Are they really taking the Newcastle United sign down off the east stand? To replace it with what, sportsdirect.com?

Dantoon – apparently he’s replacing it was a NUFC logo and advertisement either side.

I’ve just seen a striker we can get when the loan window opens in 7 days.. Leon Clarke. He’s available after his bust up with Di Canio o Tuesday night! He’s currently Swindon’s no. 9!

Those of you that voted no need to look at the PL as a whole.

Who did more business than us? Very few…

Who did BETTER business than us? Even fewer…

Are you happy we have replaced Barton with Cabaye on his last few performances?

Even Raylor has impressed in place of José and now we have a dedicated left back in too.

Look how long we were looking for a striker whilst Shearer was playing – These things take time and I’m glad we didn’t make any panic buys/take any gambles.

Cabaye was Nolan’s replacement. We didn’t replace Barton.

Ollieh51 – stop trying to pacify us, the whole success of this window was dependent on if we found a suitable replacement for striker… the majority of Newcastle fans realise that if we don’t act now the situation with Col Ashley will just get worse and worse; we’ve been lied to far to often!

re-posting from a cuiople of threads back – as more relevant to this one:

Have I logged in to the wrong forum? I thought this was for nufc SUPPORTERS…? i.e., people who SUPPORT the team?

Seem to be a few too many people taking a smug satisfaction in being proven right that we didnt get some extra bodies that everyone agrees we need….
Dont understand that myself. Taking pleasure from your own team coming up short?
Are these the same kind of people who get off on being whipped and burned?
Will you be happy if we get turned over by QPR? Is that more important to you than getting behind your team?

By all means be dissapointed, by all means protest in whatever way you feel appropriate. Spend your money or dont spend your money on whatecver you want.

But at least support your own team for Gods sake

Now then – for new ownership how about Ant & Dec leading a consortium with Dec’s mrs Georgie Thompson in the DL role. She knows her footie and am sure could be very pursuasive…

Cue lots of jokes about her having no problems passing a fitness test.

Ochytoon – YOU’RE an idiot – Check your grammer before you start throwing needless personal insults please and showing your ineptitudes.

So who do you think we could have bought to do the job that Carroll did – Bearign in mind Ba AND Best had better scoring records last season…

(Lets not turn this into a personal battle please, we all have opinions and this is a forum to share them, not a school playground!)

    Well said Drongo.

I support the club regardless and thank kthe players and even Pard for doing what they can with Mike ruling with a tightly gripped iron fist!

None of this, I told you so rubbish. You’re probably likely to be sat there booing the lads too!

(To be fair, if it’s Perch/Smudge, fair play!)

Would of been better if we had got a striker in, but a panic buy and then the player being a flop wouldn’t of gone down well with us. We’ve done more than i expected and there are some good signings in. Maybe January we will get our No.9.

@ Toonboy – less of the fool fella, not called for.

My post was aimed at the people who seemed happy to be proven right, rather than dissapointed.

I am dissapointed. But will also be at Loftus Road on 12th Sept making as much noise as possible and showing JB what he could have had for anogther year.

Im not an Ashley Apologist, but also am not going to turn my back on our club because we didnt sign Mr Miagi (who until a couple of weeks ago Id never heard of).
I was far more p’d off when we signed Albert Luque

    No Ochytoon, it’s my OPINION.

How is it a failure? We didn’t sign a striker that would get us 20 goals a season?

How many of those have there EVER been in the PL at any point in time? How rare are they?

The fact we have goals all over the pitch is a great benefit to us.

No need for the personal insult mate, we support the same club.

We should maybe wait and see what Pardew has to say this time, if nothing else it will probably reinforce what we all know already…..and do we think he will mention Janaury?
We have a lot of points to win or lose before then, I hope the risk that Ashley has taken is fcn worth it!”
