Ryan Taylor is having his time in the sun, after that wonderful goal he scored after 62 minutes that won the game at Sunderland on Saturday.
Krul – with super hero Taylor after the game
Krul wasn’t too shabby either!
It was an unexpected win, especially after Newcastle struggled so much in the first half, but we were just delighted that a top professional like Ryan is getting the plaudits he thoroughly deserves.
When was the last time you heard him moan about anything? In IBM parlance, he’s what we would call a low maintenance employee, and Alan Pardew has certainly been singing his praises since Saturday’s game.
This is what Pardew said about the player, whose best position is probably out on the right wing:
“Ryan has come into the side and was brilliant last week.” “He was brilliant again at Sunderland and got the goal to cap it all off.”
“He took the plaudits and he deserves them.” “You get different characters in the game. Ryan is not one who gets too fiery and it helped us.”
“He was very calm, he is a cool footballer and that helps us on days like Saturday.” “We now have the chance to be top of the league after three games if we can win our match against Fulham.”
“Now that would be something and that is what we will be aiming to do.”
And Ryan’s goal was not dissimilar to the goal he scored against Ipswich on September 26th, 2009, after the Bobby Robson memorial service held in Durham Cathedral the previous Monday with 1500 invited guests including the Newcastle team.
Ryan scored the third goal in the first half from a free kick out on the left and also 20 yards out, and three first half goals came in a time-frame of just 5 minutes, and the lads were brilliant that day and 3-0 up at half time.
They eventually won the game 4-0 with a terrific overall display, and were obviously inspired by the memory of Sir Bobby, the former Ipswich, Newcastle and England manager, who was loved throughout the world of football.
And Alan Pardew, in the same interview today, gave even m,ore praise to the traveling Newcastle fans:
He added:
“They were brilliant. They were last year and we let them down in the same fixture. They went home disappointed because of a late goal, which we were unlucky to concede.”
“They had to hang around at the end and we conceded the goal. They had to hang around again – but they were much, much happier.”
Newcastle fans tend to complain about Newcastle a lot, and most of it is even justified, but the lads produced the goods on Saturday afternoon, there’s no doubt about that, and they certainly got the job done.
Let’s give the lads the credit they deserve and a big Well done!
Now the question is whether Derek LLambias and Mike Ashley get the job done in the last 9 days of this transfer window for the Newcastle club.
We have to hope so.

Comment #4Bad news lads. Started a new game of FM11 last night because I was bored out of my mind. Scum signed Pieters and Barnetta on the first day of the window.
It could be an omen but on the same note lol @ Sunderland attracting players, you can tell it’s a game like.

Comment #14You must say either “le stade rennais” or “Rennes”. But not just “rennais”, for it is an adjective and not a name.

We won’t pay more than 4.3million. PSV asking price is 6million.

Erdinc – by a mile
Simmo has more pace, but on performances so far Id start Raylor – set pieces aside he is a more solid defender.

Comment #22someone has probably mentioned it already but apparently we have agreed a deal for a right back from watford worth 2.2m (its on twitter & nufcblog.com) and it makes sense since john carver was seen at ricoh arena last weekend.
any ideas who it could be? first I thought it was eddie oshodi but he’s on loan at rushden & diamonds. lee hodson fits the bill perfectly (u19, u21 experience) but he plays for northern ireland… :O
as for adam campbell; i think he’s a future star. it’s still to early to tell but he won the “nike tournament best player award” previously picked up by the likes of tevez, torres n iniesta… very promising indeed!
wrote it before but everyone had moved on…

Comment #25I posted on the last thread about downloading the games via Usenet its an easy thing to learn just goggle .nzb and Usenet if there’s any demand I will help, but I will only help those who want to use it for private use I will not help anyone who fancy a bit of piracy, more and more games are being uploaded mostly hd now .mvk files. the Sunderland game was 3.38gig so the use of paid servers is advisable a free trial would get you 1 game.

Comment #28Id honestly start Simmo over Raylor… because of his pace… Simmo is still young and can improve, has the potential to be a very good Right back… On top of that Alot of teams have pacy wingers… Raylor might get outpaced…
We also have Cabaye and Barton for Set pieces… Granted Raylor might be Better then Barton, we still havent seen what cabaye can do…

I agree. I think he absolutely has earned a run in the side. Don’t get me wrong I like Simpson, but I don’t think Taylor gives as much ground as Simpson does and definitely provides an offensive threat with his crossing and FK’s. Assuming no other right sided players are brought in, I think him and Barton (or whoever for that matter) could develop something special on the right side.

Erdinc has a lot of fire in him ..works really hard , fast, good feet…never gives up ,closest thing I have seen to
Malcolm Mc’Donalds old style of playing ..Some similarities,
but maybe not the left foot that Mac had..
Miaga just sounds like a headcase.
I have seen him score some decent goals ..so cant just be a lucky season with 15 last time out .Potential , but where’s his head?..He could be another Obefemi.

I dunno anything about a signing, but Carr was at the Watford vs Coventry match and Pards was in Holland watching Pieters.
Who Carr was scouting we can only guess, prob some young lad making a name for himself in one of the clubs.

Aye, Sunderland signed Pieters on my FM11 too lol, although he’s not that great really. Derdiyok is constantly linked with me but I don’t need him as I signed Benzema from Madrid for 9m (he starts the game transfer listed 😛 ). Also signed Dzsudzsak (the Hungarian winger from PSV), Gervinho, Zapata and Lorenzo De Silvestri, the young RB from Fiorentina.
Then I’ve got Van Nistelrooy, Demichelis and Van Bommel coming in on frees at the end of the season, and Tom Huddlestone joining for 12m.
Imagine if the FCB made those signings in real life, we’d be challenging top 4 easily!
