Enrique Likely To See Out Contract At Newcastle

If nobody comes in for Jose Enrique this summer, he will likely see out his contract and become a free agent next summer.

Jose Enrique – free agent next summer?

That’s not a good situation   for the club, and they will try to move the Spanish U21 International on this summer, and if that isn’t successful, they’ll try to move him out in January, so at least they get a transfer fee for him.

But of coure Jose has every right to see out his contract at Newcastle, and we think he will try to do that,  if no club comes in for him.

Not surprisingly  Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is less than happy with the situation, and he said this to say about Jose today:

“He’s made it pretty clear that he still won’t sign a contract and that his future may be elsewhere.”

“I’m not really comfortable with that, but we will have to deal with it and we are still hoping that he signs a contract with us.”

“There has to be doubt over that situation.”

It looked a few months ago that Jose was bound for Liverpool,  but no bid has come in for the player, and Arsenal are not interested because they will not replace the departed Gail Clichy, because 21 year-old Kieran Gibbs looks like a ready made replacement.

Pardew may also be wary of having a player at the club who wants to leave Newcastle, although Jose  been very professional, and always gives his best on the field of play, over the last four years.

It’s a difficult situation for Newcastle,  if they cannot move Jose out this summer.

unless we find a good deal for him, keep him and get the year out of him. it gives the youngins another year to mature before they (potentially) take over starting.

Sell him now!!! Do not let him walk for free next summer.

Accept this first bid and start a bidding war. I’d give the Turkish clubs a call and offer him to them, champions league football you say? Or maybe Olympiakos etc.

Let him stay come next year there might be no clubs wanting him or we could of progressed a great deal and he may of changed his mind.

Come next season the replacement for him can come out of the clubs other money fund

Here’s a newsflash for your guys!!!

San Jose Earthquakes keeper scored from his own Box on WBAs’ Boaz Myhill (which they recently bought).
He shot the ball from his own box, it went over the entire field, bounced once and over Boaz’s head.
    EPIC!
GL with the new season WBA, you might need another keeper tho….

If we sell him now we will get under 10 mil and that wont pay for a left back half as good as jose. Keep him until next year and hope he changes his mind, if not buy mbengue next year when jose leaves for barca( hes that good ). Best left back i have seen in all the time supporting newcastle, one player beat him last year at home and that was sturridge and after that jose marked him out the game. Noone beats him for pace or strength only thing that lets him down is his short passing but even that is above average for a defender.

Why is everyone wanting Jose to f off?! Keep him for a year and buy a new LB next year wheres the bad in that?! Ashley can pay for one out of his own pocket ffs

All Jose wants is to be at the top of the game why is everyone slashing the lad for that

@ archaeo, i dont follow the itk’s on twitter, just read what people post on here. I dont think any people know whats happenin in the club nowadays until nufc confirm it. I’d like to see jose stay until at least jan, he may change his mind then, if not weve had 6month to find a replacement

Aye, atleast for the coming year we’ll have the best LB in the premiership, unless he finds a club to move him on.
I think the think about Naylor is having Enrique mentor him and then see if Naylor is up to the task of taking over the reigns.
As far as Ferguson is concerenced, he can play both LB and LM, so he’ll have opportunitys aswell.

Then again, if we get a European spot next year, Enrique may decide to stay 🙂

Sell him now, I have never known a player to p!ss our club around like he has. If he wants to f@ck off let him go and he will get found out that he is not that good when he has not got jonas to play in front of him and cover him.

Exactly. Fair enough if a club comes in for him with a good offer then yeah sell him but we should NOT be pushing him out of the club.

Ashley isnt short of cash so he can pay for a new LB next year if we havent convinced Jose to sign a new contract by that time

howay Tony he hasent p!ssed the club around he has told them exactly what he wants to do. He wanted proof before he signed up after his manager and friend was shifted out of the club

Then bigger clubs with better football started sniffing round him so why shouldnt he wait and see what happens. Your just on a negative one tonight arent ya haha
