73% Dissatisfied With Newcastle Transfer Business

Well, it’s not too too surprising that a large percentage of fans are not happy with Newcastle’s  transfer business this summer.

And with almost 900 votes in, and the poll still open,  73% say they are dissatisfied with the transfer business Newcastle have completed this summer.

16% are satisfied and 11% remain undecided.

We wonder what the results would have been like if Newcastle had signed a good striker on Wednesday?

If you think Barton is lying then what about Enrique?Keegan?Shearer?Nolan? Let me guess it’s all sour grapes and they are all greedy moneygrubbers…

@Otterspocket-I’m not on twitter and don’t follow everything he said. I’m not his biggest fan but he was a player who wouldn’t give up on the pitch and we have’nt replaced him. We are desperately short of cover in many areas and with a few injuries we could be in dire straights. Are we in this position because we can’t afford to bring any more players in?? Or because our owner refuses to reinvest? You tell me.

We do have a decent team,

go back to when Santon signed and read the comments, every one was over the moon.

We didnt get a prolific striker, granted but if the rest of the team do a job that doesnt matter for now.

think how best and ba and teh rest of the team feel when they’re told they’re not good enough by us fans and tools like barton. Also Enrique….

The players we have are not world beaters granted but they are decent enough

If a Striker had arrived – i would honestly have voted “happy”. As we didn’t, I can’t. Would be interesting to see which way Pardew would vote.

No real cover in defence atm is very worrying until atleast Willo is back from injury, but even then if we have any more injuries we will suffer.
We were promised a new striker and we now go into the season without a no.9, when was the last time that happened?

I hope we continue to do well on the pitch but we are really relying on luck (or is it Ashley’s gamble) that our poor record of injuries will not occur again this season.
Well for me it started with HBA.

Help us to try and make a difference, mail us at maoc@hotmail.co.uk and let’s fight to get our club back.

Interesting to see it laid out like this?

Yohan Cabaye (£4.3m) for Kevin Nolan (£4m)
Demba Ba (free) for Andy Carroll (£35m)*
Sylvain Marveaux (free) for Joey Barton (free)
Gabriel Obertan (£3.25m) for Wayne Routledge (£2m)
Rob Elliot (£0.1m) for Fraser Forster (loan)
Davide Santon (£5m) for Jose Enrique (£6m)
Total spent £12.65m Total received £47m

SANTON IS A LEFT BACK!!!!!! NOT A RIGHT BACK WHO GETS HOYED IN AT LEFT BACK!!!! A LEFT BACK FOR GOD SAKE!!!!

You realise as well we do have strikers? Just coz ur not happy! read my post before.

bet it does leon and Ba’s confidence the world of good when they hear their supporters slag em off eh?

Im not happy we havent brought another striker in like most but you have to get behind them as WE DO HAVE STRIKERS.

Woodsee I agree mate, we are very thin but I think Pardew has a lot of confidence in the youngsters. after all, whats the point in bringin em through if you dont use em?

I have to admit all of our new players is class ! but compare with players out, it still not enough especially Carroll replacement.

Another proven striker will make this transfer windows become the best but lack of striker add-on let us disappoint.

ashley & co started well with their plan to be debt free & scouting networks is awesome..i just hope they will learn from arsenal & once they achive their plan will do everything in their power to keep the core of the squad. luckily we can learn from arsenal..& see their system has flaws. just hoping they see that.. but overall..so far nufc did a good job!

I’m not sure when Ben Arfa is back.

I do know we need to get him to recover in Newcastle so he goes to Benton for his treatment.
Then he’s with the squad instead of isolated in Clairefontaine.

Cant say that I’m happy with the transfers.. because they had since February to scout the right new nr 9… and still failed.. with loads of cash available.

Not good enough! Did they ever try? Would even have settled with a season loan for a proven player.. Bendtner, Sturridge, Defoe etc….

@Mojo – Toon asked me this earlier:

I wrote “Just completed the forms for the Newcastle council and think once that is done – I will contact some of the guys on here like MACTOON and they can take it over locally as I am not in Newcastle unfortunately – just cant seem to find right job so I can move down… Sky Sports Newsdesk was very interested yesterday as they would be so Starting it off… I dont know how this will affect the team morale and dont wish to be accused of starting trouble… as not a local Geordie and would never speak on behalf of the toon army without permission… What percentage would you say of Newcastle City dont want Ashley in the Club? I wonder how we could get a petition out and about in the city to get signatures as anything that has 100,000 signatures can be motioned for Parliament to discuss – Newcastle is a bastion of the working classes (no offense) and the club is central to the mood and tone of the workforce and daily inhabitants… this man will bring DOWN this city and I dont think it should be allowed to go on” – i need to see if we can arrange someone to get this across at the Irish Centre meetings… and also to see if we have friends in Newcastle City Council… Surely there is,,,

we have 6 or 7 listed strikers for 1 or 2 positions

we have 8 listed defenders for 4 positions… not sure why some say we are thin as a squad, we a rent. got some great youngsters coming through

i dont need to mention midfield as we have about 10 for 3 – 5 positions there ofc
