Newcastle Midfielder Sent Out On Loan To Leyton Orient

Kazenga LuaLua was sent out on loan earlier this summer, to Brighton until January, and now another Newcastle youngster has been sent out on loan to get some first team games.

Michael Richardson – sent on a month’s loan to Leyton Orient

News this afternoon that Leyton Orient have completed the signing of Newcastle United midfielder Michael Richardson on a one-month loan deal.

The 19-year-old was signed on by Newcastle only a year ago from local club Walker Central, and the youngster had a very good first season on Tyneside,  and impressed in the Newcastle Reserve side.

Michael was on the bench a few times towards the end of last season, although he has yet to appear for Newcastle in a competitive senior game, but he is highly thought of at the club.

Alan Pardew is keen to loan out the youngsters so they can get first team games, that can aid their development, and there will be a lot more of the Newcastle youngsters who will be sent out on loan before September rolls around.

According to a Frenchman I have just been talking to, Yohan Cabaye is an astonishing player.
He told me that we have got a REAL bargain when we bought Cabaye.
From what I was told by this PSG fan, who did know his stuff, we will be delighted this coming season.
AND to buck the trend, he had a very POSITIVE impression of NUFC, and it would seem a lot of the French have a similar opinion !

so they can get a look at him barry. Not like they’ll have that many scouts watching reserves. Gives him the chance to impress and get a longer loan

    @ barryvenison
It’s an initial month with the option to keep him on further loan if he does good.
Good for O’s and good for us and good for the player. Maybe he’ll take his chance quicker this way by proving himself at Walsall.

Oh yes mate, Cabaye is a gem.
Thats your captain for next season IF Collo is moved on due to age.
If Collo stays, the Cabaye will be vise captain. Mark my words.

    @ JackButler

He’s got two years left on his contract, but defenders seem to last longer in this game. I think he could be a top player until atleast 33-34. But with what we’ve seen when it comes to aging players in their last years of contract, i can see it get extended maybe a year at a time. Depends if thats ok with Collo or not.

BUT, i do hope i retires with us, he’s pure class and still have half a decade in him imo.

Reportedly, Gabriel Obertan is close to commit to Newcastle . The two clubs are in advanced negotiations for a transfer estimated 3 to 4 million. Obertan should commit for a period of five years and will join the French colony of Newcastle with Yohan Cabaye, Hatem Ben Arfa and Sylvain Marveaux.

translation. Not a lot to go off

I dont think that there is a problem at all with Barnetta being injured for 3 weeks as we have a starting eleven for the first three games, its the rest of the season we need the depth. Hope he comes and its good that we’ve come across as well to his agent.

Im comfortable having Pardew as manager at the moment. I dont think its entirely his fault with some of the things that have been going on as someone else said, because its laurel and hardy who ultimately make the decisions. Pardew just has to tend to the front-line so-to-speak and i think hes handled it quite well. He said it himself that like the players, he wants more bodies in, which is pretty obvious, so all this puppet rubbish is rather unfair i think. Do people want him to stand up for himself and say he’ll leave? Keegan did that and gets labelled a quitter. Nobody is perfect, but i give Alan my support for now.

For all the madness, you dont hear any negative words about Pardew from the players, in fact i read quotes from Barton and a couple of others that their relationship with him was decent.

Looking forward to seeing more players coming in and judging by who has already been signed, IF they do come in, im sure Carr can get it right again and get exactly the type of we want and need.

If true £3-4m for obertan potentially could be a good deal. Still v raw and reminds me a lot of jonas in the sense his crossing isn’t great but would be much better back up than raylor! Fast good dribbler potenitially a v exciting signing

I wouldn’t really believe French websites, they claimed Gervinho was 100% to join us.

However I think Obertan would be a very good signing. He reminds me of Nani a couple of years ago, very skillful and quick but lacking end product, he’s only 22 so he could potentially improve that part of his game.

I only know what i’ve read here about him.
Could anyone tell me what he’s all about. It’s good for squad depth, and we’ve adressed an issue then it seems.
He must be better than Raylor and Routledge on the right?
And he has to have improved by being 2 years at Man Utd?
Again, could anyone share a bit about him, strength and weaknesses?

Sounds fair enough, a tad like Jonas then, but it certainly helps. Still need Enriques replacement plus a striker.

However, Obertan is hardly confirmed yet. Lets see what the evning brings on nufc.co.uk.

obertan was once rated as one of the top prospects coming through in france. although he got injured i believe and then lost his way a little. hence the move from bordeaux to man united..so obviously he’s decent if man united have seen something in him.
i like him as a player, very pacey better than routledge. hasn’t really had a proper run of games for united, but looked decent on some occasions in champ league games for them.
if we do sign him and he can rediscover his potential fromearlier in his career we could have a very decent player. certainly would be exciting to watch

Obertan is definitely a ‘entertainer’, hope it’s true.

If he could garner a better end product, he’d be devastating. Like somebody else said, much like Nani a few years back.
