News today linking Newcastle with 19 year-old Bournemouth striker Danny Ings.
Danny Ings – Newcastle interested in 19 year old
Newcastle were first linked with the player back in January, and news today that Bournemouth have offered the teeenager another new contract.
It’s said to be the fifth time they have tried to get the striker to sign a new deal, so the club are protected in case other clubs try to sign the player.
The youngster has already elicited bids from Fulham and Crystal Palace, after scoring eight goals in his debut season.
Liverpool, Newcastle and Celtic are also said to be interested, and yesterday Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury said this:
“We gave him his last contract in February and said he could rip it up if he continued to progress… and he has.”
The 19 year-old Winchester-born Ings made his debut for League One Bournemouth back in October of 2008, when he was just 16 years old.
And it’s not the first time Newcastle have been linked with this youngster, and the the 5’10? tall youngster has been in the Bournemouth first team, since he returned from his loan spell at Dorchester last season, and he currently has made 25 first team appearances for the club.
Ings made his Football League debut at Milton Keynes Dons in late December last year, and was on loan earlier last year at Dorchester Town, where he impressed with 7 goals in 13 starts for the Dorset club.
Danny looks like a good young player coming through the ranks down south.
We don’t know if Newcastle have a real interest in this player, but Newcastle are always mentioned when there are stories out on him.
Of course he fits the profile of youngsters who could be signed cheaply by the Tyneside club, and then be coached to his full potential on Tyneside.
Comments welcome.

Didn’t go , but ben arfa looked good if a little rusty. Cabaye was class and linked deep in mf to Hba who if everyone gets up to speed on his vision will be immense just behind the striker. Abeid looked quality could feature lots this yr. Barton class. Vuckic good on ground crap in air. Best had good touches and did ok. Raylor hopeless at lb. Sammy Ameobi very direct rapid looked good took a goal well. Fergie and guthrie injured could be serious

your right it was not darlington fans that started that . i am wondering if the sunderland fans entered the pitch first then nufc fans followed which gave the the purfect chance for the fighting to start which made it look worse
