Ashley out, sack the board, he didn’t buy a striker or a left back, things are terrible, Pardue’s a yes man, lets all boycott the matches…………strange how the neggers are very quiet at the moment. Where’s Angryman and his list of Ashley Lovers……..Things seem to be going very nicely thank you. I’m very please with the performance today and I think what’s helped is that the UNHAPPY PLAYERS HAVE GONE.

We now have good team spirit, competition for places and entertaining football.

Fantastic and long may it continue.

Very pleased for Ba, it will give him confidence, Loved the way the team tried to play Ben Arfa in.

Reckon we will be unchanged again for the next game, Unless Santon is fit. I did see Raylor get cut up by Hoillet on one occasion where it looked like he was showing him the inside line instead of forcing him to the outside. Only happened the once though.

We’re the only team to have let in as few as 3 goals in the first 6 matches…
    We’re doing something right.

@4 Lets not get too picky with our criticism. Raylor’s done very well when he’s been needed.

But he is a deputy and Santon will take his place all in good time, just like Ben Arfa.

It’s a nice position to be in when you know players will be automatic choices (Ben Arfa) but you don’t know who’s going to make way.

There’s also an interesting argument for Marvaux or Guti?

These are nice problems to have.

Going against some negative posts of the last entry, no matter how great we are playing, there are for sure a lot of people wanting us to play like Barca. Be real, people. I didn’t want to come here because I didn’t want to listen to the negative comments.

Seeing how great our lads play for now, I think I may try to leave a few more comments from now on.

Decent game Blackburn were poor though. Tiote was shocking until well into the 2nd half

Ba looked strong and he linked up well with Best but when HBA came on the whole passing game changed and it just clicked. Guti was good but I think carried a knock

Simmo was good but silly mistakes. Obertan pawned off his crosses on Simmo all game and Raylor is not a LB by any means

Colo and Cabaye both top draw though

Simpson has really upped his game to me! Last year no competition but with the arrival of Santon and form of Ryan Taylor he has been forced to up his game. Competition really is a good thing 🙂

WWJBD…..that’s the sort of “slit-your-wrists” stuff that we’re used to on this blog.

Thank god we’re getting back to normal.

All we need now is Angryman…or is he still trying to drum up an anti-ashley riot??????

i think we all know taylor is no left back, but he gets 10/10 for effort and trying to adapt for me. This team can be very dangerous once we get that balance at the back.

So glad the team are embracing Pardews style, a great combo of grit and flair. Players who can keep the ball and ease panic, I can’t remember seeing us play the ball out of the back so confidently. If Santon is even half the new maldini we’ve got serious reasons to be cheerful.

Without wanting to focus on January i think with some defensive cover and cover for Tiote we could be in business.

@Dai lets not get carried away about ashley. The fact remains he hasnt reinvested the carroll money and if Best had not stepped up to the plate, we’d be stuck with Ameobi week in week out. Imagine how miserable that would have been. Im not going to support any anti-ashley sentiment but this team still needs signifcant investment especially in all areas but especially defence and attack

It will take some time for some of our players to break into the team. And rightly so as the first 11 haven’t lost yet. But today we had HBA, Marveaux, Sammy, all who can change games. Santon to come back, and with 1 or 2 astute purchases in January we will be in good shape. And i had 33/1 today for Demba Ba hat trick, still can’t believe i put that on! Gonna be a good night!

All credit to Pardew and the boys, cracking team performance and our spirit is superb.

Nar I disagree on Tiote he danced around in stupid areas and fluffed his passes forcing Cabaye to come for it a lot in the first half. Earned his spot in second half but first was poor imo

WWJBD as sirtoon sed he gave the ball away once Tiote was immense today. Obertan may have give his crosses to simpson but most of the time it was because simpon had more time and space to deliver because the defense were trying to cope with Obertan. Raylor apart from his terrible pass played very well imo although cant wait until Santon gets fit.

    Overall poor comments imo.

spot on mate. Cheick was immense. I seriously wonder if people go to the games. Off the ball too his work rate was unreal. Loads of times today he was behind his back 4 covering. Semed to me that he was everywhere, like last season when I often thought we had 2 Tiote’s on the pitch. Demba Ba was super last week and got his reward today.

Lol made Cabaye come short he comes short of his own accord as he loves being on the ball. If you really believe Tiote was poor even in the first half i shall not bother reading future posts by yourself as they will be discredited.

you know what this highlights proves my point to a degree
yes it only shows the goals
    BUT
nothing good came from obertan,, none of the goals, i carnt remeber a good chance carved out by the guy, and as wwjbd has said, passed up good oppertunities to cross to simpson

and for all the those who asked if i watched the game, i have to ask you did you just listen to the match, on century radio, getting a totaly biassd view of the game,

we won today, and that is all that counts,

3 = Ba – played really well so much movement and was good with his feet also won a few free kicks aswel overall he got his reward for his last 2 performances

Anyway, all in all I reckon un beaten through 6 with 12 points, 3 conceded is just brilliant. I for one have faith in our manager to get the very best out of our squad. Yeah we aren’t gonna threaten the top teams, but we have a team that grafts their plums off, and that is all I have ever asked for. We get what we deserve because we work hard. Slowly but surely over the next 2 or 3 years we may just push towards the top 6.

    Tiote
    Ba
    Obertan
    Best
    Cabaye
    Coloccini
    Saylor
    Jonas
    Raylor
    Simpson

From best to ‘worst’ (they were all good, not much between many) from the 10 outfield starters IMO.

personally a think its going to be a damn shame to drop either Ba or Best when Bennys fully fit cos they beginning to forge a real good understanding of eachother.. a dont think a would play Benny next weekend just cos of Henry hes a dirty little twat and very strong in the tackle a just think maybe we should save him giving him a little extra time would defo try find a starting spot for Marveaux

We all know that defence is our weak spot, although we’ve conceded so few goals, it’s a credit to the lads.

We all know Simmo isn’t good enough for what we all want and Raylor will be replaced as soon as Santon is fit.

Pieters in January would be good for me.

If we can get a good striker for a fair price, then that would be good as well. But if they are all overpriced…….I’m happy to let things drift to next summer, if it means we pick up the same sort of quality for the same sort of price we have done this time round.

So far, our financial system seems to be working.

WTH? Tons of games on here in the US, but our match isn’t even being televised on delay. This is the second time so far this season and last season it happened twice… Links, though helpful and appreciated, are a distant 2nd to TV or ESPN 3 (online, excellent, even better on Xbox 360?s ap) here in the US as links are frustrating due to lag, drop outs, intrusive fake Russian video codecs, etc.. Oh well, Toon 3-1.
