Pardew Anxious To Show Fans Newcastle’s New Wares

Newcastle’s players return to pre-season training today, after a short six weeks off since they played their last game of the seaosn against WBA on May 22nd.

Alan Pardew – planned program includes lots of football

It’s very important the players do get that six weeks break, because they will now be playing thought the end of May next year – so football is almost becoming a year long sport.

Alan Pardew and the coaches have prepared a day by day training schedule to ease the players back to full fitness, before they embark on their American tour in a couple of weeks.

This is what Alan had to say about the pre-season training:

“Pre-season is a planned program which will involve the balls and a lot of football,” “It will all be designed to gear ourselves up for that first competitive 11-a-side against Arsenal in six weeks time.”

“I can’t wait. I’m sure the Newcastle fans will be bored of the cricket and tennis by now, and will be desperate for us to get back into action and show them our new wares.”

“If they can’t get out to America for our pre-season tour – where it would be nice to see them – then I look forward to seeing them at the games over here.”

The four new players Newcastle have acquired this summer so far  – Sylvain Marveaux, Demba Ba, Yohan Cabaye and 18 year-old Mehdi Abeid, will all be meeting their new team-mates this morning, and we all await the first pictures coming out today, as the lads resume their training.

otherwise, without a marque signing the peasants will be revolting and all will not be happy with Pards, ashley & co.

It hasn’t escaped us you haven’t spent a penny, though Pardew. And the Carroll money isn’t touched.
We need another 2 players MINIMUM
And decent ones too. Not free transfers.

Phil K – I agree mate. 100%. We need some proven quality brought in. We need to get some of this 35 million spent. it has not been touched yet. 2 good centre forwards proven is minimum requirement. I also think we need cover for tioite and possibly another creative midfielder like Diego, who is available. If we let enrique go then the search is on for another left back. I hope he decides to stay.

absolutely don’t mind us signing free players if they are decent quality like Ba and Marveax, trouble is there isn’t too many of them around. Erding and N’zog for a combined £14-16m and we would officially be flying. Can’t be that difficult can it?

I have some relay bad news for those who don’t already know, for those in England & Wales, your ISP has got to block all websites that show premier league football this season, followed by anything that might breach anyone’s copyright, once implemented it will be a pain in the a**e. when it starts I suggest a complaint to your MP.

Zog’s will probably end up at Villa cause they’ll actually put a bid in instead of just “monitoring the situation”. Interesting, another club which uses its earnings from selling playes(Young) on new signings instead of making excuses.

Don’t think Canales would be a great option really, it generally takes spanish lads a season or 2 to settle, by which time he’ll be back in spain. my advice would be stick to french, dutch or Scandinavians for the time being.
