Newcastle 0 Fiorentina 0 – Video Highlights

Here are the highlights of the game yesterday against Fiorentina, and it’s a good video made by Alex Walker, and if you’d to subscribe to his channel, please do.

You can see the two Newcastle goalkeepers, Krul and Forster, made some very good saves, and the Newcastle side looked more than decent.

From the looks of it, the lads had a decent game against a decent side, bearing in mind the weather was terrible and the ball was sticking…… Cabaye looking good, marveuax looking good and obertan in tomorrow! All good for the moment!

Some of you were saying Man Citeh were going to run away with the title this year being 2-0 against Man Utd, now it’s 2-2 what you saying now? Great goal by Nani, well great team goal I should say.

How anyone can determine that we had a good workout from that clip is beyond me ! Keepers were the busier and Krul saved two certain goals.

12.000 attendance ? Sign of the times ?

Lads this is the best description of Obertan I’ve had from a mate of mine who is a hardcore united fan, he hasn’t pulled any punches in the past when it comes to the toon in the past so I trust his judgement,

“Basically when he was younger he was supposed to be the next big thing but has had bad luck with injuries. He got a really bad back injury but Bordeaux never sent him for surgery. We picked him up for 3m and stuck him under the knife. He’s very attacking, outrageously fast, alot of pace but lacks an end product right now! Definitley potential there though, be a very good signing! Kind of wish we kept him and just loaned him out to be honest, reminds me of Henry sometimes”

Take of that what you may just thought I would share 🙂

in all fairness dave when you play the foreign teams theres know travelling support really. If we played someone like celtic or rangers there woulda probably have been about 5-6000 fans there. It was slashing it down also. I was going to go and pay on door but looked out the window and thought bollox to this. Fair weather fan here! well in pre-season anyway

Guys looked ok but you can’t tell from clipparts of footage, yer need the full 90mins footage to get a real idea of ho well they played, oh sorry, it was only 66min wasn’t it lol 🙂

  • Klatoon, I don’t see the combinational. PSG and Citeh are owned more or less by states. NUFC is owned by one man.

    0
  • Tonytoon73, no idea. But at a guess, I’d say between Liverpool and Citeh.

What a great team goal for Manchester United 2nd goal. I’m worried if we face them. Nani or Ashley Young against Simpson might be trouble. Simpson is pants. We desperately need a quality right back and a striker. Simpson might cost us plenty of goals. Im already worried about what Gervinho might do to him.

12,656 fans for the only home pre season game, points to the fact a lot of fans not happy chappy’s at the moment, when you think of some of the reserves crowds last season.

95% of the United fans seem gutted Obertan’s leaving.

Mind you, we don’t actually know if it’s permanent or just a loan currently.

So nothing new from the 1st weekend of action:

    – Nolan is still invisible
    – Parker still one of the most overrated midfielders
-Block head Sam is still a clueless one-dimensional manager
    – Man U, typically demonstrate their defiance, no matter the personnel.

Bring on our season of Snakes & Ladders!!! 😀

You watch the whole game? I haven’t seen United play attacking football like that in a long time. Some of their passing – 2nd goal is just one example – was sensational.

Welbeck looks a player, Nani looks just as good as last year, and Rooney looks sharp for the first time in a while.

We need 2 strikers nevermind 1. Best is not good enough, Loverman is crap and why does Pardew insist on playing him on the wing where he’s even worse. That leaves Ba and Shola. Ben Arfa and Vuckic can play up front but are not really strikers. Obertan has potential and I’m pleased were adding a player to the squad but about 4 more are needed.

Did he? I didn’t see that, but I may have missed it.

I think he’s a brilliant signing if true. According to the United fans he can play as a forward as well as a winger. And he’s had a really good pre season.

People need to stop hoping for a Rossi or a Forlan.. We have an @sshole owner, and we’re not an attractive club at the moment.
