Jose Enrique has said that he knows the Newcastle players are nervous about what the future holds at the famous north east club.
Jose has said that the dressing room has fears for the direction of the club.
“I’m worried not for the club, more for the fans because they are amazing.”
“I have a lot of friends in the dressing room and they are a little bit nervous because they don’t know what the club is going to do,”
“It is not because we have left, because at some clubs good players leave,” “But they have not signed another left back.”
‘I think that is why everyone is leaving Newcastle. I think Joey Barton will leave soon and it is really hard for Alan Pardew.”
‘You want to be as high as you can in the table but maybe Newcastle don’t think the same and that is why they sell their best players and that is why everyone moves.”
I should point out that “everyone is leaving Newcastle” refers to himself, Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan, all who went for bigger money at other clubs, and that statement by Jose has to be a gross overstatement of the truth.
And if Joey Barton wants to leave Newcastle, then so be it.
This seems a classic case of somebody who has left Newcastle trying to justify why they left, and putting the club in a bad light in the process. It’s not good when you have left a club to criticize it in any way.
That’s because it shows a complete lack of class, however true the words may be.
We think Jose should keep his comments to his current club Liverpool, and not reflect back on Newcastle, who paid the Spaniard £45K/week for four years and treated him very well while he was on Tyneside.
To be sure, Newcastle are not in a good state at the moment, we cannot deny that, but three good players in before September, and Newcastle could have a stronger squad than last season.
That’s the truth, or in the words of Derek LLambias – fact!
