As well as Newcastle bringing in new players this summer, Newcastle fans will be hoping that one or two Newcastle youngsters will come through next season.
Haris Vuckic – can this lad come through next season?
Of course 19 year-old Shane Ferguson was just great this year, when came on to deputize for the injured Jose Enrique, and Ferguson was Man of the Match on at least two occasions for Newcastle last season.
The Irishman showed he’s not only very skillful, but hardly ever gives the ball away, and the boyish looking player looks to be a tremendous future prospect for the Magpies.
Newcastle have other top youngsters who could come through next season, and they include Slovenian U21 International Haris Vuckic, once capped Hungarian International Tamas Kadar, James Tavernier and Sammy Ameobi, Shola’s younger brother, as the most likely to shine next season, along with Shane Ferguson of course.
Alan Pardew knows part of his job is to bring through the Newcastle youngsters, and he is likely to send quite a few of them out on loan next season, as he wants them to play regularly, but exactly who they will turn out to be, we don’t know at this point.
Alan Pardew talked about the youngsters today:
“It’s massive for them. They’ve got to make a breakthrough if not this year then the following season.”
“They’ve positioned themselves well and the pre-season will be important for them to knock on the door, and we’ll see what happens.”
The Youth system at Newcastle seems to be working quite well, and we still expect some top youngsters to be brought to Tyneside.
They will join top French U18 International midfielder, Mehdi Abeid, who has already arrived this season, as a free agent from Lens.
