a price.

Out of that 13 i see 10 going thats ALOT to get rid of for any club especially one who has the smallest squad size in the EPL (2nd lowest)

GORSK – NO we buy players that will increase in value – nothing about increasing quad numbers or quality – rather a business first and foremost.

What gets me is the ‘fans’ that have bought into this and are still prepared to stump up for overpriced merchandise and tickets – for a team of freebies. The latest was a whole bunch going on about Erdinc no t worth £10M – FFS after getting £35 for Avatar surley they can see the market is overheated – but if you want to compete you have to pay the going rate – Instead we all get excited about Ba – another FatAsh coup – no doubt he was only interseted in him when news broke abouthte contractual clause allowing him to leave for free.

Its statements like this that worry me.
This is NOT a good way to run our football club regardless of what anyone thinks on here:

Newcastle’s other top asset is Tiote, and asked about the prospect of keeping the bargain £3.5 million buy, Pardew said: “I am hoping there are no bids, otherwise we will have a problem. He is a very important player, very talented and someone we will embrace to be a big part of our future.”

Granted this was a while ago, but just shows the mentality currently being bandied at our football club!

So because we received £35 mil for Carroll we must now just pay anything a club wants for their players? Come on, if they dont think a player is worth the asking price then they will move on to the next player, and so they should. We have had our fingers burnt to many times before. You learn nothing from the Owen purchase???

I respect u r defending a fellow geordie but my comment was not a personal attack it was merely a statement which describes the majority of fans who panic at the first sign of a sale of a player they “like” regardless of there age or ability. We are not a Wigan who cant stop any of there players from leaving to go to any other club in the EPL btu of course we r not a man UTD who can stop there players wanting to leave to almost any team in Europe… Everton for example are a sellign club…. create or buy cheap players then sell for more to sustain the club itself we do not need to do that…Just coz we are cashing in on ageing demanding , undermining money grabbers does not mean we r a selling club

I didnt state anything about the buying type which is Young/Cheap and will sell on possibility.
I mearly put out of the list of people been linked by Papers/Sources i see 10 Leaving which is bad for any team. No team in EPL will get rid of that ammont of players.

Why the hell is everyone so offended by what Adel Taarabt said? He said he wants to play for us and that were a big club just not a Really big club? Well we’re not, ask most people and they’d tell you the top 4 in the prem, Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Inter, AC Milan are really big clubs. We certainly have the fanbase and potential to become one but were not at the minute. Stepping stone you say, if any of the aforementioned clubs came in with a big offer and pay packet for any player in our squad they’d be off in a heartbeat. Yet he lets people know this up front and w’ere outraged, you think other players not stating that yet believing it themselves is any better?

This is the sort of Ultimatum that should of been given to all the players who, are negotioating new contracts, or coming to the end of their present deals, about six months ago!

Its pretty clear to me though that Pardew is being handled by the club in a similar fashion to how Keegan was! Which ultimately ended up right or wrong in Keegen walking away! Pardew has little or no influence about who is bought or sold!
Nolan did,t understand that either, and can,t blame Pardew for his sale, which seems to be the case.

Ashley wants to run the club on a very tight budget, and is not worried about how the supporters react to some of his weird decisions! I hope they know what the F…. there doing?

    Kyle Walker
Ryan Bertrand (A LB who is average not sure if he is better than Simpson)
Sebastian Corchia In Ligue 2 at Le Mans would be quite cheap and is a decent player.

Adel thinks Chelsea and Arsenal both want him.

Fact of the matter is Pardew has said we are a selling club!! Do you 2 know better than him?? eh

If you do, can you get out and spend some cash on players other than injury risks, as you are obviously both in the know, more in fact than the manager!!

And YES I agree with Toonace, toon king, we ar indeed a selling club! Carroll, Milner, Given, NZog to name but a few……old has beens?

Gorsk – not hetting at u – as for Otterspockets – we got £35m because thats what the market dictated – now we are need of a replacement and teams know we have cash ….. doesnt take a genius to see what happens – Im not saying its right – rather the way football has gone.
Now otter if you are happy for Fatash to repace £35M forward with a freebie thats fine – but I think we will be relagation fodder and not pressing onto the next level. Who is next out the door?? Tiote, Barton, Guti and Colo have all been linked with other teams lately – but off course Otter we will get top money for these and replace them with crocks and freebies – ru FatAsh in disguise?
