As expected Alan Pardew will field an unchanged starting eleven from the side that got a good 1-1 draw at Villa Park last Saturday.
Newcastle of course made as many as nine changes for the 4-3 win on Tuesday night at the City Ground against Nottingham Forest.
And it’s good to see Steve Harper On the bench as the substitute goalkeeper.
As expected both Ben Arfa and Sylvain Marveaux are on the bench, and will likely see some action this afternoon, as could 19 year-old Sammy Ameobi who also makes the bench, but brother Shola is not included today.
19 year-old Shane Ferguson is also missing, as James Perch is included for defensive cover.
Newcastle United (4-4-2): Tim Krul; Danny Simpson, Steven Taylor, Fabricio Coloccini (c), Ryan Taylor; Gabriel Obertan, Yohan Cabaye, Cheik Tiote, Jonas Gutierrez; Leon Best, Demba Ba
Subs: Steve Harper, James Perch, Danny Guthrie, Sylvain Marveaux, Sammy Ameobi, Hatem Ben Arfa, Peter Lovenkrands
Blackburn Rovers: (4-4-2): Paul Robinson; Michel Salgado, Christopher Samba (c), Scott Dann, Gael Givet; Junior Hoilett, Steven N’zonzi, Jason Lowe, Martin Olsson; Mauro Formica, Yakubu
Subs: Mark Bunn, Grant Hanley, Vince Grella, Radosav Petrovic, Simon Vukcevic, Ruben Rochina, Jason Roberts

Comment #100Appreciate the links lads but that firstrow sports one isnt up to much, jerky and i keep getting spammed with ads blocking the screen, dont mean to be ungrateful but is there anyone with a better link…?
Also, if Obertan keeps getting his head up he’ll set up a lot of goals 😀
