Best and Ba looked good upfront together, hope ameobi doesn come in and take eithers place.

Cabaye was solid again, got stuck in and his set pieces were good. Tiote was better still not back to his best though.

S.Taylor and Coloccini were great again which will make it hard for williamson to get back in the team.

Krul is amazing and is never giving uo the no1 jersey now

We have a very good spine to the team and with a LB and a ST i think we could come top 7

    HWTL!!!

Tim Krul. Some top drawer saves in the second half. Tim has the ability to go on and be a world class keeper.

look lads we all were asking why we got rid of nolan and barton, but honestly we got younger, cheaper and better replacements thats why…..and the team spirit is still there.

aye, tayls and colo are a rock n the middle and simp holds his flank, every team has come at raylor thinking they can take advantage of him and with jonas backtracking and helping we have stopped em. Gotta give some props to raylor for holding that flank with all the pressure being directed at him

Was listening to talksport few days ago and adrian durham was saying how best was an amazing prospect when he was younger his manager was saying he was going to be a great player one day….maybe just maybe.

Peiters starting for PSV?? Really? Is that confirmed as thought he was meant to be at the ground today. Is anyone else pooping their pants we won’t sign anyone. Down to the wire again. De ja vue – we will never be a top 6 team with this ambition, especially with the way liverpool are now spending money. Man city are buying the league and chelsea are spending big again to say nothing of Man u.

The only chance we will ever have of competing again is a new owner with financial backing. Otherwise it’s a scrap for 6th spot.

If we can get 3 players in by wednesday however, we are financially sound, have a good young team and hopefully we can push on from there and catch a buyers eye.

Krul by a mile. But we need to bring in some bodies now, our squad is paper thin. To bring in Smith when we are fighting to keep the points will cost us…

Best! Ferocious scrapper outside the box, composed and clinical inside. Krul, Cabaye and Obertan deserve mentions too.

Love how the entire team is defending as one.

the best thing about today is we won.. .thw worst thing is in the after math of said win we’re still getting neggers on here moaning, rather than be over the moon we won and have made a great start to the season they cant even get out of the small little pessimistic heads for a couple of hours

thats true support for you there that is!

    sad losers

when we sign people next week, i hope you never come back on this blog

    djm toon,

aye i agreee but you gotta understand after carroll alot of the toon supporters dont believe anything the regime says until they see it,, and once they see 3 players come in before the window and the product on the pitch ma can get a little bit of trust back…honestly selling Carroll may turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to this club, has he even scored for the wallett snatchers, they dont know how to use him like we did, i look for him to leave after this season cuz he wont hit double digits in goals and will get tired of sitting on the pine watching suarez steal the show….

Offtopic but I didn’t know this. Dzeko is fasting too and scored 4 goals + has had an awesome month throughout August. So Ba has/had no excuse for being poor the 2 previous appearances. Granted he was better today but you can’t use fasting as an excuse.

Great win against one of our bogey sides. Hope Krul’s performance puts pay to wasting our time trying to find another keeper!

Need a left back for balance and for depth. RT might push simmo for the right back spot.

Really we should look to replace Barton but wouldnt make it a priority.

Strikers, best was good today, he is a confidence player too. Need to get a shane long type in to play with him or Ba.

HWTL a great start to the season!

next few days there will be at least a left back comin in, i think well get 2 signings, there was never gunna be a signing in last 5 days or so with 2 games to concentrate on now everyone has their game out of the way and international break negotiations will be comin to an end because of window close and managers can spend next three days just shopping nothing else

His second goal was amazing, the way he took that goal was veryvery impressive!

Cabaye looks to improve by every game!
    Krul was amazing aswell!
Saylor and Colo looks a proper good pair at the heart of our defence!

    Howay the lads!
