Joey Barton Thinks QPR Move Over – Needs Time And Space

Joey Barton has just tweeted what’s going on at QPR.

Joey Barton – thinking it over

Apparently Joey has now completed the second part of his medical this morning, and the London club have made the Liverpudlian a substantial offer to join them on a four year deal.

By all accounts  the wages are said to be close to what Joey is currently getting on Tyneside, and this is what Joey tweeted at around 2:30 pm today:

Need some thinking time and space……………

QPR have big financial backing from their new majority owner Tony Fernandes, but it’s still unclear, with so little time left in the transfer window, whether QPR can sign enough players so that they get off to a good start in the Premier League.

Manager Neil Warnock is trying to sign as many as five players in six days, and no doubt when the January transfer window rolls around, QPR will strengthen their squad once again.

It will also of course mean Joey moving to London,. and we know he’s settled at Newcastle and wants to stay at the club, but he’s not on good terms with owner Mike Ashley or Managing Director Derek LLambias.

Joey may need a day or two to think things over, and we’re trying to get a poll on whether fans want him to stay – but unfortunately we seem to be having a little bit of trouble with the poll.

Hopefully it’s working a bit better now, so please vote.

Do You Want Joey Barton To Stay At Newcastle This Season?

More out than in I’m afraid. At least we have a massive squad with bags of experience in every area of the pitch.

He’s done too much to the club, and not enough for it.

I think the majority of sensible fans do not want him to stay, when you look at it logically, we’re better without him in the long run.

Joey has the talent to play for a larger club than QPR but they won’t touch him with a barge pole for personnel reasons.

Joey will be considering whether to risk staying at Newcastle for a year, maybes get a new contract or to bite the bullet and go against everything he has said and join the minnows QPR. If he didn’t have a kid on the way I’m sure he’d stay….I’m actually holding on to him staying and have been since the start of their interest. He is a headstrong character but his agent is slime, lower than a snakes belly!
