Neil Taylor Saga – He May Have To Ask For Transfer

Let’s hope this Neil Taylor saga doesn’t stretch out too far.

Neil Taylor – put in a transfer request?

We have the Jose Enrique saga still going on,  and that’s been going for almost six months now, with Jose still not coming out and saying if he wants to stay at Newcastle or leave the club.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that indeed there is an argument between Newcastle and Swansea,  on what the release clause in Taylor’s contract really means.

Newcastle say they can sign the left back for £1M, while Swansea are saying the clause  only allows another club to talk terms with the player, but it doesn’t set the transfer fee – but that’s an odd take on a release clause.

The Mirror is reporting late tonight that the issue could be resolved by Neil Taylor putting in a transfer request, to force through the £1M switch to Newcastle United.

Why that’s the case we are not exactly sure,  unless it forces Taylor’s hand, and he will not get any payments from Swansea for moving, since he will have specifically asked for the move.

The Swansea left-back was all ready to sign for Newcastle, and the Magpies launched their £1M bid this morning, but Swansea blocked the deal immediately, by turning the bid down.

We thought this would lead Newcastle to get a reading on what Neil’s contract really says, and that may still happen.

And of course Taylor also has the right to seek legal advice on what he should do now.

Who said football was simple these days?

We don’t think this will continue for too long – we hope this will not continue for too long.

Comments welcome.

Ed that is angel rangel again i think. I still think he’ll be a NUFC player soon as he wants it, his agent wants it and we want it. Think we’ll still only have to pay £1m for him as well

I just have to add a major future prospect which could come for decent price.
Anthony Ujah plays in Norway, in the top league. His team, Lillestrom, has currently played 12 matches, and the man has scored 13 goals.
U can probably compare the Elite division in Norway to championship in England.
He’s 21 years old, and from Nigeria. But i’ve got to say, i havent seen the likes of him in years in the Norwegian league.
Deffo worth a try, and quoted for £2,3 million, which is not bad tbh.
Thought i’d give it a shout.
12 matches, 13 goals, that’d be pretty good if it was the Championship.

Aye, he bagged a brace against us, but i cant recall him doing any spitting towards us.
He spat against Liverpool, Celtic and on a Portsmouth player, and told a ball boy to F. Off.
Thats all i can remember from him.

Been calling for Ujah for ages, such a great little player also id like to add:

Nosa Igiebor, Plays AMC and loves to shoot most his goals are from outside the box, he reminds me say like Gibson but someone who can shoot ON TARGET unlike Gib.

Nosa is also 20 years of age and Nigerian much like Ujah

“Diouf is a big fan of spitting. In 2003 he spat at Celtic supporters in the stands. In 2004 he moved on to Middlesbrough fans, later that same year he spat at Portsmouth player Arjan de Zeeuw. You can probably see a pattern developing here.”

    No mention of NUFC yet.

About his brace (match report) against us:

“as a series of snide dives and inflammatory over-celebrations in front of the Newcastle fans – the player also had to be restrained from an tunnel altercation following his substitution……”

the guy walked the length of the pitch after he had been sent off at celtic park, straight down to the rangers fans.
he was getting dogs abuse, took his shirt off and threw it into the rangers fans.

now if barton done that against the mackems.
all our fans would think it was brilliant!!
