Haris Vuckic Starts – Best And Lovenkrands Up Front

As we half expected Haris Vuckic gets another start this afternoon against Fiorentina at St. James’ Park.

The Slovenian has had an excellent pre-season and could well be coming through big time for Newcastle over the coming season – we certainly hope so.

Tim Krul as expected starts in goal, with Fraser Forster on the bench, since Steve Harper has  a knee injury, and the back four is Danny Simpson, Steven Taylor, captain Fabricio Coloccini and want away Jose Enrique.

18 year-old Haris Vuckic – starts this afternoon

Dan Gosling, Yohan Cabaye and Jonas Gutierrez all start with young Vuckic in midfield, and a surprise up front with Leon Best partnering Peter Lovenkrands.

Youngsters James Tavernier, Nile Ranger and sammy Ameobi are ion the bench.

Teams:

Newcastle United: Tim Krul; Danny Simpson, Jose Enrique, Fabricio Coloccini (c), Steven Taylor; Dan Gosling, Yohan Cabaye, Haris Vuckic, Jonas Gutierrez; Peter Lovenkrands, Leon Best.
Substitutes: Fraser Forster, James Tavernier, Ryan Taylor, Mike Williamson, Sylvain Marveaux, Sammy Ameobi, Shola Ameobi, Nile Ranger.

Fiorentina: Artur Boruc, Lorenzo de Silvestri, Manuel Pasqual, Valon Behrami, Alessandro Gamberini, Cesare Natali, Romulo, Stevan Jovetic, Riccardo Montolivo, Andrea Lazzari, Alberto Gilardino.
Substitutes: Norberto Murara, Cristiano Piccini, Felipe, Marco Romizi, Santos Matos, Amidu Salifu, Marco Marchionni, Adem Ljajic, Khouma Babacar, Luca Lezzerini.

    @ jamesnufc86

Thanks! have been desperately trying to find one. Hope it works…

Interesting starting 11, Pardew said he wouldn’t name the strongest team possible but I’m a bit disappointed Ba is on the bench. Bring on the game, come on Toon!

no doublt Tiote is in that strongest 11 so I think its more mind games for the arsenal game, I will expect a simular line up against Arsenal with the inclusion of Ba and tiote (If he gets his VISA)

‘Best and Lovernkrands start up front’ I bet the defenders are s***ing themselves when they hear that line. Does not build me with confidence whatsoever when Ba gets injured…
