Marveaux Makes Debut In Strong Newcastle Line-Up

As expected, Sylvain Marveaux will make his debut tonight for Newcastle United in the second round of the Carling Cup at Scunthorpe United, in what looks a strong Newcastle side.

The 25 year-old Frenchman is in midfield and surprisingly Yohan Cabaye starts the game tonight and Dan Gosling and Peter Lovenkrands make up the four men in midfield, as Newcastle play 4-4-2.

Ryan Taylor stays at left back,  and Mike Williamson comes in for the rested Steven Taylor, and Mike has an opportunity to regain  his first team place.

Demba Ba and Leon Best are the two strikers up front and youngsters Shane Ferguson, Mehdi Abeid, Vuckic and Sammy Ameobi are all on the bench, and it seems Pardew wants to win this game first.

Pardew will possibly give the youngsters a run-out later in the game.

It’s a strong side for Newcastle tonight, and we want to see that win.

Howay The Lads!!

Scunthorpe United (4-4-2): Josh Lillis, Andrew Wright, Eddie Nolan, Sam Togwell (c), Michael Nelson, Jimmy Ryan, Chris Dagnall, Oliver Norwood, Bobby Grant, Niall Canavan, Andy Barcham
Subs: Sam Slocombe, Garry Thompson, Mark Duffy, Michael Collins, Matt Godden, Ashley Palmer, Jordan Thewlis

Newcastle United (4-4-2): Tim Krul; Danny Simpson, Ryan Taylor, Fabricio Coloccini, Mike Williamson; Sylvain Marveaux, Yohan Cabaye, Dan Gosling, Peter Lovenkrands; Demba Ba, Leon Best
Subs: Ole Soderberg, Steven Taylor, Shane Ferguson, Alan Smith, Mehdi Abeid, Haris Vuckic, Sammy Ameobi

A very nice Formation indeed. Minutes for Williamson and Gosling. Hope Ba a Best score that might bring confidence for the premier matches.

Vuckic should been in the starting 11, McLoven is not good enough.

Nice, I nailed the formation and starting 11 bar Saylor for Colo and Cabaye for Vuckic. Strong team, good bench, we should win this. Come on the Toon!

It wont be ba on the left it will be

    Krul
    Simpson Williamson Coloccini Raylor
    Marveaux Gosling Cabaye Lovenkrands
    Ba Best

I remember Pards used Loverman as a LM in the stevenage match last year so i assume thats what it will be. Has pards said Ba will be LM?

    HELP!!!

    No links!!!

2 out of the 5 links just don’t work, the page doesn’t exist. The other 3 are basically the same one and those usually fall or are just too slow here.

Any SOPCAST link? (myp2p is down, and there are no alternatives)

Wtf why are people saying Ba us best on the wing. He has never played their in his life. He has a goalscoring of about a goal in every two games. Thats a record of a goal scorer not an winger cum striker.
