BBC Interview With Demba Ba After His Hat-Trick

The goal-scorer and hero  Demba Ba is in the middle there

BBC interview with Demba Ba after the game today

This player is so modest it’s ridiculous, but he scored three great goals today, and surely there are more to come,  now that he’s finally up to speed.

i did not see the game, and will have to watch it sometime later on.
Does anyone know where to watch the whole game on the net?

Was the game as good, as it sounds like?
Should we have scored more goals?
Did Ben Arfa play like a God, when he came on?

thought it was made for Benny when he came on, one on one with the keeper a thought he was just going to dink it over but he tried squaring it for Besty, bless him and besty didnt even do the same thing on edge of box if he had benny could of smashed one home but he shot and it went over haha but never mind good win and overall very good team performance

just heard Blackburn manager Keen saying that we only won because of the red card they got…
He says that one point for them should have happened.
    Is that purely bullocks?

Kean said the third goal was the turning point because we scored, Olssen picked up a yellow and Dann was injured

What a utter load of tosh we out played them for 90% of the game, had the lions share of the ball and created chances over and over again

Haha so you should be! I thought tiote was v good today. Broke up play v well. Seemed to be getting forward a lot more and didn’t just look like a normal defensive mid. Still a few heart attack moments from 1 or 2 of his passes mind.

problem with Tiote is atleast once a game he tries a first time pass without actually looking where he’s passing it and it always goes to they players haha but he only did it once today was tremendous all game covers well for defenders and offered a good option going forward aswel, but everyone is entitles to tha own opinion wether that be justified or not

Haha tbf I admit he wasent shocking (however I have been on the pop since 2 so am prone to a overexaggeration) I still think he was poor 1st half did pick up in the 2nd though but he dances around the ball in stupid areas when he can just pick out a short pass and get rid of any danger…much like he used to last season

Also was Guti trying to stake claim on the RW spot? He drifted over there a fair bit today Obertan looked worried haha

Btw I’m sure that Bruce was at SJP today to check Hoilett. The left-side is their problem atm, and Hoilett is a leftwinger. Hopefully I am wrong as I’d like to see us signing Hoilett. I’d use him either as striker or as second-striker. Wonderful player, and only 20 years old..

In the first half? Or in general?

Pretty much the same answer to be fair he doesnt get his head up enough to see passes when he goes on one of his dances, tries to do to much and takes to much time on the ball when others are begging for the ball.

He isnt diving into tackles anymore which is good though

But remb he’s still young at 22 yrs! He can improve, lets hope so..

I would love Holliet but both Ba and Best look good up front so far and our LW is covered with Guti Marv and Ferguson

I’d hate us to buy him then have him sat on the bench its a waste and it will hamper his development

    Lads,

What is more important than the result here, I have noticed, we have a spring in our step, a confidence, a relaxed non rushed attack, a purpose that I haven’t seen since SBR.

I tell you Pards could be onto something. The players are positively competing for places a spirit is there you can see it in the body language on the field.

I for one hope we DO get a no. 9 and I hope Santon gets in there. We do need some more players in Jan time in case of injuries we have seen what happens when HBA gets injured.

I have as a fan of his club since 92 ( I started watching the premiership then my country had no exposure of it )
Enjoyed this clubs approach to football. The Ginolas, the Lees, The Asprillas, the Robert etc. We are slowly crawling to that former glory if I may say things are looking up. Keep the faith.

    HWTL. I love you NUFC..

Was also wonderful that not a single person was sitting as soon as HBA stripped his gear off and got ready to come on

Best wanted to scored too much ald thats why he didnt tried to layoff for HBA.

He is still trying to prove himself very hard…maybe for the no.9?

He have tried his best..he is not the no.9 we are looking for. Thats for sure.

Hoilett can also play as a right winger as he did today, so he would also give some competition to Obertan. Remember he would not cost more than 5 million so I’d definetely buy him. Lovenkrands will probably leave after this season as his contract runs out so in Hoilett we’d have a very good replacement for Peter.

    @WWJBD
YES! I noticed that too. Every time he had the ball, he somehow managed to squize through a pass. He seemed to acknowledge his limitations when it comes to trying to dribble 3-4 people(!!!) and quickly passed the ball.
Him and Marveux playing the passing game would be so extremely fast, i doubt that even Best or Ba could keep up with it, especially HBAs passes, they came from nowhere.
Hence our need for a quick, nimble striker. Was fantastic to see him on the ball, dangerous EVERY time he had it.

    gorgonzola..
i said it the other day.. about Pardew that is…
he is the best manager we have had since Sir Bobby!
And all respects to Sir Bobby, bur comparing the two gents, i have to say that Pardew is on his way to doing better than Sir Bobby.
Come in mind Sir Bobby had lots of funds backing him to buy who he wanted.
Thats nor the case today with Pardew.
Sir Bobby is a true hero of Newcastle, and true legend!
If we win one of the cups this year, and qualifie for europe next year, i for one will look at Pardew as a Newcastle legend.
