One Newcastle Striker Likely To Leave Soon

The loan window will open next week, and we expect Chris Hughton to try to take striker Nile Ranger on loan to Birmingham City.

Nile Ranger in action against Chelsea last season

Newcastle made a late bid to sign Birmingham defender Liam Ridgewell on Wednesday night, with Nile Ranger part of the deal going the other way,  but like all their attempts on Wednesday in the transfer market, it was not successful;.

It seems that Nile Ranger has no future at Newcastle, and we fully expect the Londoner to be moved out somewhere on loan next week, and it would probably be a good move for Nile to rejoin Chris Hughton in the Midlands.

Birmingham came to Newcastle with a loan deal in July for the striker, but Newcastle preferred to have Ranger completely off their books in a permanent transfer, and no agreement was reached.

There is also an argument to keep Nile Ranger at the club until at least January, since Newcastle are short of strikers, but we don’t think that’s going to happen.

A source said to be close to Nile,  had this to say:

“Birmingham and Blackpool have both been after Ranger but the chance to link up with Hughton again will appeal to him,”

“Newcastle were disappointed not to get a new centre-forward in but they still have plenty of options up front.”

“Demba Ba, Leon Best, Peter Lovenkrands, Shola Ameobi and Sammy Ameobi are all ahead of Ranger so it’s likely he will move in the loan window.”

It appears that Alan Pardew has lost hope in the youngster,  because he’s not professional enough and continues to be late to training, and of course he has recently been in trouble again with the law, which will only quicken his departure from the club.

Nile’s lost a huge opportunity at Newcastle, but there’s still time for him to put his career and life back together, and certainly we think a move for him to Birmingham and Chris Hughton,  would be great for him.

What do you think?

Comments welcome.

Ranger would probably be better off with Holloway at Blackpool. He would instil some serious discipline into him, which is what Ranger needs. Any crap from Ranger and he’d end up on his arse at Blackpool.

Bye Ranger. Maybe moving down to the championship will take away some of that sense of entitlement he seems to have.

@2 – I live in mansfield where the party was held. If id of known, id of gone and slotted the horrible little cockney tosser. That would of made for a better headline ‘Newcastle fan attacks a semi naked fat man!’

  • GC, There will be red faces at the Ashley household when the Sunday papers arrive.

And I thought it was the players like Ranger giving us a bad name.

Its the fat man stripping down and looking like a pervert that’ll do it like! Haha.

GREAT article this tbh, i really feel with Pards reading this.
Seems we were in talks with loads of strikers, but we were to cheap on the wallet. Hoping for an improvement in January.

anyone know how long ranger got left on his contract:

i.e. 3 years, so loan him for 1, if he hits form – we’ve got him for 2 years, or has a better price on his head……Or could he just end up leaving free in a year??

Only championship and below can get loans.

  • GC after a second look at Ashley stripping. I’m sure it’s a photo montage. Ashley is fatter.

Milner, Ranger signed a new 5 year contract in January. Only lost faith in him after he’d signed a new deal.

    @Boom Boom – Hungry striker?

If he was he wouldnt show up late for training consistantly, he’d also try when he got there.

We’ll be well shot of Ranger if he goes.

Well rid of tbh. He will never get a better chance that he has now thrown away. Can even see him ruining his career as he obviously couldn’t care less. Pity, he could it all if he would just knuckle down.

Why you slagging off mighty mike?
    Is it a credibility thing?
    😉 x
Your worse than the eyeties during the war you lad!
    Change with the freaking weather!
And don’t stick to your principals, I mean if I’d backed mike Ashley and slagged the ‘neggers’ off re transfer policy, ” I’ll stop writing here if we don’t sign gervinho or gameiro” I’d feel like a complete tw@!
    How us it then?

BOOM BOOM THE 1ST your not talking about Ranger when you said hungry strike. He couldn’t give a flying F since he signed a five year contract the sooner we get rid of him the better he’s trouble with a capital T

Get rid soonest. I can’t believe someone can’t be bothered to turn up on time to play football for the TOON. They don’t exactly start early!
He should try doing a real job. To think hard working people are paying his over-inflated wages is a disgrace.

Just as MA could let Joey go for free (If he actually could have sold him?) he can kill Ranger’s career. He can let him sit until the contract expires, at which point Ranger will have no value from not having played, or will have found his way back to jail doing stupid stuff out of frustration.

Nile actually needs to get into a really good martial arts school where he can learn to channel his emotions and self discipline. The kid has a boatload of talent that needs to be unlocked, and that won’t happen hanging out in bars till the wee hours.

    Boom boom @ # 17

Just shows how blind some folks can be the only thing ranger is hungry for, as the stupid moronic homie personally tweeted, is for a “mc d” breakfast.

We will do well to get shot of that “gangsta” liability and the sooner the better.

Already been locked up for armed robbery, followed that up by being kicked out of the saints FC for apparently stealing from his team mates lockers, followed by posing with guns (real or not) with his “gangsta” bro’s. Not to mention having a complete disrespect for the management and his team mates by never being on time for training nor committing fully to the training. Gets into a fight at stupid o’clock in the morning then assaults the two coppers who are arresting him.

Been with us since mid 2008, so now over three years and still behaving like a prize bellend,

How much longer before you finally open your eyes to that waste of space that is ranger?
