Barton Unlikely To Play Again For Newcastle – Trains Alone

It seems that Newcastle now consider Joey Barton to be a bad influence on the team,  and it’s unlikely the Liverpudlian will ever play again for Newcastle United.

Alan Pardew – Barton challenged the manager’s authority

And news this morning that Joey Barton has been told to train alone, and that’s hardly surprising.

We have to remember after his altercation over two years ago in the Anfield dressing room with then manager Alan Shearer, he was banned by Alan Shearer, even from the training ground.

That was after Joey managed to get himself sent off in the  game at Liverpool, and therefore missed the last three crucial games of the relegation season,

Joey is still tweeting on his twitter account today:

“Made to train alone today, how predictable………”

It’s predictable because Pardew doesn’t  want any more rants from a player who has been cut loose by the Newcastle club, and while we are not big fans of Mike Ashley or Derek Llambias, Joey is hardly blameless in all of this.

Arsenal and Tottenham are said to be in the running for the player, and we’re sure now that Newcastle will be happy enough to see him leave Tyneside as soon as possible, and he has become a bad influence with both the youngsters and the new players at the club.

Joey carries a lot of baggage of course,  and after doing so well these last two seasons on Tyneside, when he seemed to get his life and football career back on track, he seems to have let himself down on Sunday and over the last few months.

But we would expect Joey to leave Newcastle within the week, and it’s doubtful he will ever play for Newcastle United again.

Life goes on – and so does Newcastle United – hopefully to bigger and better things,  but yes, it’s hard to think that way at the moment.

But maybe we can hammer Gateshead tonight?

That would be a good first step into the future, and then maybe we can annihilate Fiorentina on Saturday?

Just a thought.

Get him off the banner too.

God i hate him as much now as i did when we signed him / he went to prison / he crushed into Alonso & got sent off / he punched MGP.

Ed even says himself “Joey is hardly blameless in all of this”. Just go & give us our club back you thug.

What do we lose in JB?

Set piece taker (no big deal – cabaye, marveaux)
    right mid (jonas, gosling)
    Cm (covered)
Leadership (not by the sound of how he’s reacted to new players and youngsters – he even had his back up in the tweet against cabaye before he joined)

    What do we gain?
Better team spirit (teams win games not individuals, he’s got a track record of being a trouble maker @ foxworth 3 – shearer Alonso gbh)

At the end of the day you can’t have players challenging the coaches and manager. Its just totally against what football is, a team game.

We’ll be alright, last year we got thru with team spirit, we’ll do it again.

And if he’s got an issue about not being captain or taking set pieces he should become a coach.

He is a player – paid to play, not make decisions on who takes/does what or how the club is run

Anyone else think the other players will be glad he’s away from the team? Heck,it might even convince our transfer targets to join knowing JB is on his way out. Lets face it,evry player knows Barton is a tool and no one likes sharing a dressing room with such characters.

Klatoon – such characters win you games, characters like Barton and Nolan, who are our ‘characters now’ oh, they have all gone, along with the core of our team and spirit. Well done.

I’d be relieved if a violent characther like that left, yes.
You never know where or when they’re gonna explode again.
And we’ve had targets turn us down due to joey, in his first two years with us.

Yeah that’s clearly the case Klatoon, as we’ve seen by Danny Simpson, Sameobi, Brad inmans and Rangers comments on twitter, they’re all evidently extacic that our captain and vice captain have been sold. He must have been such a prick to them for them to speak on twitter instead of not saying anything.

As a Joey Barton football fan im really sad to see him go but who can blameJoey for his rants, yes he was a total knob back in the day but you can see he was changing and all because he loves the city and more importantly the club, how many none geordies can you name that know what it is like to play in the black and white stripes and who have honoured them with pride? not many. I think Mike Ashley is honestly embarrised that Joey critisised him and the board but now when Joey goes we’ll all hear the truth and I bet Joey spills the lot on Ashley. It just amazes me how we are ment to be building the club for the future and hes letting all out best players go, I mean if you owned a business and for all you hated one of your employees but they were raking in the profits for you and they were a fim fan favourite you wouldnt let them go you’d want to keep them. What ever club gets Joey is a very lucky club and I wish him all the best for the rest of his career its just a shame it isnt here. And no doubt when he plays against us the fans will applaud him knowing what hes done for OUR club.

Joey was lucky to still be in football, let alone have a club whilst he was in prison.

The club have given him a damn sight more than he deserved, over the length of his contract he gave us one good season, and that was last season, other than that he has been pretty anonimous really.

Has JB poisoned his own well as well? Not many will want him if it is true about his rants with, at and about players, managers and mgt. If those reports are false, Joey better come to his own defense quickly. If he essentially blackball’s himself, he will have no future in the sport he loves.

It’s just strange how these stories of Barton being problematic for months have arisen since he has spoken out against the clubs lack of ambition. Tit for tat? All we have heard over the past few months from Pardew is how good Barton has been and now all of a sudden he has been problematic. Does this mean Pardew has been hiding the truth about the spirits within the camp? Surely if they’re not offering Barton a new deal and he has been moaning for months it would have been best to out him back then and not do it now so it looks like they are just trying to gain fans back on their side and make Barton out to be the bad one. No wonder they decided to get their two pence worth in before Barton said he would at 4pm yesterday. If more people had the bottle to highlight those who mislead others the world would be a better place. Surely Ashley will think twice about trying to mislead us whilst Barton is at the club? the rest of the kiss arses don’t care about us fans and will go along with it. I’m surprised Stevie Taylor hasn’t come out and said anything yet, he has a relatively big personality yet probably values his place in the team. Anyone heard the saying ‘what they don’t know won’t hurt them?’ I disagree with it, it causes nothing but speculation. Spill the beans

So what is sameobi, ranger, Simpson are tweeting.

You cannot go on like JB did, are you lot off your nut?? Please, I mean would you really let someone work for you who went on like that. I don’t give a flying f*#k if he scores 10-15 goals a season.

Who would you rather have playing for you? Ranger, Simpson, sameobi?? Or Cabaye, HBA, Ba?? You don’t see these lot tweeting. So I’m guessing they don’t care if JB Leaves, or there just professional enough not to do it.

    Well???
